im sorry to say this but im running winXP on my machine for a few years now and NEVER a single problem or LAG or naything. you just dont know how to handle windows so you get linux wich is an OS specialy made for dummies like you stop falming windows or i will call my dad(bill gates) so he can hire an assasin, your a disgrace to the community

Update to the newest version of phpBB (currently at writing this it's 2.0.11). Update the php (only the admin can!) to at least 4.3.10. A good configuration of the serversoftware.

i dont really like phpnukebut wont phpbb2 with a download mod do the trick? i wants something like this site an index page with news and the a menu with forum downloads.etcdoes xoop do this?

I say phpnuke. Has got a lot of mods to suit ecactly what you need, already pre-built forums etc to setup community easily. It also has a good support base if you ever need help.
