  1. In my opinion the black looks much better... dunno maybe because I like black and white. Anyways, the problem in the black is the text, too distinct ... and maybe choose other color for the text??make it blur a little... hmmm.. think that will do it. well.. other than the text, every thing is cool i think. Still, it's just my opinion though.
  2. Hmm.. Why am I posting here Ok.. If I remember correctly .. My first kiss was with my sister's friend.. She was like 5 years older than me , But anyways I'm not going into the details.. Cuzz that would turn my post into an erotic fantasy one.. ;)No..wait.. was that my second one!!! eh, I can't really remember
  3. Well, sorry to say.. But personally I don't think he is ACTUALLY the one who's writing those stuff.Lets say you got a big company, you need to make a news letters.... you go and write them??No. You just maybe give the idea what the news letter should be about, and there's millions of people who will do the writing for you.. Why would he bother?? Anyways.. It's just a personal opinion, but I think you should consider it... It's not like a personal e-mail you are getting from the dude.. It's just the same as any other article on the net... Bill gates is written at the end of the letter??HAHA xD well.... go figure..Bill Gates.
  4. The banner looks pretty cool.. But I agree about the animated GIF's comment.. I'm on dialup, it took like 5 minutes for me to get the GIF fully loaded... Other than that, it's very nice to place it on your website..
  5. My favorite color would be Black, I have no Idea why.. I just love it.White would come as the second color for me.. Well, with no white there won't be any black.. and vise versa.Any colors merged with black would be cool too.. meaning, Dark red, Dark blue.. and the others...Hmm.. would that make me a dark person or something ;)
  6. I have Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail..... My favorite would be Hotmail.Actually Hotmail loads much faster and it's much easier to navigate through than Yahoo, Yahoo pages takes forever to load.Well maybe because I'm on dialup... But still Hotmail loads the pages fast even when I'm on dialup. Gmail is cool.. But still it doesn't have the features such as Msn messenger mail alert... and such things. Well.. So far I liked Hotmail much more than the others available, but it's only my opinion though.
  7. I agree with matak... It's your site after all, and you are the one who's supposed to like it first. But the thing is you asked for opinions, and people were just saying theirs..Anyways..good work mate, but that overflow-scroll thing should be your first priority to remove from both the header and the footer. And about the font..I don't know.. but seriously there's many other fonts that would look much better than Courier. But if you think that it is what you want, just leave it as it is... It's not THAT bad.
  8. I second that, IE rapes CSS not only butcher it.. Here's a live proof I found earlier.. Clicky Scroll down and see the table of tests..
  9. biscuitrat: Lol, I'm sorry for those 13 credits you lost.. 1) Sure here's the Link but I haven't built anything in the page yet. 2) The images are only buttons, 3Kb each... 4-5 of them, that makes the total around 10-12 Kb. 3) You mean make all the three states of each button in one single image... But the problem is there's a fair amount of space to the nearest area to hide them... Or can that be done by using transparency in the single image file between each state?? jlhaslip: I like the idea, I think I will try it now to see.. rvalkass: I know how to do that in Javascript.. But I said in the first post that I don't want it to be done using javascript... But thanks for the suggestion and the links
  10. I used image swapping when hovering on a menu button with CSSEvery thing worked fine, except:If you were visiting the page for the first time, so that the images is not cached in your browser yet.. The main images loads with the page since they are a part of that page but..When hovering on the button which supposed to swap the image... the current image disappears but the image that should be swapped with doesn't show up.That's happening because the images didn't load yet, so..After hovering the first time on the buttons the other images (which supposed to be swapped with) start loading, and the next time you hover on the buttons after few seconds everything works fine. The question is:Is there anyway to make the other images (which will be swapped with the main ones) to pre-load when the whole page start loading, so that when someone hover on the buttons the images are already pre-loaded and cached?I know this can be done by placing javascript code in the head to pre-load all the images you want before/while loading the page, so the images are already cached in the browser and ready to show when they are called. But the thing is I don't want to use javascript in the head, and thats why I made the whole image swapping thing with CSS in first place. Thanks in advance
  11. I agree the technology wont be the same 50 years from now, but I doubt that it will be so different from now..I mean I don't think there will be flying cars or time machines and such stuff, those things belongs to the science fiction movies and they will stay the same..I'm not really that old, but can you remember what people back in the late 1980's were saying about the year 2000 ?? Well.. they used to say the same stuff we say about the year 2050 - 2057 now, but nothing from what they thought would be happening actually happened. 50 years from now is a long time, many things might change... and actually no one can predict what will be going on by then. They are developing a lot of high technology military weapons and yet they still talking about peace.. Heh.. I just hope the world wont be destroyed by that time. Anyways, that will be an interesting show to watch.
  12. I only use Notepad for all the coding.... and Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for the graphics. But I think I will take a look at Crimson Editor, since I actually have more than a dozen files open at once usually
  13. I think I found it... This is the ugliest and most annoying website you will ever see... Well, at least it is for me http://www.jimmyr.com/internets_ugliest_website/
  14. Hello all... I'm Yaser, but online I'm known as YSR.I know... But I couldn't come up with a nice nick name for me yet, I tried so hard .. but simply couldn't :PAnyways, I live in Syria if you ever heard of it before.... and hopefully will be out of there soon I know xhtml, css... working on php now, but it's really hard to understand it from online tutorials.Well.. I guess I should keep trying. I found Xisto while searching for a free host .. and it's features seemed good, when I checked the site and the forums I found out that there's a great community here.I liked everything in general, and probably will be around for a long while...So I thought saying Hello to all would be a good start
  15. Ohh!!!11 Here also...Everywhere I go on the Internet I see ad's for Agloco....They haven't even started yet, I went to their site to take a look... long time ago... and they said that their program is still in beta testing, and you wont be paid for nothing yet..I'm not surprised that I checked now again, and it still the same way....I don't know, but I think it sounds real fishy.
  16. You can always join freelancer's websites, but you have to be a programmer or website designer with good skills. It's really good, I found it great...You will get paid for each job you complete, and you decide how much you charge for the job.Just place a bid and if the webmaster agreed, you will do the job for him, and then you get paid when you finish it..It's just a thought though.....
  17. They don't take much for a fee.Actually I think they charge less than Paypal or any other online payment system.I don't know how much exactly they charge, but I can give you a good example.I received a payment from a GPT program 1$ worth of e-gold.The fee was only 0.05 $ worth of e-gold.So.. Thats 0.05$ fee for receiving 1$....But I think that changes when you receive larger payment...I'm not sure..But I like e-gold anyways, since I cant use paypal
  18. The idea is cool, but you need to think of every domain you buy as you are going to keep it.Meaning: You need to give it time and effort as it is yours, not as you are just buying it to sell it fast .You will need to do some hard work in it, to build fair amount of traffic..But again, when you own a good website with such daily traffic.... why sell it??I think it would be more profitable to keep it then and and place some affiliation ad's, google adsense..... etc.
  19. I heard a lot about that site, so I decided to check it out..The sad thing is when I went there, there was a list of some countries that although people from it can participate, but they wont get paid ;)Unsurprisingly.. My country was in that list
