  1. Great win on Saturday. Battered them from pillar to post all game. So nice to see us destroy a team for the full 90 instead of relaxing after we go a few up. Yet again it seemed inpossible not to make chance after chance.Carrick with his best game of the season. I was worried by his start with a stray pass or two and losing the ball for the Duff chance but when he settled he did really well.Tevez moves onto 12 for the season, a top player putting in top performances. You just cant help but love that work rate. Rooney was a little selfish for me but yet again on another day he has a hat-trick or two himself. Ronnie is Ronnie, fantastic to see him finally get the hat-trick, one of many i hope. Moves onto 72 for the club and passes the 50 league goal milestone. Good to see Simpson come on and get a boost in confidence, could have had two goals. Overall it was a very good team performance and some fantastic goals. The ball from Wayne for Rios sublime finish and the crisp one touch passing to set up Ronnie to take the third so fantastically well. 6 goals, a clean sheet, we mullered the geordies, Arsenal and Liverpool drew and we are top of the league. A perfect days football.
  2. Yip I was hoping it was this too but it doesn't seem to be. I've got it set as below Domain Mail Exchanger (MX) scottishdreamteam.trap17.com Priority Entry 0 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM When I change it I get this message The MX entry for scottishdreamteam.trap17.com has been changed to: And then nothing, that is a bit concerning. So it's still not working at the moment and I can't think of anything else to do.
  3. Thanks very much. Now does anyone know how to fix my email issue!?Having one of those days

  5. Fergie, give us a song, fergie, fergie give us a song. Can you hear the fergie sing? I can't hear a ****ing thing....Followed by a 15 minute 'Ferguson's red and white army'Great atmosphere, but sometimes strange because of the way we were split between the two stands, so both lots sometimes ended up singing different things. And there seemed to be a wish to make a point to Ferguson whilst still making sure he know's we're behind him...Does anyone know what was on the flag that went around prior to the game?Christ knows what was going on the police but there were everywhere before the game and in full on robocop mode...looked like they were taking their nick anything that moves tactic to new levels as well.Even so, there were some of our lot at the bottom of the Doug Ellis being a bit stupid.Weird performance, very hit and miss - noticed that as soon as I sent the text praising Park's start to the game he went sh*t. Typical. Giggs was awful for most of the game but played big parts in both goals. Ronaldo started off really poorly and Anderson had a strange game.Anyways, I really really thought we'd get beat, just based on the fact it was 'our turn' but in the end it all seemed a little inevitable really.
  6. Nod a good performance at all, missing so many chances. You just felt B'ham somehow might have got an equaliser but in the end luckily they did't.MOM: Anderson by far. worked very hard to regain lost balls. Vision and passing are just awesome.Runner-up : TevezWell hopefully Berbs will play his last game for Spurs tonight with Saha going the other way. Another sub-par performance from him.Fergie is having a go at the fans for not making an atmosphere.
  7. My friend lives with a girl who has a pet python and freakishly it sleeps curled up by the bottom of her bed apparently, that alone is enough to scare the living crap out of me, pythons, crocs and komodo dragons seem to be about the most scary things in the world as far as i'm concerned. Now, the thing doesn't eat for two weeks so the girl is a bit worried and takes it to the vet, the vet says it's a bit strange because it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with it so he says bring it back if it still isnt eating in another 2 weeks or something.2 weeks go by and still the same so she takes it back and the vet says still looks perfectly normal, asks her if its doing anything else unusual and she says that instead of curling up at night it seems to be stretching itself out sometimes. The vet then straight away says that it will have to be put down, as it seems possible that it's preparing itself to eat her Red FaceWhen i heard this it gave me shivers, i've always found it weird how people keep pets like that, seems cruel and not in the slightest bit sensible, it's the things nature to want to eat nice big warm living things isn't it?The bit that seems unbelievable to me is it sleeping by her bed, surely if you did have one you'd have to at least keep it in some kind of cage?? I wouldn't believe it if i heard it most places but she's certainly not the type to make something like that up, possible somethings been lost/exagerrated somewhere along the way i guess though, anyone know anything about snakes and whether this is likely to have actually happened as told?
  8. Another hard earned 3 points. Good to see that we can dig them out when required. Here's what I reckoned for the day.disjointed team performance for the most part although i thought there were only a couple of individuals who were really below par - just didn't quite click for us. Everton played their part in that of course, and even in disjointed-mode we created a fair bit and certainly were the better side. looked like we'd pretty much run out of ideas before we got that penalty though - can't believe Pienaar's stuck his leg out like that with Giggsy going away from goal and extremely unlikely to pose an immediate threat with a shot/cross on his weaker foot. will gleefully accept that present though.Kuszczak - kicking couldn't have been worse if he was wearing flippers. didn't think he had much chance with the goal though.Simpson - had a shocker unfortunately. big test for him now to come back from getting hauled off at HT in his biggest game to date.Brown/Vidic - generally very good, dealt with the threat of Yakubu/Johnson well for the most part. need to see their goal again to see whether either/both were at fault though, initial thoughts are Wes has been dragged out to the wing to help Simpson against a winger and full-back (which should really be down to either Ronaldo or one of our central midfielders) and that leaves us a bit exposed in the middle with the two strikers plus Cahill, who no-one seemed to track at all.Evra - didn't get into the game as much as you'd hope attack-wise, did well defensively though, albeit against no real direct opponent.Ronaldo - awesome first goal, great penner (jinxing him here ofc but i'm as confident when he's taking them as i was with Eric or Ruud), really worked his *bottom* off defensively, was a constant threat down the right and put in some great crosses. just seemed completely in the mood today, what a f**king player.Anderson - faded second-half (not helped by the Saha-Carrick substitution) but had a really bright first half. really needs to cut the card-waving out though - hopefully getting carded for it will help.Carrick - seen lots of criticism of him, didn't think he was too bad myself. played a couple of fantastic passes and didn't give it away too much. played second fiddle to Anderson for the most part though.Giggs - his complete refusal to make any effort to win headers or 50-50's absolutely does my head in but he had his moments going forward and won the penalty ofc (ta Pienaar).Rooney - unlucky with the one off the line and a few other near misses. worked as hard as usual, just didn't quite come off. could do with a goal to kickstart another of his streaks.Tevez - final ball maybe let him down a bit but as full of running as ever and took up some great positions.Saha did really well off the bench i thought, yet another reminder that if he could ever stay fit and sharp he's a great asset to have. Fletch clearly changed the game Coolreally good atmosphere second half i thought, bit like Blackburn at home last season (not quite as good but not far off). most enjoyable home game of the season i think, for that reason. great way to start off this run of games over christmas. hopefully Everton will be smarting and feed off the frustration of chucking away a point when they come to play Arsenal.
  9. So I broke up with my girlfriend 2 & a half months ago after a 9 month relationship where we went through a lot. I cut it off a bit early because I just couldn't see us getting through these tough few months. Few days later and she's going out with another guy. Only in the past fortnight or so I've started to feel properly over her.Now going back 2 years a girl started at my work and one day we got talking, I was flirting a bit and tried to ask her out. But she told me to keep it quiet but she's started seeing another guy in work. I was a bit dissapointed but didn't think too much of it. Over the past 2 years we've become good friends, I'd class her in my top 10 I'd say. I also became friendly with her boyfriend in this time as we had a fair bit in common. A few months ago they broke up and it was a long dragged out affair which was a bit uncomfy for all of us as friends. On one drunken night out she gave me a lovely kiss while I was still with gf. It was great but we agreed to forget about it for various reasons. Saturday night just past we were going out. Me, her , her friend & her ex. She was looking stunning. Gorgeous & sexy. Her ex left and we ended up kissing quite a lot and fooling around. She was going to be coming back to mine at the end of the night but then in a club met this guy she has been seeing for the past few weeks and he whisked her away. Now I was a bit downhearted but so drunk and stuff it didn't really surprise me. The next day she came round to collect her stuff and we were friends again. But Monday/Tuesday we got talking really openly and she said she was keen to relive saturday night as much as pos until she goes away to Australia in 4 weeks. I didn't quite believe her at first but when I let myself start getting excited. We were being very flirty and stuff but then last night I got a text saying we should just be friends as she doesn't want to hurt anybody and feels that if we got together she'd get emotionally attached and it would all be complicated. I wasn't best pleased about this and replied saying as much and that we should go for it.After a good few drinks and a sleep I sent her a text this morning saying it's cool, don't worry we're fine. She's apologiesd a lot for being such a *BLEEP* and while writing this that's certainly how she comes across. I think she's just got a lot on her mind but I now can't get her out of my mind. She was always a friend but now I can't stop thinking about her. I've got a date tonight with a girl I like but I'm not thinking about her at all. Just about my friend wearing her sexy dress and kissing me.Ah well. Thought I'd share :Plots of love, stevethedog
  10. This was me a few weeks ago a week after breaking up with my girlfriend.Right so broke up with the ex last Tuesday. I've been missing her quite a bit since then and told her so in a bebo private mail the other day.Not a wee should get back together style just a It's weird without you style. She replied but not exactly begging me over for a pump.Today she has changed her status to seeing someone & has left a comment saying that the last few days have been like the best ever and that's because I've spent them with you.Feel like someone's ripped my heart out kung fu style and then through it over a building where it's caught ice and then landed on a bed of nails and shattered into thousands of pieces. Or something to that effect, I feel a bit **** really. That coupled with one of the worst weeks ever makes me one pretty unenthusiastic stevethedog.------It's taken a fair bit of time and a lot of stuff to pass but I feel like I'm over her. It's just when I see her pics with the new man and stuff it gets to me. Breaking up is not an easy thing to do and It's well worth thinking long and hard before you do so, then think some more.
  11. A rare Monday night game for us, feels very strange. Rooney returns after being out for the last few weeks. Team to look like this pleaseVDSBrownRioVidaEvraRonaldoHargreavesAndersonNaniTevezRooneyPrediction - 2-0 us with Tevez and Ronaldo the scorers.Fulham will probably line up asNiemiKoncheskyStefanovicHughesBa(ir)dBouazzaMurphyDavisDaviesDempseyKamaraSanchez not one to change anything ever. Expect Healy and Kuqi to come off the bench after about an hour. SO predictable.MON
  12. Apologies if there is a standard thread for this that I am missing, had a wee look and couldn't spot one.I’ve got broadband only through Virgin Media. It was working fine via the RJ45 at my old flat (USB wouldn’t work for some reason).I moved house and they cut off the connection to my old box and told me that they would send a new box of broadband goodies. This arrived on Friday so I hooked it up, called Virgin and activated it. This went fine as the cable light on the box went solid green. Once connected to the pc the pc light on the box was flashing green. The PC knew that it was connected to the box and was receiving a signal however it could not send anything and I’m unable to get online.I tried using the new RJ45 that they provided but I still had the same problem. I called virgin back who after much fannying about put me through to their tech team who were no help. I told him that when I connected it up to my old box which no longer had a signal (and they said they could not reactivate) the pc light was solid green but tech said it is supposed to flash which I doubt. They ended up blaming my drivers although my pc says that they are still on there and fine. Tech were going to give me another number for a more expensive tech line or advised me to call another computer support line.Any suggestions?Cheers
  13. For people to join my website (just friends at the mo) it is $10. I'd like to be able to create a paypal link on my page so that they have the option to pay via that? Thanks, std
  14. Man Utd currently have what I reckon is the best squad in the Premiership. Arsenal have been phenomonal so far this season and nobody can deny that so I don't think there is any shame in being 2nd behind them. I'm sure the Bolton game was just a one off blip and the team will pull it back together for the next game.Right now looking forward in Europe/.so teams for the next round of the Champs LgePorto/Marseille/BesiktasRosenborg/SchalkeMadrid/Olympiakos/Bremen/LazioMilan/Celtic/ShakhtarRangers/LyonFenerbache/PSVSeville possibly but unlikely.Milan, Madrid, Seville should win their groups, and not that there's anyone we should be scared of, but other than those 3 I'd happily take anyone from that list, Rosenborg first choice, Lyon last probably.
  15. I've snored for as long as I know but the past few years it's become a problem and it's starting to rear it's ugly head again.I'm 22 now and when I was younger I had a operation to unblock my nasal passageways or whatever it's called. It wasn't pleasant and it helped but only for a couple of months or so. Now I'm a lot better at breathing through my nose than when I was younger but I'm still about half and half when it comes to mouth breathing which isn't pretty.Anyway I'd always been concious of sleeping with girls because of this problem & the first few times I pulled I stayed awake in bed through fear! I couldn't carry on like this so tried breath easy straps which certainly make it easier to breath through my nose. The problem is I think my body is just used to breathing through my mouth at night now and this is how I snore ( and boy do I snore!). I tried getting a mouth guard thing which keeps my mouth shut and forces me to breath through my nose but this just made sleeping a really uncomfortable affair.I started seeing a girl who I found crying one night after waking up because she couldn't sleep. This was very upsetting and played a large part in us breaking up.My most recent girlfriend was a very heavy sleeper and did not notice it at all which was amazing! Unfortunately though we too have now split up which means I'm back to where I was. I had a couple of friends stay round the other night and we slept in the same bed. The 2 of them told me they had to move into my other room because of my snoring which really is embarrassing, they were both rather pretty too! How can I go on like this?
  16. I'm trying to eat healthy again and to get fit. It's certainly not easy especially at the beginning.Just so used to snacking and it's hard to give it up. I got in from work a moment ago and made myself some toast where instead I'd have had a pack of crisps. I just hope that's better.Having some steak for dinner so I'll grill it instead of frying it, that's the sort of thing I'm changing. Been having soup for lunch instead of something more fatty but thats now led to my salt content going up. It just seems very hard to lead a healthy balanced diet and not still be hungry at the end of each day!
  17. I've signed up for a nectar card as I'm moving right beside a Sainsburys. Whilst looking around their webby to see what I could get from it I noticed these digital photo frame bad boys. How does it work? I saw some where you just put in your memory card and I take it would flash up with all your photos that are on the card? There are some which say it can be connected via USB. Does that mean that the Frame itself has a memory as I couldn't find anything to say this on the products? What ones are recommended, they all look a tad on the pricey side but then there would be no point buying one if it didn't work.Thanking you, stevethedog
  18. Im alittle peeved off here's why, Not entirely sure where best to post a betting thread but it was here or the sports forum although betting doesn't just have to be sport and it's real life experiences so!I have been betting with numerous betting sites the last few weeks, no problems winning money, depositing cash, withdrawing my winnings etc... I went to deposit some more money into my Betfair account last night, but it wouldn't let me. I knew I had the money on my debit card, and instead came up with a message saying my bank refused it or something. So I try to deposit money into my Paddy Power account instead, same problem, so I phone up my bank, i'm on the phone to them for about 30 mins (about 20 mins just on hold). Eventually they explain how alot of fraudsters use betting sites, so they decided to blocked my card until they were sure it was me doing all these bets. That's all great and everything, but why the hell didnt they try and contact me the moment they blocked MY access to MY money? As they did not inform me of blocking the card, decided to wait for me to call them, and took so long on the phone I lost about ?150, because they could not reactivate my card until 19.45-50 meaning I missed out on the bet I was going to have and which subsequently won.Anyone had a similar betting/card problem? And do I have a case for a formal complaint or such like?
  19. That was a bit of a cracking game yesterday, shame we couldn't get the win.For me in the first half we posed very little attacking threat, and it was due to the way we were set up. Given that, while we had one or two chances on the break, i still think Arsenal looked the more likely to score, and we were lucky to be ahead given Gallas' chance not long before the goal , which if it's two yards either side goes in, and the deflection on rooney's miss hit for the goal.Once one goes in, the rest of the pattern of the game is far down to that opening goal than anything else, but if that luck goes against us its far harder for a team sent out with a more defensive mindset to start attacking. I also think that if we give them more to worry about, that's another way to make them less of a threat. Their full backs were able to fill in and influence the game far more than they should have been, because we're asking Ronaldo and Rooney to track back from what should be forward positions to deal with them. If we play 4-4-2, they have to worry more about our wingers and overlapping full backs, and maybe you force Eboue and Rosicky back more.it just seems to me that the tactics we play in these game seems to rely too much on someone doing something special, rather than forming a pattern to control the game. And we'r talking about a draw here almost like it's a win, because we've lost so many of these games where we've been set up like this, so it's almost like we feel we can't go away and beat the big teams.I'm a bit puzzled at people having a go at Ronnie. Like the rest of our attacking talents the system was never going to let them strut their stuff but you look at everything good we did in an attacking sense and he was a big part of most of it.Ronnie created the good chance for Giggs, got the assist for our first and scored the second. I just hope this isnt the start of people getting on his back again if he doesnt win every game by himself.Giggs while i dont think he was awful by any stretch i just dont see the point of playing him these days. People say hes in there to track back and yes he used to be immense at it, tracking back for miles and winning the ball with great sliding tackles but now he just doesnt bother with the tracking back or lets his man go if the guy decides to sprint. The first goal was Browns fault for me. he stands there with nobody near him and just watches Fabregas walk in unmarked and does nothing until hes slotting it away. God knows what planet he was on at the time.On the substitutions, good to see Saha back but i didnt agree with Anderson coming off for Carrick. If it was being changed to 4-4-2 then Giggs needed to come off. Anderson was doing really well for me.
  20. When I first moved into the flat I couldn't afford luxury items such as expensive shower gel. I decided to rough it and buy the Tesco own brand WAKE UP orange shower gel. And oh my goodness, it was the best thing ever. It smelled so juicy and sweet, yet also invigorating. A few months ago, they repackaged it. Fair enough, thought I. It still looks the same. And it was. Mmmm. Everywhere I went people were like wow, Chris smells so TANGY!Today while creeping about Tesco on my day off (as I do) and buying some bathroom supplies (as I ran out of conditioner and my new cleanser burns!) I went for some shower gel. And they've changed it.Properly this time. The packet used to have a hook so it would hang from the rail. Now it doesn't. It is packaged similarly to the Original Source shower gel. which is *BLEEP* cos the last thing i want to be doing in the shower is bending over to pick up my shower gel! I want it at hand height! Minimal faffing! As I looked closer at the package i noticed two small words. Well, one small and one medium. AND GINGER. Orange and Ginger. I ate some ginger tablet the other week and it was good, so I thought well it can't be that bad, can it?But it is. It smells generic and sick. This has really upset me.I'll be in my room if anyone needs me.stevethedog
  21. Right having played for a bit here's what I'm noticing. I haven't spotted a difference with scouting. The closing down thing obv. Too many fouls from crosses. Too many penalty claims. Seems there is plenty controversy in every game. Game seems a smidgen faster to me. Saving especially. Scout reports that suggest a guys character is "run of the mill" is just silly. I can't find a button that takes me to my squad page, is there one? I'd rather go to squad page than tactics for "pick team". As in FM07 we need something between "disappointing" & "well done" other than "none" for team talks. Couple of pic mistakes in the hibs youth. SPL teams outwith the OF should not be splashing out near a million let alone over it. I'm enjoying it though, honest. Who else is playing? Cheers, stevethedog.
  22. Georgia 2 Scotland 0. Bugger.Well that was a bit crap.Certainly missed Hutton/Brown particularly and with Maloney and Fletcher being very, very bad; we never really looked like getting a result. Defence looked unsure of each other, midfield didn't get into game and our forwards lacked service - not that they looked like doing much when they did eventually get the ball.Interesting to see the stick aimed at Ferguson. He's not had a good season for Rangers and didn't have a great game tonight. However, that said, I still thought he was one of our better player (Rangers minded or not!). He never hid, tried to get forward as much as he could and it wasn't until the last few minutes he really seemed to lose confidence in possession. For 15 mins either side of half-time he was one of the better players on the park.Nonetheless, he was our most experienced player (out with Weir perhaps) and I expect more from him. Criticism of him is often well deserved but it's easy to forget the influence he has had on this campaign in the haste to ask him to retire...!Every player looked out of sorts tonight (even Gordon seemed to be stuck to his line on a few occasions) and while we should be concerned at the lack of commitment, we still have a great chance of qualifying. It's easy to give OTT stick to the very players who have all contributed to some superb results. Instead, let's accept one bad performance in a long time and get behind the team. Some are too eager to believe the hype. Tonight we missed Hutton, Brown, Hartley, Fletcher (a fit one anyway) and even Naysmith. That's half a team and while we should have better tonight, some of the creme puffs tonight are almost as cringeworthy as the OTT praise thrown at what is still a developing side.
  23. We beat Ukraine 3-1. Can we actually go all the way? If we were to beat Georgia on wednesday then we just need a point of Italy to be guarenteed qualification. A year ago this would have sounded mental but there is huge belief there that we can do it now. And why not we are jumping clear over every hurdle that comes near us.As for saturdays game Brilliant.I've got to say my MotM was Barry Ferguson. It wasn't long ago I was heavily criticising him but this campaign he's been immense. I think it's a pride thing. He looked like he was about to lose it during the national anthem and then he did lose it for a minute on the pitch when Dailly didn't talk to him. Brilliant, that's what you want to see.Someone said on hibs.net I wonder if Hartley, Brown and Caldwell will be fit for the Old Firm game with a wee rolleye. I had to put this out because I don't think there is any doubt just now the players are playing for Scotland with passion & pride. I've never seen it before and it feels so ****ing good.oh and on the penalty front at first watch the only ones I thought that were pens were Shev's & Faddys. Having watched them a few times the only one I think that was a pen now is Huttons. There were all tough calls.
  24. Thanks for that guys. Some very sound knowledge going on in this forum! I've decided to plump with some Sennheiser HD202s. Hopefully they shall more than do the job for me with my Creative Zen Xtra and that I don't have too much issues regarding space and looking like a complete and utter tube! Thanks again.stevethdog
  25. I've just knackered my current Creative earphones which have the wee soft (silicone?) bit. They were very good but I like to try something different. These bad boys sent me back about ?25 so I wouldn't want to pay more than that.Been considering getting the full headphones like the olden days, are these better now? What's the pros for going bomfunk mc freestyler way?Any advice appreciated :)cheers, stevethedog
