  1. I'd personally stick with iPods. They may not be the cheapest, but they're usually pretty good quality with a nice warranty, and they have a lot more support as far as compatibility and accessories go.About the earbuds, Ankit, I've had 2 ipods already and the buds lasted me a very long time without any crackle. But maybe you're playing the wrong kind of music too loud for too long or something. If they keep messing up on you, I'd suggest buying higher quality ones. You can get a pretty good pair for 10-20 bucks.[Or you could get actual headphones that go over your ears. They're more expensive and bulky, but they do a damn good job with music. Whenever I'm at home I'm usually wearing my big computer headphones [microphone and all], just because they're that much better.]

  2. Hey guys how do i play everquest please answer some of these question

    1. Is everquest a game that doesn't end or is it a game with some limited levels?

    2. Do i have to pay a fee for creating a player? or do i only have to buy the CD

3.On the Website ther is no Option to create a Character do i Create when i buy the CD?

    4. Is there a limitedtie on the Cd?

    1. It's pretty much a game that doesn't end. The current maximum level is 75, but you can advance your character and explore the games literally forever after that, and level 75 alone is no easy thing.

    2. You buy the CD and then pay a monthly fee [i think it's around 12 dollars per month now] to play.

    3. You create your character from the game's client [which, by the way, is very large, especially if you add any of the expansion packs. make sure you have disk space.]

    4. I think you mean limited time? No, there's no limited time as long as you pay the monthly fee. You can pay by credit card, or you can find/order game cards that will give you a code to allow you to play for 30-60-90 days.

  3. I'm definitely for Opera, but I don't like the torrent feature at all. It's too slow, not detailed, most of the time doesn't perform nearly as well as a client [like uTorrent], it's missing a lot of the features I like to use, and so on and so forth. Also there's no way to tell Opera to use a different torrent client by default. I have to copy torrent links and have uTorrent grab them. I think this feature should be removed, at least until they can get a more definite solution. But then again, I'd feel weird leaving my browser open all night downloading torrents. Dunno why...BUT, that's my only real issue with Opera. It's got a ton of other great features that I'm suprised other browsers haven't copied yet, like mouse gestures, the search shortcut, voice control, etc. And it's still faster than every other one.

  4. So...I'm bored at work, and I figure I should do something [other than work] to occupy my time. And I think now would be the best time for me to learn CSS...I've got plenty of time and I don't have any computer/video games or tv to distract me.

So I was just wondering, for any CSS designers out there, where/how did you learn it? Links to online material are appreciated.

EDIT: Oh wow, Tim's right...one more post to 3000. I should make it a sig topic or something...

EDIT 2: AW MAN, I left and forgot...my 3000th post ended up in Mike's topic.

  5. An easier way of detecting who has it would be to have one image everyone uses [or a small set of different sized ones], and then checking the stats on that image to see what pages are hotlinking it. BUT, even that would be very hard to keep track of and give out credits for.I think people shouldn't have to be rewarded to link back to their hosting site. If you like T17, you should link to us. If not, you don't have to. But on the other side of that token, 1 credit a month won't hurt anyone, and it might encourage people to link back to us.

  6. I'm going to have to ban you for using words we can't pronounce.English only on this Forum.

    Try pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

It's easier than it looks, and definitely easier than the hexa dealie. My mom taught it to me when I was younger.

I'm not afraid of the hexa dealie, but it does kind of have that weird "haha, look, it's 666" effect. I remember scrambling to take screenshots whenever I hit for 666 damage in ragnarok online.

  7. I'm looking at them on a white background [have to view in FF, my computer's dying and won't run high-memory programs like Photoshop anymore] but they look very well done. Doesn't look like there are any sharp or overblurred edges. I'd have to see them on a black bg to see if there are any uncut edges left, but something tells me there aren't any.Nice job, CR.

  8. Like BuffaloHELP said, I'd invest in kevlar. It's lighter anyway. <3Besides, if you're that big, why would you need to be bulletproof? You're not gonna rob a bank...it'd take like 2 hours for you to get to a getawar car, and 2 more to get in...unless maybe you have a getaway pickup truck, or getaway uhaul...

  9. Oh, well hell, you know what you're doing...why am I even bothering? lolProbably a dumb question, but did you try the Disk Manager from Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management? It might show that invisible partition of yours...it shows the RAW partitions that won't show up elsewhere in Windows...

  10. But the programming to create a raffle system by scratch to fit the credit system would be insane, it would be a combination of javascript and php.
I would say the winner of the raffle would win the credits that where spent in purchasing the tickets. Like 100 were sold that be like 1000 credits that person would win.

I spend my winnings on a new car

Why would it be insane? And I don't know javascript, and very little of php, but why would it require both? Maybe you're thinking javascript for picking the winners at random, but I assumed an admin could just pick the winners from a randomized list of entries [there are online randomizers, if need be]. But if there was an old raffle system for IPB, it shouldn't be too hard to build one around the hosting credit system...

And if we really had that many entries, we could probably split it into the first 3 picks... 1st gets 500, 2nd gets 300, 3rd gets 200. of course, it would depend on the number of entries, but we could figure out a ratio for that. That one would be like 50:30:20 percent. Either way, even 3rd place would get a ton of credits.

If that causes problems [say the winners are applying for free domain hosting after each drawing, which I think costs us money], we could split it between the top 10, or just take a percentage off the top, to keep the individual gains from being too high.

  11. Yep, I get a good number of spam emails a day too...around 30 on average. It happens to just about everyone who's active in different places of the web, especially if you've signed up for any "free" offers at one point or another. Almost all spam emails give you the option to "opt out" and not recieve anything else from them, but lots of times I've noticed the emails never stop coming, or even worse, they sign you up for MORE spam. It's an awful awful place in the email world, you just have to learn to live with it, and find out ways to get around it.Personally I'd suggest switching from yahoo over to gmail. Gmail generally has a really good reputation for blocking spam email, and it's members are less likely to be spammers themselves. I'm sure this is largely in part of the invite system Gmail uses - you can only join if you get an invitation from a current Gmail member. BUT that's really no problem for normal people, because there are so many people using Gmail nowadays, and most people have all 50 of their invites unused [which get replenished every month, I think].If you want, I can send you one of my invites.
