  1. OK...this is a very real problem for some people. I recently saw a TV program about people with the problem you describe. It is called Sleep Apnea. It can be dangerous so you need to get professional help...Convince your Mom of that! Here is a link you can show her http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Also, I personally have trouble sleeping and I know why. I have a deficency in a particular NeuroTransmitter. NeuroTransmitters are chemicals that interact with the end points of neurons. These chemicals are produced naturally by the body and are essential for communication between Neurons. The NeuroTransmitter I lack is called Dopamine. Here is a link showing some research results http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I beleive in Alternative medicine rather than swollowing an darn pill the pharmicutical industry decides is going to make them millions. So, I would recommend that you look for a Kensiologist in your local area. Here is a link to the Sleep Hotline describing Kinesiology and a therapy http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I and others I know have terrific personal success using Kensiology and a treatment for various problems. It is an exciting alternative to main stream medical prctices. All the best.
  2. WOW I love this topic and discussion...everyone has put through some really good veiws.Quite a long time ago I did 1st and 2nd year uni studies in Computer science. One subject I studied was called basic maths A.I found it a very difficult subject and I failed and then quite the course. This maths subject was about a form of math the was used to discribe multi-dimensional space, and was called Linear Algebra using Matrices and Vectors. This form of math is nowadays most commonly used to calculate complex math for the reproduction of 3D images on 2D computer screens, like most good games and CAD/CAM/CAE software. The reason I found the subject so difficult was not because I had trouble understanding or visualising 3D, 4D spaces or concepts, but rather that I found it impossible to visualise or understand a level of dimensions up the nth dimension and beyound. And that is the type of calculation it is used for.The lecturer for the subject made this statement in one class "As a pure mathematician I can discribe any three dimensional object using Linear Algrebra". It blew my mind and I said to myself "woahhhh".Since then I have done other uni studies in science and really enjoyed chemistry and physics. In chemistry their are a number of very intimate bonds that exist between components of each of the molecules that make up the "compound"I think that Quantum physics and the string theory together may lead us to understand the delicate balance that exists between "Sub-Quark" (thats my term for it) particles, although I would not be suprised if this relationship is one based on pure energy rather than matter. And I think that is very exciting.I also agree that "Time" is a concept man uses to discribe the rate of change for all things. Everything changes, it helps to realise the rate of change for the object we happen to be studying. Many years ago while scientists where trying to prove their theory of the existance of the Quark, they can to realise an important fact of nature and the nature of the universe. At the time they tried to track the movement of the Quark and predict where and when it would be at a certain place so that they could "Capture" evidence of it's existance. What they discovered was that it was never where they predicted, and infact the harder the tried to find it the more difficult it was to "capture".I think this principle is now well documented. It has also been in at least one of the Stargate episodes :)I think that once we understand the energy component of matter then we will find a new direction and new technologies for it.Have any of you heard of "The Secret"? It has apparently been used by successful people for centuries, and an explaination is now available on DVD.Basiclly it says that if you truly want something for your future then you should put your dream/desires out to the universe. In reply the universe will put events into play in your life that will lead you to that result sometime in the future, even if you don't realise it is happening.I think our perception has a very big role in what we are able to understand. If we try to learn something new we need to take on a new perception of things. Any new discovery demands this.Success in most things requires 2 basic things of us, burning desire and persistance.I had an experience a few years ago that supported my belief that we exist here in a part of space that is multi dimensional. It is always easy to think of the multi dimensional space being out there somewhere, out in space. But if that principle exists out there, then it also exists here too.One night I woke from a restful sleep to hear the sound of shuffling feet, it was a warm night and I was sleeping on the sofa bed. When I sat up to try to find the source of the noise I saw three(3) opaque ghostly human type figures wondering through my house! They disappeared like wispy clouds on a breezy day.And yes, I may have been still dreaming, but thats what I saw.If we are to travel from one place in the universe to another place many light years away, then clearly we have to find a way to take time out of the equation. Folding space is not a new concept but maybe there is another way.And if humans are to travel in this way then clearly we need to take acceleration out of the equation also, at least the the duration of the journey in this way. No-one could survive that type of acceleration and deceleration.Maybe de-materialisation and re-intergration will be the key to traveling long distances like these, maybe not.But I think projects like the Human Genome project, Dark Matter project (underground test facility), Quantum Theory and String Theory will all play a major roll in unfolding the secrets we will need to enter the next leap in Human discovery.Love your work
  3. Oooh how I laughed to myself when I read this post. It brings back memories.I too used to be an electrician. But I was trained in heavy indusrty and really did not enjoy doing domestic work.I moved from industry to construction and at some points in my career did do domestic work, but the results where varied.Much of the time I agree with Zamaliphe, female clients like to understand what is is that you are doing for them. And if you can help them understand that and make them fell comfortable and at ease with you then they are more likely to pay the bill. However I did have a few experiences with female clients that did not want to pay the bill but rather only wanted to take advantage of the situation, most of the time they where middle management or administration staff of corporate clients.I walked into an office reception discussion one day where there were 5 ladies talking about things they needed to have taken care of at home. One older lady hit me up as soon as I entered the room, "tell us, why can't we get electrician to do work at our homes. There is a 6 month waiting list and more often then not they don't turn up at the appointed time"I said with out even blinking, "thats because you don't want to pay the bill"I knew this after discussions with many other electricians and tradies facing the same problem. She immediately replied, "Oh I want to pay the bill, I have a power point and a light I need fixed, and I think there is something wrong with my stove"I agreed to call in on my way back to my office and do the repairs for her, she agreed to accept the bill once I posted it to her and stated she would give me the key before I left. She came to see me some time later and gave me the key, she also said she had been out of the office and done some shopping, and would I take it with me and put the milk in the fridge. I reluctantly abliged.long story short, I sent her the bill and she rang my office and complained it was too high. I had to give her a 50% discount before she agreed to pay and yes we made a loss on that job.But not all females are like this. From conversations I have heard in public places, there is a community wide understanding that trades people and electricians in particular charge far too much. But any electrician can tell you they are paid too little.People are very reluctant to pay for anything if they beleive they are being ripped of, and business savy people will use any and all means to make sure they earn as much interest on the money in their bank account before they withdraw it to pay you.
  4. Hello people. First let me point out that I pretty much agree with the opinions here about illegal activeity in some countries. I think it is important that we keep things in perspective. It its very easy to formulate an opinion about the activities of internet based companies in other countries, but some supporting evidence might help the arguement. Here is a link showing the results of a perceived corruption survey Survey Index Map I think you will agree their are very few countries that are perceived as "un-corrupt". I also agree with Hitman that pryamidic schemes are illegal in post countries, and have been for more than 20 years. I was rather young when the pyramid scheme debate was first revealed, and the public out cry was so great that many governments made them illegal. I think it is important to understand the structure of a pyramid scheme because there are legal marketing methods that have since become available that can really help you to become wealthy. A "Pyramid" scheme was one in which a single person or entity (ie. Company) enlisted other independant distributors to market and sell products. This resulted in that single person or entity gaining a greater advantage than any other distributor, because distributors where locked into there position in the pyramid. Since the laws where changed a more modern marketing approach has been developed and improved upon time and time again. This modern marketing concept is termed "Network Marketing". It is not unlike many other forms of marketing where you find your own clients, however your clients can join your business and start their own leg or multiple legs. Infact, a successful network marketer that has more volume throughput than his/her sponsor is paid a greater percentage of commission and is moved to a higher pay scale then their sponsor. This is very different to the illegal method mentioned earlier. The exact structure of any paticular network marketing venture is determined by the parent company, and I advise you to be statisfied you understand the structure before you decide to sign-up. Not everyone is interested in this relatively new method of marketing and I beleive that is because older people still promote the demise of pyramid schemes, and rightly so too. But let's have a reality check shall we, pyramid scheme's are and have been illegal for 20 years. If you would like to look at a very exciting and amazing American based legal network marketing concept that distributes to over 17 countires you can do so here http://www.xangoasia.myvoffice.com/phillipkelly/ (This Link as beend edited by the author to comply with the TOS) PLEASE NOTE: The Link provided here is not an advertisement, it is a link to my own business website and is intended as a useful and supportive example of the content of this topic and post. Residual Income is income that you receive even if you go on holiday for the rest of your life. Having more than one source of income can mean that you no longer need your 9 to 5 job. Multiple streams of income makes more sense to me than retiring on a pension, if there is one!
  5. Hi Carson, I think your right on track to becoming a successfull entrepenuer(?). Having the right attitude is very important, and your post shows you have the drive and determination to succeed. At 17 you already have a great deal of experience, and it may take you a few more years to gain the business skills that you want to have. But don't sell yourself short, understanding the theory of running a business is of course the first step in actually putting things into practice. Remember this, most all theory has been put into practice already. That is actually a quote from someone I used to work with. Maybe I can explain, whenever your learning something new or trying to practice it, you need to understand that it can take a little time to realise that what you are doing has actually been defined by the theory you have studied ie. "You never forget how to ride a bike". It's just a matter of allowing yourself to link the skill you are using with the "theory notes" in your mind. I also believe in what you are trying to do. You are at the right age to be considering your future path in such a profound way. I would like to let you know what maybe a fairly obvious truth about anyones future, but many young poeple just don't like to think about it for many reasons. I'll try to make it more interesting for you. Leverage is a concept that we are not taught in school. Basically it works like this, if you start a business venture and you do all the work yourself, there exists a relationship between the amount of work you can complete in a 24 hr period and the revenue that it generates. That relationship is a 1:1 ratio. As time goes by and your business begins to accumulate wealth, you can then employ more people to help produce more completed work in each 24 hr period, so the ratio of hours worked to revenue gained starts to increase. And that is leverage. Many people never actually take the step of starting their own business and therefore are not able to change their 1:1 leverage ratio. If you look at how much money you need to have saved for the time you spend in retirement you will realise that a leverage ratio of 1:1 will make it very difficult to acheive. So, the thing to do as an entrepenuer is to develop multiple streams of income. You could start with your web development plan, and then add a few others along the way. I personally am planning to open my online consumer store on my new webpage when I get enough credits to launch it. I also have an international network marketing business that will provide me with residual income for life (income for little effort). It took a long time before I found a product I was really impressed with....you might like to check it out http://www.xangoasia.myvoffice.com/phillipkelly/ I will be happy to help any and all how visit this link to develop a residual income in over 17 countries. PLEASE NOTE: The Link provided here is not an advertisement, it is a link to my own business website and is intended as a useful and supportive example of the content of this topic and post. I also derive an income from Investment Property Sales here in Australia. So , I have a few streams of income at the moment. My advice to you and any other readers intrigued by this post is to go ahead and develop multiple streams of income for yourself.
  6. Hi nadazy, I have just joined the forum to gain hosting points so I can get my website started. Once up and running the site will be for the promotion and sale to consumers world wide of a range of consumer products. I would be happy to discuss an affiliate agreement with you so I can actively promote and sell your companies products through my website. What is the name of your company? Does the company have a website I can view? I have Chinese speaking friends that can help me to read your website if need be.
