PHP is a scripting language, like html. If you have programmed with mIRC, javascript, C or C++, etc., you should be able to learn it easily. PHP is much more advanced than html, and can interact with databases, so you can make stuff like member databases like this site. Go on google to find some php tutorials.
  4. Did anyone notice the new layout of gmail? Just a small change, with the invite button on the left.

Do you know PHP? It's a great programming language, and I assume you know it since you didn't mention scripting in your post. SQL stands for Standard Query Language (I think ), it's used to manipulate things in a database. There are many kinds of databases that use this standard language, like mySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc. That's all I know about SQL, and I think that's all I need to know. Oh, read this topic here.
  6. I know how to do it, it's mainly using the php include function, or anything similar. I have tried to make a page of my own to do that, but I couldn't get the images working right. I have found a website called sneak2, and it's working pretty good, some bugs here and there, and a little down time. I can't use a computer this semester though, so I wouldn't need it anymore.
  7. Yeah, those 2 codes and the Polmme did were all very nice. I wish that PHP would make its own function for generating that, though.
  8. I was trying to figure out how to make random texts for random passwords and stuff, and I found someone who created this code. I think it's pretty good. If anyone has a better one or suggestions, please tell me.
  9. Wow, that looks pretty nice. Might even be able to match "expensive" ones.
  10. I have registered but haven't gotten an account yet. Also, I can't view other .tk sites here... Maybe this area blocked access to .tk...
  11. Mine is Little Fighter 2 for Windows.
  12. I uploaded the CGI:IRC files into my cgi-bin, but CGI:IRC wouldn't work! The page loads, just normally, but wouldn't connect to the IRC server! Anyone had similar problems?
  13. I think the best way to import pics into flash would be to paste it there, then go to Modify > Bitmap > Trace Bitmap. A thing should pop up. If you want it to look realistic (the same), change the values to 10, 1, Pixels and Many Corners. That should make it so that the picture still look the same quality even if you zoom in.
  14. OK, first of all don't double post. More importantly, don't triple post. Even more important, don't quadriple post. The most important: don't <word for 5 times> and hex-post. Edit your first post if no one replied, and only if someone replied, you can post again.Anyway, .... Well, those jokes are great, and I can't come up with one...
  15. Oh... So all the sessions are on the server, and they recognize the users, instead of having the users recognize them...Thanks, now I get what sessions are!
  16. Are php sessions unique for each site? If my site gave a session named "abcd" to a user, but he/she already has a session called "abcd" on another site, is it going to replace the one on the other site, or are those two not recognized as the same on the user's computer?
  17. When I go to phpMyAdmin from my cPanel, it says: Why is it doing that? I gained access to it a few minutes before, and now it's not working... Oh, nevermind, it's working now...
  18. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is pretty nice. I don't think it has cloaking though.
  19. I think public_html is where you're supposed to put your files that can be viewed by others. And I'm not really sure, but I think the www folder is just a short-cut to public_html
  20. I think he meant "your" page and typed t instead of y.
  21. Mandrake Linux comes with both KDE and GNOME, they're just different styles of Linux appearance, and can be selected in the log in screen. I can't tell you which one is better, it's like whether green or purple is better.
  22. I install both KDE and GNOME, and I usually use GNOME programs while using KDE desktop. I don't like Konqueror and most other KDE programs.
  23. Hmm... It's still moving quite* slow for me...*When I say quite, I meant very.
  24. Oh... I rarely play music either, but just a single beep from mIRC slowed me down... Can Windows choose ASTA off too, like Linux? And I've never been told what the disadvantages are in disabling ASTA for Linux or Windows. Can someone tell me if there are any?BTW, when this page loads, firefox uses 37780 K memory, and when I'm browsing it normally, 37620 K.
