First of all, I really admire your courage for saving the boy's life aswell as risking your own! I'm truly shocked at that woman's ignorance and rudeness. It's one thing to leave her son unattended but it's another thing to deny she has nothing to be thankful for when it's partly her fault her own son almost got killed. One thing I'm curious about though... if the truck came that close to the boy as you say, surely the truck would've seen the boy running across the road and honked the horn a few loud times? I mean if I was about to run someone over I'm sure it would be an instant reaction for me to honk the horn, and maybe even swirve around a bit. So if the truck honked the horn, didn't that woman even notice? Her mobile is more important? Imagine if the truck was heading towards her.

I don't think games necessarily result in people becoming more violent. Playing violent games I guess may play a part, but there would be other things too that contribute to violent behavior in people. I guess it depends... it may have different effects on different people. Some people may get addicted and start looking for other ways to get more excitement and some people may have played for years but they just treat it for what it is... just a game. But then again, most people these days may just be looking for something/someone to blame as an easy way out.

I would like to say I don't believe in ghosts, but I actually do believe that they may exist... whenever I'm alone in the house and it's kind of dark I can't help looking around and asking myself "What if... ?" It's kind of scary to think about even though we shouldn't really fear the dead. I say IF they do exist, then everyone should just respect them and leave them alone because they may not want to be disturbed...

People Against The War And The Soliders I HATE THEM
qingtian replied to --Stealth--'s topic in The Vent
I don't get war, can't they just work out some other way to solve their problems? I know it's easier said then done..... but I mean do they really HAVE to go and kill each other just to get whatever their point is across? If those soldiers want to go and risk their lives then whatever, I respect them as people and I admire them for their courage but I don't respect them in a sense that they are all causing more harm by having a war and possibly taking away innocent lives in the process. -
I'm from Australia. Victoria - Melbourne to be a little more specific, I'm originally from Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur though, I was born there and then I came to Australia when I was... I don't know around 3 years old or something. So yeah I have pretty much lived in Australia my whole life. Don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, I like Australia but I also miss my family in Malaysia a lot too.

It looks amazing for a personal website, you're quite an impressive website designer! The website has a proffesional look and also an interactive look which is great. I like all the colours used too, they blend well together. Anyway... you've done awesome work!

Your First Web Site ? ...when, how, where...
qingtian replied to SENV's topic in Websites and Web Designing
My first website was made like 4 years ago, and it was really... REALLY bad. Even though at the time I probably thought it rocked lol it was made on expage.com which is like the most easiest website server to build on because it does pretty much everything for you all you have to do is type the text in where you want it. My first website probably just consisted on a few images, a blog and shoutouts and a guestbook. -
Online Begging This guy really wants a Mac
qingtian replied to whyme's topic in Science and Technology
lol that was an interesting website, I wonder how long that guy has had the website up for? I can't imagine how long it may take until he gets enough donations to pay for the Mac Mini! It's kind of risky donating to those kind of websites, because you never know what that person is really going to do with the money. Like imagine after a year and he has got many donations and then he gets a Mac Mini from his parents or maybe he doesn't need it anymore or whatever, what's he going to do with all the donated money? Return it? Anyway, good luck to him I guess... maybe there are a lot of generous people out there online? I found it funny when I read the copyright bit at the bottom of the website: The Mac Mini is Copyright ? 2005 Apple Computer, Inc. All rights reserved. If you're Apple, please don't sue me, I'm only a student. lol -
lol people just don't take the hint it drives me up the wall. When I just want to sit by myself, there are always people around who come up and sit with me and start talking when I just don't want to talk to them. Even after a few minutes of awkward silence they still don't leave! I want to tell them to shut up and leave me alone, but then I don't want to be rude so I end up just sitting there trying to be polite

We're going to worry about what others think about us anyway, it doesn't matter how many times we're told that their opinions don't count because if they have a negative opinion about us - then it's going to effect us in someway. Everyone has their own opinions and everyone has their own way of percieving others - Whether it's right or wrong it doesn't really matter, it's just how it is. You can argue all you like about how people shouldn't judge others without really knowing them first, but the truth is most people already know it's wrong. It's not like it's going to change anything. Whether we want to admit it or not, we all do it in one way or another whether we speak it outloud or think it in our minds. It's natural because we're human aren't we?

Well at least not all rappers are like that. Just most of them I guess, I still like listening to some rap music though. It's just annoying to see those rappers who act like tough guys and wanna-be gansters - but then again I just remember what my friend calls rap. Retards Attempting Poetry. Then it just makes me laugh at them lol

I wouldn't mind making a couple of banners for you if you want, I can't guarentee I can make them straight away though because school starts up again tomorrow but I'll see if I have any spare time on the weekends. I'm not an expert at making them either, my designs are pretty simple, no great effects... but I could give it a go. Is there any text that you want on it besides The Sims Shopper/TSS?

Are Mobile Phones Dangerous? to the users health...
qingtian replied to googlue's topic in Mobile Phones
Personally I don't think mobile phones are dangerous unless it's going to blow up in your face or whatever like someone mentioned previously. In my opinion it really depends on the person who owns the mobile phone and how they use it. Like if you're in your car and your mobile rings and you decide to answer it while you're driving and you crash, then it's your own fault isn't it? Just use a mobile responsibly and use it for what it is, a phone. Like do you really need to buy really expensive ones or have all those extra features? I guess if there's nothing wrong with your mobile phone and you're not obsessed with it and only use if when you have to, then there's no harm done. -
Hmmm... the website doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment, it just stays blank and doesn't seem to load. So I'll try to visit it again and take a look at it later and then edit my post and add more suggestions if I have any. What I can suggest now is, you say you want to keep the colors as you have it now, lime green and a dark background? I suppose if you wanted something different, you could just mix and use different shades of those colours in your new layout.

New Hosting Credit System ! Is good or bad??????/
qingtian replied to solankyno1's topic in Web Hosting Support
I think the Hosting Credit System is really great, it makes things more organized and straight forward because forum members can now know exactly how long they can remain inactive and how many posts they need to make to keep their account healthy and prevent their account from being suspended or even terminated. At first I thought the 300 characters rule was a bit much, but now it seems pretty fair in a sense that forum members will have to make more meaningful posts and we will see less SPAM and one-liners. -
Judging by the thumbnails, they all look simple and quite a good design. It's pretty nice for a newbie, it's impressive to me also! By the way, when you click on the thumbnails - are they meant to come up in a new window as the actual size? Because when I click on them, it just takes me to back to the imageshack.us front page.

I think most people now have accounts on both Gmail and Hotmail. Both work fine for me, but personally I prefer Hotmail simply because I have used it for a few years and I haven't had any problems with it at all. I get no junk mail, and the Hotmail design is better in my opinion. I don't even use my Gmail account that much, I just use it for sending and recieving important e-mails and then I use my Hotmail account for everything else like sending and recieving e-mails from friends, family etc.

I have been so bored. This past month and a bit I have been doing pretty much nothing, because there's like nothing to do... or actually I'm just too lazy to go out and do things. Now I'm just waiting for school to start... finally, which is this Thursday. For those who made New Year Resolutions, have you guys been able to keep to it so far? lol
-
Well you know what they say, it usually does more damage to the person who won't forgive then to the person who won't be forgiven. All the same, I don't think you could really hate the person for not forgiving you, but probably be pretty annoyed? You said that "people who refuse to forgive aren't really honest people in relation with others or in relation with themselves" What do you mean by that? Refusing to forgive someone doesn't make you a dishonest person, it's better then saying you forgive someone when you really don't?
