i know what you mean. but to give an idea of the power and efficicency of wormguard, as long as nothing tries to infect my system, i cant even notice it running, yet to test it i have written some harmless worms and virii that have never been released and arent recognized by any AV signature file, yet it stilll intercepts them and blocks them from running I have never tried wormguard, but I believe you. However, I believe that all virus-scanners can be categorised in 3 groups, - good, mediocre and poor, and there's probably not a lot of difference within the same group. Examples from personal experience: Good; KAV, Antivir. Mediocre; InocculateIT, Pccillin. Poor; Norton, McAfee. I have been using Antivir for some time, but recently they changed the internal reference method to tcp/ip, Which shows up on my firewall as networktraffic when there shouldn't be any. So over the past few months I have installed AVG on most of my computers. This one is the only one I haven't switched yet, but I will in the next couple of days. By the way, it did detect the trojan - it was the sheer size of theattack which got it thru. I have been running AVG on some of the machine for about 3 months, and so far, I'm very happy with it, - it's free, it's unobtrusive, it integrates very well with my email client(the Bat), and it has so far been very effectve. But if I ever need to change, I will give wormguard a go. Yes I have used Trojan Defence Suite for several period over the past 5 years, but I'vr always ended up removing it again after a while. I don't question it's effectiveness and it has a lot of options you wont find in other programs, but.... for some reason, it has never really cut it with me! So far, it seems to be good.
  4. Happy New Year. Let's make this one the best one ever

  8. I used to like playing this one every so often but I can neevr seem to get otno the servers any more. It's too hard to organise having people waiting to get on, as often one of you will get in and the other won't, so you still won't be able to play a game. if they manage to get some more capacity for their servers then I will have to go and play a bit more again, but for now the waiting is too much of an annoyance for me to want to keeo going back.
  9. I played both the age of empires games and found they were both very good fun. They are just complicated enough to make the game interesting and worth coming back to play every so often without being too hard to get into. the single player campaigns were easy to follow and walked through the game basics fairly quickly, and playing online worked well as long as there was a good group of people there to play with. I tried to do a bit of editing in the second game to make my own maps and things but never really got to grips with it enough when I had the time, and just don't have the time for it any more really.
  10. oo ye, the guestbook - that matched better with the last layout. you're right, i should prolly change that haha!my website is dedicated to my idols and inspirations who make my life worth it - it's not really the kinda i update alot with news, etc. i just usually just update and add more to my work in my "graphic samples" page and maybe add more pictures of my idols in each of their pages - but i usually don't have alotta time for that. it's a small little personal/fansite - but you can prolly tell that.i made the layout with adobe photoshop so that's why they load in "slices". ye, you want it kind of "Interlaced" i think that's the word you mean.but i'm cool with this, i mean it's not i'm getting paid for it LOLthanks for your observation and comments! i appreciate it!
  11. There are lots of sites which have a selection of smaller games you can play which are good for filling a few minutes. Were you after something like an online RPG on a website, or just something for a few minutes at a time? Try http://www.miniclip.com/games/en/ or http://www.shockwave.com/home.jsp. They both have a good selection of games. If you're after something a bit bigger, kings of chaos is good fun and very addictive. Adventure quest can also be very good for killing spare moments. Have fun.
  12. I had worms on my pc years ago and have often played other versions, on pc or on consoles. It makes a great game for a group of people to play because it's very easy to pick up and you don't get new players struggling to work out what's going on. At the same time, if you play a bit, you can get a lot better quite quickly as you get used to the weapons etc.
