i also hope this will b for longer period (read: as many years as posible) couse our admin looks like good and honest person, what i cant say for other ppl that run free hosts all around internet.all i can do to help is to spread the word around, vote for FNH wherever i can, ill also put a link on my site, <- snipped -> ads... ect...if some1 can think of something more it would b great..admin knows best... why dont we let him tell us what he needs?give us some suggestions and im shure many of us will do it.}

I think that this is a good idea.I've never thought of it - i've just always accepted that free hosts died and others had to be found.I cant think how one would work..i mean, either a back up somewhere is set up for us - in which case we need an awful lot of expense on a spare, and currently unused host - which is a waste.... or the specs are dropped dramatically to save expense, causing this host to no longer be so good.....Or perhaps we could set up a donation/one time fee scheme - to raise the funds for a succession / to ensure backed up and temporary accomodation for our sites in the event of a disaster?Perhaps we could keep a small list of the best alternative freehosts to go to if this one day fails...to save on the searching....Just my 2 cents..

The way that theres this ZZAP / zoom effect to the green beast made my jaw drop when i frist saw it. Very innovative, to me at least.The general feel of the sig is very nice, i like it a lot.Did you make the beast yourself?Only thing is that you should use a clearer (or bigger) font with your site's address. I had to retype it quite a few times to get it right to actually see your site.

yeah, new zealand just got a law like that too, its really stupid. bars get fined for smokers smoking in them but not the smokers. if you dont like someone smoking next to you go stand somewhere else, just like people building houses next to airports and complaining about the noisy planes :shock:

Before i came here i had a quite comprehensive login script that worked fine...but for some reason here my registered sessions keep changing when i load a certain page (and i cannot work out why in the scripting). I've decided that i probably need another login script that uses sessions and works here. Any suggestions are welcome. For ease of implementation on my part i need it to work with the following details: 1) Email activation. - though that i can probably do myself 2) Last Login time - i have a IM system that uses that 3) Variables registered to sessions 4) Varying User levels - the backend for this doesnt matter, i just need it to recall from the DB what level someone is and set the session accordingly (Admins = 3) Thanks hugely for the help Welbis My current users table (- little extra's that i can add easily enough) is as follows. Sorry to say this but I was using a trial version of photoshop and it expired today. So it may take some time to get the logo edited to the way you were looking at. I am excited to how it will look. You can post tips about how to get more traffic to your website here.My tips are:1) Submit your website to google. This is free and easy, you can do it on the website of Google. This is optional.2) The most important thing is to get some links from other websites. Try to search for a website that has similar content as yours. Contact the administrator of that website for a link exchange. Most of the time, you won't get an answer, but if you have a good website, you will certainly get a response soon from one of them, if you send a lot of those emails. 3) Try to get in some directories. The best known is Dmoz, but it's hard to get in there. You can also try in Zeal. Just search for google for that and try to submit in as many as possible (different) directories. If you're lucky you'll get in a number of them.All those links will help you to have a better google ranking and to get more traffic.4) Try to participate in website contest/awards. This is not as good as it might look, because most of the visitors you get are very quickly gone.5) You can present your website in different forums. This is very risky, because those posts can be considered as spam. Post them only in a topic called "cool sites" or "review your website" or something like that. You'll get a lot of visitors in the next week, but you'll have to do this every week, so this is NOT an option in the long term.You must have a good website with a lot of content and don't try to worry a lot about those keywords.
