  1. Have we had Smoke yet?Why do people smoke? I have never figured out why, I know its addictive but are people blind? What good does it do, its very slowly killing you and also killing other around you and to top it all off, costing you an ever increasing amount of money at the same time.
  2. Hitting yourself in the face is pretty dumb but ok, whatever floats your boat. However, I do fully agree with you. We have pretty exhausted computers. We use them so much now days that we are just used to what they do and seeing the same old things which we all know leads to boredem.Thats not to say I don't enjoy using it, it can be interesting at times when new things arise and its a good way to keep in touch with old friends and friends that live other seas. Its always good to leave it though, get away from the screen and enjoy the fresh air, I went indoor karting last weekend with a group of friends and it was great fun, theres a massive difference between talking to friends on the internet and talking to friends in person.
  3. Studies are esstential I think, I'd say its a lot more important that earning a bit of money but the important think to remember is, if you didn't study then you probably wouldn't be able to get a decent job. I like to think of it this way: the more you study, the more money you can make :)Saying that, Im going to study in college in September and I just got a job, did my first day today but this is the holidays so I guess that sort of makes it ok. Though I made sure that my working hours would flex around my college hours, I put college before the job and luckily Halfords agreed
  4. Thanks for the offers guys, my mate mentioned 123-Reg to me so I may consider them, then again Xisto - Web Hosting would be strong competition. I will study them both further at a later date, probably after my pay day and after I have spoken to the other admins to see if we can get the traffic to make it worthwhile but I don't think it will be too much of a problem. If I get stuck I will make sure to PM a few of you Hopefully it shouldn't be that much of a problem.
  5. Ok guys so im thinking about purchasing a domain, Im know that Xisto does support the use of our own domains but I have never set one up before.I was wonder if anyone knew where to get the cheapest and most reliable domains from? and if I were to purchase one could somebody possibly help set it up or something because I had a look through the cpanel but I couldn't really figure out what to do. Thanks.
  6. I use them sometimes, but not going too overboard. I think if you use them too often in the same post, especially on a forum like this it can just look silly and childish when you are trying to be mature. Though when you use them in the right place they work just like they should, to display emotions. Like if you were trying to have a joke with another member and you didn't use a smiley then they might not see it as a joke then you end in a flame war but using the correct smiley means they will have a better chance of understanding that you were only joking and don't hate them really :)So yeh, use them in the right place and they are effective and pretty useful at times.
  7. Yeah, ICT for me at school was probably one of my favourite subjects aswell, mainly because I chose the dual award one which we had everyday and was pretty much a lesson to relax and socialize :)Surely you have mates at school? Your friends you will find are one of the things that keep you at school, its a great place to boost your social life even though you might not think it. Strangely enough, I also got on well with many of my teachers, mainly because they were younger and understood me and my friends humor better :)Just remember though, without school you will probably get no where in live, try your best to like school otherwise your future will be pretty dim.
  8. Im not really religious even though I am a christian, I don't really believe in god either although sometimes, in certain religious events I have attended I have somewhat felt that god was present.I guess then that you could call Death a religious event or experience if you like and so a god would be present at this time for me, thus deciding what happens to your life after it has ended on earth. I would like to think there is a heaven in school when you were asked to describe what you thought heaven looked like it always turned out a neat place to go .Maybe if you have been good in like and caring for others then maybe god could taylor your own heaven, seems pretty neat in my mind.
  9. When it comes down to MP3 Players for me, its always sound quality over eye-candy and features. Seen as most of the time my MP3 player is just shoved playing in my pocket, what goods a colour screen and the rest of the features that arent been used?So really the part of the MP3 player I really need is the sound it produces, its hard to get spectacular sound quality from an MP3 player but some come close, Creative is the best at producing decent sound quality for me. I own a Creative Zen Micro and there are two other iPods in the house which fail to beat my Creative MP3 player
  10. I know how you feel, there were parts of high school that were ok sometimes but towards the end it did kind of get boring, really the only thing that kept me going right until the end was actually mainly my teachers and my mates of course.Today, I did my last GCSE exam so you could say I have officially left school I already have a place in a college which starts in september, its right in the heart of the city centre almost so it should be a buzz. Already college is showing signs of been a lot more interesting than high school.Let me know how you get on with college in the future.Chris.
  11. I've had this arguement too many times at another forum, myself - I disagree with posting in old topics.I really don't get or see the point in why people have to post in a dead topic. I've seen people bring up topics that are 2 years old and the funny part is that some people completely miss the date of the thread and just reply to it like it has only just been started. But why would you bring up a topic that is 2 years old, yes, it may have been useful then but you can almost guarantee that the information inside that topic would be pretty much useless. Is it fun to go grave digging or something?Chris.
  12. I don't exactly know why but whenever it comes to creating a forum I would always choose Invision Power Board, they just seems to have a lot of useful and easy to set up and use features that users would expect to see, especially with V2.I haver never really been a fan of PhpBB, although they are free I have had too many problems with it for it to be a decent enough forum system, I was once trying to set one up with a friend and it just kept logging me out whenever I changed page. For the best free forum system though, it has to be SMF packed full of features and modifications, they also feel different to other forums out there.Chris.
  13. Like many others here mine was also the NES, well not mine exactly because it was bought for me and my brother to share. We had hours of fun playing that duck shooting and clay pigeon shooting game with the orange gun. We eventually ended up cheating at that game by putting the gun right up to the screen and just hovering over targets.
  14. I think people should be allowed to eat what they want and not be told what they can and can't eat. "Fatty" foods should be ok to eat aslong as they arent eaten exessively, im no expert but I think its more to do with how we exercise rather than what we eat. Obviously everything we eat should be fatty because we know that wont help but we shouldnt have to banish them completely like people are told to do on diets. If people exercised more often and exercised to some sort of a program then I believe it is a better way to keep in shape, I walk atleast an hour a day just out and about and dont eat that healthily but manage to keep my body in decent shape just from the exercise.Chris.
  15. Congratulations, I could never see my self smoking, I dont have the money to start smoking :lol:To be honest I cant see why so many people do smoke, I know its an addiction but really all its is doing for you is slowly killing you but quickly taking money out of your wallet.Last week I was on holiday in Turkey (hence the quad biking avatar of me) and I was talking to a waiter in a restaurant and he was having a smoke, I didnt mind but I thought to ask him how much he pays for a pack of 20 and he told me its something like ?1.50 over there, I was stunned to here that as we pay something like ?5 or something stupid like that in the UK.How do people over here even afford to keep smoking at the rate they do?Chris.
