How Did You Choose Your Gaming Mouse Sensitivity How did you choose yours?
iGuest replied to Solus's topic in Computer Gaming
It's odd, me and my friend have the same mouse and all, and on counter strike we put it the same sensitivity. Mine is very slower, yet his is very faster. I think it has to do with the mouse settings of the computer itself or something, I have no idea really. I took my time trying out the sensitivity , starting with 2, then I would end pretty low. Like my .05 is the same as my friend's 5. So yeah, very odd in some cases. -
Problem Accessing A Database In My Local System
iGuest replied to soleimanian's topic in Programming
Lets start from the start, how did you create the username and password for your database? Any particular program or did you use the MySQL command prompt. What version of PHP and MySQL are you using, there were changes in MySQL databases that made passwords incompatible with older versions, if you were using a newer database with an old database you had to perform the upgrade.Unfortunately I just got a call and have to leave now, so I can't explain the process I would take, but I would start right back at the start, using the MySQL command prompt, or you could use phpMyAdmin, but you must look over the configuration file and make sure which method of MySQL it's using, mysql or mysqli, if using mysqli then you'd have to use the mysqli_connect method (only supported in PHP5).Cheers,MC -
Looking For A Good C++ Compiler Im hoping to get a URL to get C++
iGuest replied to bitemytail's topic in Programming
I've tried Dev-C++ from bloodshed.net and it's excellent for beginners and of course advanced users. It's package repository has a good collection of libraries you maybe interested in using, although some of these packages maybe out of date. This would be what I would choose if I were starting out.Cheers,MC -
Ie Whitespace Bug Oh, no... I cant defeat it
iGuest replied to szupie's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey szupie,This bug exists in Firefox under some different elements too, which I filed a bug report for it about a month ago as well as a solution. I know under W3C whitespacing is suppose to be excluded unless you specified the style white-space: pre; and that whitespaces be converted to spacing that HTML understands. For readability I use to do the same as you would do, but now I write some elements inline just so I do not have that problem. It's not a major loss to readibility though, it's still quite clean.I don't know if IE7 has made any improvements on this (but they are far behind, web technology wise), but Firefox are fixing the elements I pointed out which will be definitely in an upcoming release. If I was you, I would just go with losing that minor readibility for consistency sake, as if most browsers are falling under this then it's best to have it working on the majority of them, than trying to get all these browsers fixing those problems.Cheers,MC -
I'm an old schooler who loves the 2D genre. I love how the 2D fighting games have gone now. I've been constantly playing SNK VS Capcom 2 these past few years. The game is so amazing I can't let it go. I play that and other types of Street Fighter games, and some other's that resemble it. I'm amazed that even though there has been few development in these games, it can still catch my attention for ages to come. Even though I'm not all that good at arcades, I've finally got the money to buy my own arcade controllers and trying my best to play these fighting games with them. I know the 2D genre of fighting is dying, but that doesn't mean we should forget about them! I want more people to enjoy these games as they are, it's just more fun when its 2D in my opinion.

I don't knowTo be honestI was never really in love with any of Blizzard's gamesSure, they've made some great games beforeBut I've never really gotten too into any of themBut then again I rarely pay attention to who makes the games I play so I could very well actively play a game that I don't even know they had a part in

Openoffice Vs. Microsoft Office Which is better?
iGuest replied to rhodesian.dragon's topic in Software
I'm more better off with Microsoft Office. It seems much more for me than that. I'd like to contrast the two a lot more though, but they are very alike still. They both are wonderful and have their basics working, and that's good enough for me. The only problem I have is that sometimes it takes awhile to load up the first time after booting up the computer. But after that it's very clean and easy to use, much better than Microsoft words and stuff of course. So in the end I'm with Microsoft Office, but Open Office is not too far behind in my opinion. -
Poll: Stem Cell Research Your opinions, please?
iGuest replied to shaldengeki1405241473's topic in Science and Technology
I'm for it. I find it much more better than doing something like abortion and sorts. This is actually for a cause. I'm happy that the superman guy (sorr forgot his name, AGAIN >_<) had put lots of money into the research and developement of the stim cell research. I'm sure sooner or later, much more people will benefit from it, and in good ways, not like that one episode of South Park haha XD Anyways, my thoughts are that with more updates, we will be seeing a lot of development like that Korean miss you were talking about -

It all depends what I'm doingFor most internet activity and such, I'd like a desktop. But for writing or anything, I nearly need a laptop.I love the portability of a laptop, and laptop keyboards are about the best thing ever... long as you don't spill something on them.I don't know... If I could get a good enough laptop (Never gonna happen) I'd like it better than my desktop since I could use it from bed...I do sometimes find Desktops generally better though...I don't think I'm actually gonna vote though XDI can't decide at all

See Through Clothing! Omg Finally
iGuest replied to darkranger's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Obviously, it can't be perfect yetI mean... If it worked on humans they would have tested it on humans in the examples, not on a mannequin. Either way... With some intense tweaking of the product and subtle changed... It -could- be possible to have it able to see through clothing on humans... Maybe even light or dense stuff XD Either way It's a great concept and... I'll be sure to pick one up if possible to get it... before it gets banned for all the misuse by burglars and perverts...
