  1. The only reason IE is still around is because M$ packs the browser with all OS Releases, forcing it down our throats. They even force some of their website to only be viewed or activated with IE browser (MSN Gaming doesn't work with Firefox.). Its sad to see such a capable company abuse their resources and create this browser. They have more than enough experience with programing to come up with great softwares. The heart of the problem lies in their public relations. They still see internet users as these simplistic, simple minded people who just surf aimlessly. They really need to take 3-4 years of hardcore research on what the people want, not what they want for us. The only upside of IE is the lighting fast load up times when you start up the browser(only because IE is integrated into explorer).
  2. Hmmm, this is very odd. Microsoft would be crazy to stop your CD Key without definite proof. As said before, if they fail to comply with your request, take them to court. Microsoft is a big company but they are not above the law. If are within the guide lines of the EULA and they still fail to activate your PC, then take legal action immediately.
  3. I also have this problem. But mine is more unusual. I had my site submitted to Google a few months ago. But I also submitted a site map and configured my site to be search engine friendly. But even after that it took months to finally add it to the index. The best thing to do is just wait and keep spreading word out in the net. If you know a site or a webmaster who owns a site similar to yours, exchange links. Like chaos Pointed out, I already signed up to Webmaster tools, but I find it a big waste of time since its useless if there is no indexed updated files from your website. It does not provide good statistics without constant crawls on your site.
  4. I would like the ability to fly. Ever since I was little, airplanes fascinated me. I always hoped I would one day skydive and experience temporary flight. But the idea of permanent ability to fly gives me goose bumps .
  5. Both the current and the new one is PCI...my motherboard has only two AGP slots...
  6. I have a an old Motherboard it doesn't have an on board video.the video card works, I made sure it did. It is compatible because it worked before and when I tried it again nothing came up.
  7. When people hear about nanotechnology or nanorobotics, they think of futuristic movies and concepts like the new NBC show "Bionic Woman". But how far off are we to achieving true nanotechnology? Such advances could be put to use in hospitals, where tiny bots could go into hard to reach organs and preform non invasive microsurgery. The military could use small army of surveillance bots to track and spy on high profile suspects. Scientist now are able to sculpt tiny circuit boards in a molecular level. The ideas are endless.
  8. I installed a new PCI Video Card for my PC and when I started to boot up the computer nothing came up. Not even the BIOS system checks.I figured the video card I put was broken so I tried another card, it worked. For some reason it won't boot up. Is there a solution to this problem?
  9. csp, I am actually squeamish when it comes to stuff like that, I always have worst case scenarios of what could go wrong with and IV like bag connected to your blood stream. When I get shot I usually feel this cool fluid rushing into my muscles, that really scares me, don't know why though.
  10. 8.5/10 Review I am memorized by your enigmatic banner, and I do have to commend you on the brushing technique. The dark theme of the banner adds a little mysterious side to any image you would embed in it. Nice job. Advice I would raise the contrast and the brightness just a little bit to get the details out. I also recommend you to add a soft touch to it by copying the image layer and setting the new layer to overlay and adding a 7.5px gaussian blur to it. NOTE:PLEASE RATE THE BIG BANNER NOT THE USERBARS THANK YOU
  11. I don't think Google would become a software giant . In fact, I don't think google even WANTS to become a tech mammoth like MS. Google, unlike Microsoft is careful about public image. Google is designed to the younger "YouTube" generation like myself(Mac ads says it all). As long as they make appealing products they would continue to grow in their own little arena. As for becoming like Microsoft, that would take a long time and effort from google. There is no way Google could become similar to MS as MS already dominates the OS and Software industry. Not to mention Google has to compete with rival companies like Yahoo.
  12. Hmmm...I can't seem to find any CHMOD tools on the program. Maybe you're thinking of another program.
  13. I guess I would project it toward ages 6-12 years old. but the guardian dictates who calls the child so no matter how tech savvy kids are, they aren't smart enough to bypass the precautionary safety features.
  14. Really? Huh, what do you know, you're right. Never thought to check there, thanks!
  15. I was just setting up my site when I came across some problem. Some of the main files are unwritable so I need to change the server permissions. The problem is I don't know any tool that can do that. All the new FTP tools such as FileZilla don't support Windows 98se anymore and the old one that does doesn't work on my OS.Is there any type of FTP tool that incorporates the CHMOD tool?
  16. There was a small phone ad I saw a while ago. I think it was called "Jitter Bug" or something. It had big clear buttons some for preprogrammed phone numbers, one for operator and one for 911. It is meant for the elderly but it could be applied to children. Since you choose what numbers to program, the kids can only call the selected numbers. Here is the image The other one, Disney Phone service is a lot better. They offer more control over who your child calls and how long they talk. You can add quota limits to their talking time and block outgoing and incoming calls.
  17. Harrier huh, I never thought I would find another aviation fan.

  18. I had a lot of hard games in my past, maybe its becasue I didn't play good enough. Anyway, here is my top 5 hardest games I ever played:1)FFX (Couldn't beat the game, stopped at the Al bhed Cannon Boss Battle2)Half Life (Finished the game but with tons of cheats involved)3)GTA III (This one was not hard, it was just that the targeting and camera system was so bad I kept locking on the wrong person and getting killed)4)Gran Turismo 3 (I've tried my best but all I could do is get all the way up to the IA Driver License, then I get stuck in the game, plus if you don't have a good car, one mistake could send you in the back of the pack. This is especially frustrating in the last stretch of a series or endurance race.5)Splinter Cell ( I was forced into using FAQ's because I couldn't avoid the gurards as I wouldn't where they were, took me 10 tries to finish the game)
  19. nucleus is a good blog plus it lets you create several other smaller blogs. Like wordpress, nucleus is very easy to learn and simple, great skins and very small and compact. I would recommend you to try the Nucleus before Wordpress, you'll be amazed.
  20. I hate you birudagmawi you're such a narcissistic jerk!

  21. Firefox is the way to go. Its very fast once its loaded up. Unlike IE it has a robust security and flexibility that allows users to customize their browser to their own specifications. There are HUNDREDS and maybe thousands of extensions that can transform the Firefox into completely different program.
  22. There is a "String Theory" that states that its is possible that there could be not one but INFINITE amount of multi verse systems.Of course this is still an extreme hypothesis but the idea is not taken off the scientific table yet. There has to be some type of Anti Universe because in order for the Big Bang Theory to be valid, there must have been Antimatter in the few milliseconds the universe was created. If there was anti matter at one time in this dimension then it must be there are other kinds of anti matter the ferociously react with matter. Well the way I learned it is that as you near the event horizon, for you time would be going at a normal pace, but to an observer at a safe distance the time it takes you to reach the horizon would be infinitely long. So if somehow managed to come out of the brink of singularity and return to earth, what would have seemed a 3 minute ride to you would last 100+ years for earth's spectators, in theory.
  23. That is the only remedy that worked so far in my life. Every time I get hiccups my mother scares the sense out of me, I am so scared that usually I would forget I even had any hiccups!
  24. Apples move is really just a small safeguard against any idiot who would attempt file some type of lawsuit. Like FolkRockFan, I also think that getting the iPhone the first day was very bad investment. Besides the price drops, the people who first bought the iPhone have to face with defects that accompanies many new electronics(PS3,Xbox had problems in the first units sold). The best thing to do is just wait until the iPhone is 6 months to a year old, when the 2nd Generation of Stable iPhones come out, then that would be the time to buy.
