I signed up with Share A Sale about a month ago. This place works like Google's Adsense but with more moneymaking potential. Firstly, you get to pick and choose what programs to join and advertise for. You have more control over what ad content is being shown. So if you don't like to support gambling sites, you can choose not to sign up for those. Next, you earn for leads and sales, not just hits. Google Adsense only pays you for a hit. Here you have potential to earn much more. I was pretty impressed with this particular program. You can review it yourself here. http://affiliate.buying-bar-stools.com/rg-erdr.php?_rpo=t I'm not sure how you would credit me (or if you'd even want to) because I'm not exactly sure how the affliate links in Share A Sale work. But just thought it'd be nice to share. Oh but there is one downside, and that is you only get paid when your balance reaches $50, but with Adsense you can get paid when you reach $25. However I'd think that it'd take longer to earn the Adsense $25 because you're earning a few cents per hit. Anyway I'm glad to report that this experiment worked much better than my paid surveys one.

You have to accumulate a certain amount and then you can email them (through some contact form I think) to get your check.

Firstly, I suppose there are very few people here who would want to do this. Most people want their sites to be listed on search engines, and these are probably the ones thinking that I must have a loose screw or something. But if you use your site for personal blogging and want to keep it open to friends and yet prevent your privacy from being infringed upon, this is worth looking at. What you need: 1. A text editor. Notepad works fine for me. 2. Coffee. (Not because you're going to stay up all night, but because I like to drink coffee for any and every reason possible ) Method One: Editing Your Meta Tags (Meta tags are what directs indexing bots to display about your page.) 1. Locate the html file which you want search engines to skip. 2. Right-click on the file and select "Edit". 3. The file should open in Notepad (or other text editor). 4. You should see the following tags in order: <html> (this tells the browser that this file is a html file) followed by <head> (where info like page title and css style goes) and then <title> Some Title </title> (the words you see in the top of your browser) and then <style> (your css style is defined between these tags) </style> </head> ... rest of the code like <body> and closing </html> tag. Your meta tags MUST go between the <head> and </head> tags. 5. Like so: <head> <title>My Page</title> <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> <meta name="googlebot" content="noindex, nofollow"> <style> blah blah </style> </head> What the first meta tag really does is tell all search engine indexing bots not to index your page. The second tag is specific to google bots. You don't have to include both tags. If you want your page not to be listed anywhere, include the first tag. If you want your page not to be listed on google, but are fine with listing on other search engines, then include the second tag. If you've got a meta tag fetish, you can include both tags. 6. Save your html file. 7. Upload to your server. + Note: If your page has never been uploaded onto the internet before, it will never get indexed. If you are uploading an edited version (an existing version of your page is online on your site), it will take effect the next time the indexing bot crawls your site (up to 2 months). Method Two: Removing Via Google's Content Removal Page The page can be found here: https://support.google.com/websearch/troubleshooter/3111061?rd=1 The directions for removal can be found on the page itself, so I shan't elaborate. It's relatively easier than the first method, but the downside is that it only affects google bots. If you were looking for total exclusion, you still have to go with Method One. That's it! Hope this was useful. ++ Disclaimer: this tutorial in no way guarantees safety from all stalkers. It might put off the less determined (read: psychotic) ones, but if they come knocking at your door, I suggest you dial 911 first, then hide under your bed.

What Is The Whole Point For Being "a Vegetarian"
dodgerblue replied to hellgate's topic in Health & Fitness
Well, that's subjective too - who is right to say that human teeth "are not meant for eating meat"? Or that they aren't "natural hunters"? How do you define "natural"? By birth? Or learnt? Secondly, you don't have to hunt to eat meat. You can eat carcasses. Like vultures. Kinda gross, but if you were starving in the jungle, you probably would. Next, nobody's saying that eating meat is the *only* way to survive... But personally I think you can't have a healthy diet overall by just eating vegetables alone, or just eating meat alone. Moderation's the key. -

Is Pc Gaming Going To Die>? discussion on title
dodgerblue replied to Goosestaf's topic in Computer Gaming
I seriously don't think PC gaming's going to die out. Not for the next 10 years I think. Maybe more, who knows?I've never even purchased a console in my life. I'm sure many people out there or down here (where I'm from) haven't, either. I quite like PC games. Suppliers here tend to charge exorbitant prices for PS2 games in comparison to PC versions. The Sims for example, costs $42 (Double Deluxe) for a PC Version. You pay about $30 for the PS version and it's only the Original, without the other expansions that's included in Double Deluxe. What's the point of buying a PS when you have to pay even more? I'd rather spend the money to upgrade my PC.Just some thoughts. Situations might differ in other parts of the world. -
Could you pm me on MSN please? Or whichever IM you're using (my contact info's on my profile). I want to close this page, I need to finish two articles by tomorrow morning or I fail my unit.I'll post whatever the solution is later tomorrow so others will benefit.

Okay. You mentioned you edited index.html. What do you mean by "edit"? Do you mean you created a new index of your own, or did you just make changes to the one that is already there? And what exactly do you want visitors to see? You might also want to take a look at the cPanel documentation http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
-
Personally, I hate cPanel. It buggered my .htaccess the other day and I had server errors and lost sleep and hair over it. I prefer to handcode all my pages, then upload them via FTP.I can recommend you some good programs to use. My all-time favourite is WS_FTP (either Home or Pro is fine). I think there is a 30-day trial available. I also like Crystal FTP Pro because it has this useful graph which lets you know how fast you are uploading files (ie, how much bandwidth you're using).Or you could just install something like WordPress or CMS:Blog (or is it Blog:CMS? I can't remember ) to handle all this stuff for you.

It takes some time for the DNS changes to propagate, you can expect to wait up to 3 days (72 hours) for changes to take effect.

How Much Do You Pay For Your Internet And How Fast Is It?
dodgerblue replied to truman69's topic in General Discussion
I have a 54.0 Mbps cable connection, and I pay around S$60 a month. It's in the package with my cable TV. I have to pay for the individual TV channels, though. The connection's pretty fast, but it slows down at peak periods sometimes I have to wait ages for Trap 17 to load. It's aggravating especially when I want to attack people. Oh and S$60 is around US$36 I think. -
I'm not opening until July, didn't you read the notice? All my work is located at the blog link... Guess you didn't bother to find out.

I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes and after that it got stuck in my head, and I sang this the whole day and drove my entire family crazy. By the way, they're singing it to me now. Disclaimer: I will take no responsibility for sudden extreme interest in tablets, bricks or potatoes. Or leprechauns. Or inexplicable urges to sing this song in the car or shopping malls. If you have small children, don't let them hear this song or you'll regret it for the rest of your life (or as long as you can hear). You have been warned!! http://www.patricia-niklaus.de/

I use WordPress. It's not exactly a content management system per se, but it's more of a blogging tool that has huge potential and with a bit of know-how you could tweak to make it into a CMS.With Version 1.5 (which is out already) I think you can create pages infinite levels deep and it will all link back from the main page (the directory where you installed it).I only just installed it last night so I couldn't really tell you all of the features but so far I'm loving it. You should go check it out, really. I think it's up at https://wordpress.org/

My sims 2 site is located at sims2.tatatee.comHave a look and comments are welcome :blink:As for object making, I only do recolours because I don't trust myself to do any more than that. I do mainly clothes though I have a few object sets that are waiting for school hols to come round so I can run the game and take screenshots. I don't trust myself to run the game during the semester I might get carried away. Grin.

Well, NOW you tell me Oh well. Better late than never! Then frankly, there aren't *any* good pay per click, lead or sale or paid survey or whatsoever ad sites that help you make a decent amount of money and pay you at a decent rate (ie not having to wait until you accumulate US$75 in order to be paid). So much for bursting that bubble...

1) Notting Hill - Because I'm a closet romantic masquerading as a cynic who is actually a naive optimist. Leave you to figure that one out. Oh, and also because I'm a total pushover for pretty (Brit!) boys. (Although technically Hugh Grant can't be considered a boy anymore... But nevermind that.)2) LOTR - Orlando Bloom. What else is left to say? Okay, if not for him, I'd prefer the books, really. Hmm, he's British too. Maybe I should migrate to the UK... 3) Pirates of the Carribbean - I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Arrr! Oh, and yes, having both Orlando and Johnny Depp in the same movie makes for better value for money :)And now I'll grant your wish and stop gushing... Before you hurl.

Itunes For Pc Does anybody have/use iTunes on their PC?
dodgerblue replied to shigajet's topic in Software
I'm very happy with it. It lets me convert wav files into mp3 files up to 320kbps quality. I used it to burn a cd of songs I sang for my friend's going-away present. It's really easy, I just plugged a mic into my laptop, hollered away, recorded with Sound Recorder (primitive, I know ) and converted them into mp3s with iTunes. When I played back the songs, they sounded really good. Or could be to do with my mic but anyway I like the burning feature in iTunes better than the inhouse one that comes with Windows. That's simply inaccessible. But even if I didn't own an iPod or a mini I'd just download iTunes for the heck of it and pretend I owned a cool gadget. Hehe. -
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to reply to threads as old as this? But anyway it wasn't locked so... Pardon me if I broke a rule or something... cragllo do you want to affliate? PM me. It is, actually, possible to make your own objects now. I'm not sure if the program is still in a closed beta testing stage but I think it should be open by now. You can get it here at this site which is my favourite site of all time - Mod The Sims 2.This is the place where you get the programs and packages to help you make your own custom objects, and skin meshes. There's also a regeneration booth but it's in the form of a painting. But a word of warning: BE SURE TO READ THE INFO posts in the forum first! Or you might find yourself having to sit through an hour-long reinstallation process, and worse, you might have unknowingly spread corrupted files on the Sims2 Exchange so please be very sure you know what you're doing
