Hi, This isn't any hosting help request. Just wanted to know how the Xisto email works... It's hooked to my domain, right.. So my email logins should be "user" for an email that like: user@mydomain.com .. But instead my pop logins for downloading mails are "user+mydomain.com" and it's corresponding passwd. Why does the pop logins take this shape (not that it's a hindrance) - just curious. :PThanksP.S. the title of this post was supposed to be "Can anyone explain me the idea......." instead it became "Can anyone email me the idea..." .. lol.. just a typo + being grossly unmindful .. hehe[NilsC]OK, I edited your title for you... happy now [/NilsC]

Most Stable Windows Os
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to kc8yff's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Errrrr.... I dunno if you can really call Win 98 a full blown REAL Operating System. It was more of a Graphical Shell that still ran on the old MS-DOS in the background. There was hardly any OS part to the GUI, not to mention the oh-so-frequent "Illegal function calls" and crashes that were just a followup on the old windows "General Protection Fault" days. Man, I couldnt handle that anymore.. -
Lol.. yeah... that should do the trick to.. but if you want to saveup all your downloaded pages for future refeence - i.e. have them all combined together as one big file that acts as a searchable archive - then you gotta give this thing a try. Life was never so easy prior to my Local Website Archive days....See it for urself & it's freeware

Php Script To Download File From Another Site
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to soleimanian's topic in Programming
I dont think so.. you can create a directory for open uploads and set the permissions for just that directory such that any normal ftp user would get jailed to that directory. As for your ftp script, try http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ --> that will get you started. The first script I found on that page is given here: If you study the script a little carefully you'll see it's quite possible to modify it and have two sets of $ftp_username/$ftp_user_pass and $ftp_server variables - one for download and one for upload respectively. Then just use the ftp_get() function to fetch the file from one server and use ftp_put() to put it on your other server. You can use this whole thing as a function such that as soon as the file is uploaded to one of your servers, the upload function will call the other one and copy the file over to your other server. If you still don't get me - post again and I think I can write up a little modified script to suit your needs. All the best -
Expanding Middle need help again :(
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to Silent Soul X's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The center doesnt expand. It's the same length as the sidebars. You can leave a lot of empty space for the center column by making it span out all the rows that consist of the side tables by using the "rowspan=x" directive for the "<tr>" table row tag, where x is the number of rows you want this particular row to span downwards. You can use the same with columns using the "colspan=x" option for "<td>" tag. Hope this helps. -
Gbrowser And Gmessenger? Rumors of a Browser and IM...
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to CoolBradG's topic in Search Engines
While its a very inviting idea, do you think you need one MORE messenger and Browser ?? Don't you think we've enough good ones around ? I for one don't see the point in adding one more messenger and another new set of login/pass (i've a very bad memory and have to write it down somewhere for sure) to go along with !! Besides firefox just makes me plain and simple happy and it'll be quite hard to convince me to switch other What do you guys say ? -
Hi guys, I've using this really handy freeware that makes all other Offline Browsers go for a toss. Admitted, Offline Browsers are real good for storing content offline - but very soon your pages and directories become an uncontrollable mess if not organized properly from day 1. Besides they still reside as individual pages and folders creating a messy folder containing thousands of files.. here's an alternate to that: Local Website Archive --------------------------- I download thousands of tutorials from the net everyday and I'd always have problems organizing them properly. As mentioned above - I'd have a jumble of folders - and very soon lost track of all my pages. Now that I've been using the Local Website Archiver for quite a while - everything's so neatly categorized - and packed into just ONE Archive file which I can carry along anywhere. In short the huge knowledge base of websites that I've built up can be transported/read easily even off a flash drive. Capturing pages that you are viewing in your browser is as simple as pressing F9 (or any hotkey that you specify - and the page is immediately captured and added to your archive, in the user selected category). Integrates with FIREFOX too. Besides, you can even do a google like search on your stored content from the Archiver Software... The Lite Version is the freeware one. Go get it today at: http://www.aignes.com And let me know if you guys found it as convenient as me in return posts Regards

Most Stable Windows Os
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to kc8yff's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I'm doing so too - since the appz I develop are on .NET platform - and I chose Win2K over XP coz it normally is more stable than XP in a sense. But the moment you start installing a huge amount of sw (I need a wide array of products ranging from CVS, Profilers, Obfuscators, Debuggers ..etc) - sometimes multiple sw-s for the same thing - the system begins to deteriorate like anything. It can't stay up for more than 6-7 hours at a stretch with the amount of heavy compiling I do. I need t restart it once at least during that period - or else it just grinds down to a crawling speed. One more funny and often neglected point about the whole NT/Win2k/XP family of products is that they are ALL supposed to be POSIX compliant - which in effect means the should be able to run *NIX bianries conforming to the POSIX standard, straight out of the box. But has any of you ever tried to run Linux binaries on Win even with the CygWin libraries ?? Anyone with a good degree of success should let me know - coz I've failed over and over again. Regards.. -
Most likely your language files have gone missing or got corrupted somehow. Either try downloading the individual language files from their site OR uninstall EPlus and make sure the whole directory is removed. Then, if your EPlus comes pre-packaged with all the lang files, just reinstall it and hopefully al'll be fine. All the best

I was using Audiograbber for a long time & really liked it till I found Easy CD-DA Extractor - extremely fast encoding and supports loads of different encoding formats including VBR upto 320Kbps. Try it @ https://www.poikosoft.com/ This is what they've to say about their sw, and believe me - it lives right upto the last word....

Print Screen Utility For Xp Im looking for software
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to NilsC's topic in Software
You can try PrintKey Pro from http://www.warecentral.com/ . It's a NO-NAG Shareware with no EXPIRATION and has the Direct Printing feature. hasan --> you should give it a shot. Much simpler and quicker than your 5 step process, which frankly I got very tired of. This is just one click + plus it allows you to selectively capture any part of the screen. So NO NEED to go do some CCP (cut, copy, paste) in paint later on AND it saves your picture in any format you want, directly. Did I say Direct Printing --> I guess I did. It does that do Have fun. -

I'm not looking for WebSites that do the generation/validaiton online though. I have a long list of them. Any links to offline sw would be extremely helpful... Thanks Here's a list of sites that validate/generate your metatags online: http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.123webmaster.com/Online_Tools/Validation/Meta_Tags/ http://analysis.freeurl.com/ http://www.creatingonline.com/site_promotion/metatag_generator.htm http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Hope you find them useful.

Yups, it has.. right towards the bottom of the page - in the second last group titled "Preinstalled Scripts. The last icon in that group. Unfortunately it submits to only 6 engines, namely: AllTheWeb DirectHit Google HotBot Lycos MixCat Can always be used as a starter submission method. For reaching a much larger number or engines, try the links in the post above. I found the 3rd link extremely helpful - and absolutely ONE-CLICk

Hi, Those who are into serious pogramming and/or are involved in large programming projects should check out this site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - while this isn't one of those code repository sites with thousands of code snippets, this site deals with the various facets of programming and programming models, common design patterns, effecient project organization and execution and loads more... See for yourself. A must see site for all the hardcore programmers. Believe me, this would open up a completely new avenue to extreme programming All the best

intertain: One tiny advice. Next time you make apost like this, please try to make the topic more pertinent to the content of the post. It's extremely difficult for the viewers to figure out what your query is if you set your topic title to a simple "How to? As for the rest check out this post: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/81735-topic/?findpost=1064287343 Hope you'll find your answer there... cheers ----- Topic title edited by microscopic^earthling

Try the following sites: 1. http://www.addme.com/ 2. http://www.submitexpress.com/ 3. http://www.evrsoft.com/fastsubmit/ 4. http://www.ineedhits.com/free-tools/submit-free.aspx Just googlify "free search engine submission" ad you'll get loads of more such sites. Quite a few are the one click kind you are seeking - and for some you got to click on several buttons beside each search engine... The 3rd link, I found out just now is a truly ONE-CLICK submission site submitting to 106 engines at one. Have fun
