Microsoft's losing their browser dominance. Which isn't BAD. But if anything, they'll probably get some casual Firefox users or other less mainstream browser users back when they introduce IE7, which probably has the futures that they generally look for, which is ease of use (tabs), security, and integration. Firefox has 2 of those, IE currently has 1 (integration). If M$ is smart, they'd catch on, and try to model IE7 to the consumer's (us) needs... Plus it's IE7. Of course it'll be a complete overhaul.

Yeah, and guess who will win? Australia!

You can carry your whole cd collection in your pocket and listen to whatever you want with an iPod shuffle. Just that it's inconvenient, AND you might only be able to put 3-4 cds on, with very good compression (miserable sound quality). That's why a hard drived based player may be better. But just wait for flash to get cheaper and smaller. 2 gb SD cards are out already. Just wait.

I am Isaac james Owen. Im English. Im 20 and I live in Sunny Salford.I was born in Livepool on the 11th October 1984. Like everyone else I am the product of my mum, Julie Owen and my Dad Andrew Owen. :angry:I Lived in liverpool for 2 years and then moved to Mynydd Llandigai in North Wales back in 1986. It was here that I was brought up. And very well too I mite add. With more than concrete to keep me amused I used to be the most active kid imaginable. Some of my childhood hobbies involved killing nettles with sticks, making tree houses and dens. Exploring in woods and farm barns that were out of bounds , climbing trees and cliff jumping! It was this unique place that kept me busy at all times. I didnt know what a playstation was or when killerbots3 was on TV. I simply didnt care. I had nettles to kill.Ofcourse my frinds were all the same and so we did these things together, friends I still have today and will have forever.I speak Welsh and am proud of it although I dont speak it much here in Salford but its still usefull when im home.I attended Friars School in 1997. In firars I kept my old frieds but made new ones that showed me new things. things like Djing and Rollerblading.During my time at friars my parents split up and so I moved with my Mum and Sister, Amy to Bangor a small "city" on the Welsh Coast. We settled in and I thought that the transition from farmyards and sheep to the city life was perfectly timed. I was 18 and wanted to go out n not have to worrie about a taxi home - I could walk! The skate spots were better too!I gained 3 Alevels in Physics, Drama and Geography Friars and had a whole load of fun along the way! During the summer after my A-levels I did some Bar work for Bangor uni - That was an experience. I decided not to take a year out and so I applyed to Salford University.I am now in my second year of Audio and video broadcast technology, and so here I am writing this sitting in my room listening to Wu tang and chatin on my phone. And that my friend is the story so far. (in a nutshell) Peace. DR forever.Isaac

Guess you weren't there for the BSoD era. I don't remember much other than trying to throw the computer out the window. Personally, I much preferred the stability of MS Office 2000 (not that it was that stable...) but 2003 is much more integrated. Meaning there's more crashes between switching through excel graphs and word documents. Meh. Keeping with the times.

Mu's pay to play? It's so buggy and hackable, though.. My friend ran around killing yetis and all those high level creatures in the middle of the ice place naked. Pretty amazing. Some type of speed hack. Have they updated much..? If it's p2p already, it can't possibly be very good. Had bugs (display bugs) on my computer, and all that fun stuff. Well. Good luck finding a private server. I can't seem to understand why anyone would make a private server for such a game, but I guess ragnarok wasn't such a great game after all, but it was hecka addicting.. :|

yeah..me too...I prefer IPB..

Yup, I think NOD32 too. Really fast, and found things norton didn't. But really concentrated on AV, so don't expect much more than speed and accuracy. Also has a very good heuristics, so even if the virus isn't actually known yet, it stops it in its track quite well. NOD32 also seems to catch some browser hijacking malware and stuff, and allows you to terminate the download. Quite nice, overall. Throw it together with ad-aware, even personal edition, and you're pretty much set.

Has anyone noticed a huge increase in forum cash in the past... Well, I don't know. I haven't been on for a few hours. I can't find mention of this in any announcements/stickies, or I'm not looking hard enough? What the heck?

Well, I've heard of wifi range extenders, which I think are based on just re-transmitting signals. Examples: Netgear 54 Mbps Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender Kit http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WGXB102.php DWL-800AP+ Wireless Range Extender http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Google is your friend. Edit: ...Why did I suddenly get ~600+ dollars?

I was there in 1996-2001. A beautifull island for holiday, but not for work I think
