ok, i set my name servers a long time ago. also, wen i looked up teh servers, they had problems. also, i think this might be that my cPanel doesnt know how much stuff i have, like space, domains, anything. where could i get support OTHER THAN TEH TICKET SYSTEM?

Thank you, 101! I tried what you said to do and it worked like a charm! At first, I only included the "email" parameter everything worked out just fine. I had been wracking my brain for most of last night trying to figure out how to do this, so you can imagine how very grateful I am for your solution! Silly me! :oops: I was so wrapped up in trying to find out how to tinker with the <form> tag that it never occurred to me to look for a mail function in PHP. Oh well... live and learn, I guess. BTW, if anyone wishes to email me a message via my form (just to see if it really works) please use this new address (I uploaded a new file because I didn't want to overwrite my original one, in case something went wrong.) Also, you will need to either include your email address in the "Message" section of that form or monitor this thread for my response. That's because I haven't configured the form to email data from any other field but the "Message" one as yet.

It seems like alot of you have broadband. Does this mean that many of you are just being cheap and not get paid webhosting? If many can afford paid internet fast speed connection, certainly paid webhosting is not a big financial burden, right?

I cannot change permission of any files & folders. What could be the problem? I had cmod-ed many folders and files in the past, startinf from root folder to extension files.... suggest me please....

It is a paid software, but someone could have paid the copyright to be able to host everyone who wants a vbulletin. Just that it is so expensive to buy that copyright.

For me, I like not having fantastico. I uploaded Mambo 4.5.2 and it was a good experience. I learned many new lessons through this process which I will never know if I'd installed directly from fantastico. Now I'm confident that I can install any kind of cms, forums, etc. :mrgreen:

It would be easier to actually see the site and what doctype is being used on it, as Firefox is tightly tied into W3C standards and if whatever is being used is not part of that doctype, expect it not to show it correctly. MyBB looks good! However I am still a deeply rooted fan for phpBB. And MyBB looks alot like http://www.simplemachines.org/ That one is also a young BBS.
