  2. The main problem with the Israeli-Palestinian dispute is that both sides rely heavily on the theory of "an eye for an eye", of violence and revenge. If one side sends a suicide bomber to blow up a few innocent citizens (and tourists too), the other would reply by sending a few of its gunships to the other party. Peace is not possible unless one of them suddenly decides not to retaliate. But that's doubtful too, considering the Arab side, which loves to terrorize other nations, not only Israel. I don't think they will ever stop unless the whole of Israel is occupied. The problem here is religion, of neo-Islamic teachings of Jihad and other primitive thoughts. Notions such as reward on the other side for murdering infidels etc. If, for example, the Palestinians had been Christians, or Buddhists, or any other religion, this war would have taken a different turn. Talks would be more productive, and there will be more understanding between leaders. Israel, on the other hand, for such as small state, has so much power, mainly because of the US support, so mix that with a whole lot of pride and ego, and what do you get? Loathe. Envy. Jealousy. And who is the next door neighbor that's really pissed? - Palestine, of course. And being a Muslim nation (like all Muslim nations), violence and war are in their blood. So, the conflict between Israel and Palestine was inevitable. Two diseased nations infecting one another in a vicious circle that will continue unless and until one completely wipes out the other.
  3. Now that's what I call a witty, really creative sense of humor!
  4. can't access the site..it's http://www.reconraiders.com/, right? Something's wrong. Page won't open
  5. 30 cigarettes a day!? If that doesn't kill you soon, you're going to get some really nasty health complications. I'm telling you man, just how old are you? If you're past your 30s, chances are also higher. But I agree with your opinion that most addicts wouldn't really care even if they know the full side effects of cigarette smoking. I understand cos i used to smoke 2 packs a day too. I knew I needed help so I went into counseling and now, I'm cigarette-free. Try nicotine patches or gums. they really help too.
  6. The trick to creating a successful website is not just how aesthetically pleasing it is to visitors, but the quality of content. And I think yours is not bad at all concerning that. However, as for the design and interface, a lot of people, including some of us here have stressed the importance of simplicity, and I agree with that too. However, simplicity shouldn't be confused with amateurism. For example, if you prefer to put a a simple layout with plain colors, it's good to concentrate on some specific graphics, such as the logo, to make your site look more professional. Remember, visitors would never come back if they think the website they just visited was created by somebody just to past his time. I'm not saying that yours looks amateurish but there's room for improvement. For instance, you could try and add more graphics on the homepage. You can take a look at my website to have an idea of what I'm saying - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. If you check out the shoutbox on the right hand corner, you'll understand that this gives you the advantage of tracking how many visitors are interested with your website, and also adds more interactivity between visitors. But it's gonna require you to take a few php scripting tutorials to set up one if you're not familiar with it. You should also really consider creating a forum, in which fans of keego could discuss about the model, or anything else they want to. This will certainly bring more traffic to your website, I guarantee from experience. (you can easily set up a forum with Xisto. example, like this - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) As for the guestbook, if Xisto also has a ready-to-install php guestbook, the one I'm using myself. So, you need not sign up with other websites such as smartgb.com for a free guestbook. Like I mentioned before, we need to make the site look as professional can be so an url such as http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ would look more professional than the one you're using now i.e. http://users3.smartgb.com/g/g.php?a=s&i=g35-16027-1a, which is totally unrelated to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Overall, your site seems great and I wish you all the best. Hope this helps...
  7. What does "GoDaddy" offer anyway? Free domain name or free hosting or both? I've heard the name a couple of times but never checked them out. Don't really need to bother now anyway, cos Xisto has give me all my web hosting needs. Features are just awesome. I just wish I had the time and money to run a more professional website with Xisto.By the way, have any of you guys calculated how much time it would take to get 280 credit points for the free domain name? I have no idea how to, so it'd be great if you could help me out. An approximate would also be welcomed. Thanks
  8. This is the car I own, and the best I ever owned in my opinion -GETZ, a front, transverse, front-wheel drive car is a brand owned by HYUNDAI. The layout is basically a 4-cylinder, using naturally aspirated petrol, with a 1341cc engine. It runs at a maximum power of 82.9bhp at 5500rpm, and Maximum torque of 11.8kgm at 3200rpm. Gear type is 5-speed automatic, with Power assisted rack and pinion steering. GETZ runs at a maximum speed of an estimated 165/5680 (kph/rpm). That's pretty fast, and I love fast cars. The suspension is an independent with MacPherson struts, with torsion beam axle (front) and Gas-filled dampers (rear), which is a bit rough when in motion, but is quite useful when driving on a full load on roads with potholes and bumps. As for interiors, everything is neat, tidy and spacious. Even for a 6 foot guy like me, there's lots of legroom in the driver's seat too. Fuel consumption, on the other hand, is not too efficient in comparison to its counterparts such as the Maruti Swift, but I don't really care. Performance is what really matters, and it has kept me satisfied for about a year and a half now.
  9. Here's some of the things smoking can do to you - 1) Smoking contributes a number of different types of cancers2) Your heart rate and blood pressure abnormally increase, which can strain your heart and blood vessels3) Smoking contributes to heart attacks, strokes and other related complications.4) Smoking can cause Emphysema, a disease that gradually deteriorates your lung condition. Emphysema also leads to bronchitis.5) As a smoker, you have ten more times chances of dying from lung cancer than non-smokers.6) one in five deaths from heart disease is caused by smoking, and that's three out of four in younger people. So, Quit Smoking while you can. It brings nothing to your body. It rots your system and ultimately kills you.
  10. Nope, i did not try password recovery. There was no increased in my warning bar. It remained 0. Okay, I think some of my posts were deleted by the moderators due to lack of quality. Thanks for the help anyways, guys.
  11. No one I know in my neighborhood uses a legit copy of Windows. It's all downloaded or either copied from others. That's what Microsoft has to pay for putting such a high price on the OS. Who wants to spend more on software than hardware? It's not only with Windows. Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Norton antivirus also come in the long list of wares that will also be pirated as long as they exist.
  12. I really don't worry about the warning emails, but what worries me here is that if there's 10 days of credit in my account, how come that goes down to -6.6 within 5 days? I'd be really grateful if one of the moderators/admins could help me out with this question.
  13. I've tried out most of the above listed emails, and one thing I've found out is that nothing beats gmail. it's fast, reliable and of course, free. I don't like the java version though, because it's too slow. Yahoo mail comes next but you need to pay for pop3 access, which is what I don't understand. They provide with unlimited online mail storage but charge you for pop3/imap access. They should make this free if they want to increase their popularity. Hotmail comes last in line for me because it's too damn slow.
  14. I don't know much about Islam as a religion. But here's some things I DO know about militant Islam:1) 270 million infidels or non-believers have been murdered by Muslim jihadists over the last 1400 years. An estimate of 60 million Christians, 80 million Hindus and over 10 million Buddhists have been killed during this period.2) ninety to ninety-five percent of all conflicts and wars in the World today involve conflicts between Muslims against non-Muslims or against other Muslims.3) According to the Muslims, "jihad" is a struggle, a personal endeavor to achieve higher moral standard. But as we can all see after 9/11, it has become a representation of violence, hate, and terrorism against infidels, especially those of the western World. Therefore, Islam as a "religion" of peace" has become absurd.4) Wherever Muslims are in majority, other religions are suppressed.5) No matter how many theories and arguments have come up saying that women are treated equally in the Muslim society, the reality is that the status of women in ninety-nine percent of Muslim communities around the world, is nothing but deplorable.
  15. That's absolutely right. Google has become so big that it's now at the edge of ruling the whole internet world. If Google says you're cheating, then you're a cheat. If Google says you deserve to earn it, then you get tons of money. As Google becomes bigger and bigger, the rest of us become smaller and smaller. The World is an unfair place, it's best to learn how to accept that fact.
  16. Ghosts, to me, are very real. But not in the way that books and movies portray them. To put it simple, they are the souls of the deceased who haven't reached the other side. They are not scary or grotesque (only if they had not been when alive) like most people think they are. I have friends who have told me stories about loved ones that have talked to them in their sleep. Those who have actually seen them told me they look just the same as their were in their previous lives, but more radiant and peaceful.Has anyone seen the TV show, Touched By and Angel where in one episode a guy who was already dead was staring at his family who were gathering around his lifeless body in the hospital, hoping that he's wake up? That seemed so realistic to me. I've heard stories of people who's left their physical bodies and floated in the air, immaterially and without weight but with perfect form. From my own experience. My ex-girlfriend at college died in a freak accident a few years ago. That day she died, according to what I heard later, the doorman to her apartment saw her come home, looking exactly the way she left. It didn't actually freak me out cos she was my girl and I knew her really well, but the doorman heard the news, he nearly jumped out of his pants. I've also got a few other real life stories about ghosts but I'll maybe share them all with you later.
  17. I went on a trip for 4 days. I had about 9/10 days of credit left in my account. I came back today to find that I've got -6.6 days. Can anyone please tell me how this is possible. By the way, I never received any warning email of any sort.
  18. Forget those rats..let's worry about the rats that has infested our government systems, values and beliefs.
  19. Exactly what I've always believed. Especially with Indian women. they reach their 30s, then 35, they get sexier and by their 40s they have become so obese that you look at their old pictures and weep
  20. What i believe - the al-qaeda wants to take over the world with violence and terrorism. the US govt on the other hand, is doing the same with a more subtle tactic
  21. I had been looking for a good free hosting provider for two months. As we all know, they are really hard to come across, and even if you do, there are always some kind of strings attached, such as slow server response, no sendmail or smtp, etc. So one day, I read some reviews and decided to check out Xisto. To be honest, my hopes weren't that high considering past experiences. But then, I decided to earn the 30 points and see what happens. What I got in return was more then I had expected. I need not stress there. We, who have hosted here, know very well. My next plan here is to earn a free domain name by earning 280 credits, so I think I'm gonna hang around for a while...
  22. Wow, this is great...This actually means, that within a few weeks of quality postings, you can get yourself a free domain name. I love this scheme. And I'm gonna keep on posting as much as I can. The best thing is, the topics in the forum are pretyy interesting so it's not really hard work to earn 280 points.
  23. Ok, people let's not go too far with this. I started this topic just for good fun. There are a lot of theories regarding our universe and no one can say this particular idea is the one that holds credit. Any type of theory, no matter how absurd it is, should not be rejected without a second glance, but rather ooked into from a rational point of view. for instance, no human being's actually seen a dinosaur, right? And no one's actually nuked the sun. So these are just theories, without proof. But they exercise your imagination and creativity, so that's why they are worth discussing.
  24. Nope, the forum skin was designed by Deviants. I've changed the skin though. It now looks a lot cleaner and complements the main site better. thank you all for checking out. Any suggestions are welcome.
