Really awesome gameplay. I've never played Resident Evil games before this. I rented one as a child and couldn't figure it out without the booklet so I just never tried em again. I bought this cuz I heard it was great and it really was. The weapon use, controls, the scariness.......it was all top notch. It was really hard at some parts and I actually haven't beaten it yet. That's something I should get working on soon.I definitely recommend this game for anyone. I enjoyed it and it's probably really cheap by now. Go rent/buy this and you'll be happy if you like action/shooting games.

Forget the war on x-mas. Christmas is a great time of year. I can't stand the fact taht people have to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". It's such an insane thing. It's not insulting to say that. Maybe i'm biased but I just really don't think there need to be any major changes to the way Christmas is every year.

Definitely green. I've just always liked it. Not so much light green or kiwi/lime looking color green. Normal green. Grass Green. You know the green i'm talking about. That thick dark color. Anyway maybe it's becaue i'm irish. Maybe it's because i'm a pothead. But I just love green.Yellow is overated.Black is for depressed people.Blue is to obvious.Red is dangerous.Green is the best color out there. Forget what you all think.

I feel like it should be lowered to 18. It used to be 18. You can vote at 18. You can die for your country at 18. You are legally considered an adult. Why can't they drink? I just don't understand it. It doesn't affect me anymore as I'll be 21 in a few months but I just don't see what the huge difference in 3 years is. I guess I don't have a real problem with it being 21.....but it's not like that stops anyone. I know i've been out drinking since i was 16 and the 21 year old thing didn't stop anybody. So lower it. I know it's not going to happen. They just actually raised the tobacco ages in my county from 18 to 19. WTF is the difference in one year? Also....it's not really accomplishing anything anyways. Lower the age.

How can suicide be illegal? If the person succeeds then how can they get any punishment. If they fail at committing suicide then you're going to arrest them? How is that going to help them want to live. I feel like there should be more focus on solving suicide rates....but to make it illegal is just too ridiculous in my opinion. I know it's your life and everything..........and that it also hurts the people that do care for you.....but how are you going to make it illegal? Lock people up if they try to kill themself? No. You get that person help.....but not put them through more drama then they already have.

^^^^Definitely agree with the poster above. Prevention IS better than a cure. The death penalty is just too harsh for rapists. It's hard enough for states to execute people as it is.....if we were to start executing rapists then it would be even harder. I'm not trying to say Rape is somethign that's not a big deal or anything like that. I just feel that execution.....or even castration as I saw mentioned.....is just going too far. Now I don't know alot about the prison system so I don't know if it's actually rehabilitating or not. I don't even know if prison will stop a person from raping again. But the thing is.....if we start executing rapists people will want other criminals executed for other reasons.I feel it would be far too difficult to enforce and enact a law that would make rapists get the death penalty. That won't happen and I don't think it should.

I don't really care much for the Blue Ray Discs. They are really just for Sony products and even tho I like PS2....i'm not a huge fan of SONY. I read somewhere something about Blue Ray Discs not making any pornos. They banned any pornos from being on the blue ray discs and the article I read said that any type of product battle (like HD DVD .vs. Blue Ray is now) - the side that chose to allow porn on it won. I can't wait to see Blue Ray's go out of business.....but they could surprise us.

To think that we are alone is just ignorant. There are galaxies upon galaxies upon galaxies and millions of light years of space. We haven't found much of anything but then again we don't have capabilities to REALLY look. There's gotta be life out htere. It doesn't need to be walking around space men.......but maybe some plants or water or bacteria. Some scientist was saying htat the Mars expedition could have possibly killed some form of life when it landed and that's interesting to say the least.I don't think we'll witness life on other planets/galaxies in my lifetime.......but someday we will.

She is really losing her mind. IDK what is going on upstairs but something is getting crazy. And people still look to her like she's a role model and someone influential. She's white trash who got rich for looks first and singing second and then we gave her all this money and she didn't know waht to do with it. People like this and Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan need to look at what happened with Anna Nicole Smith (another celebrity who pisses me off) and realize that they aren't making the right decisions.Why is she shaving her head? I don't f'n get it. The real loser in this whole situation is her kids. Either they end up with a crazy mom who's more focused on getting her singing career back than raising her children or an ex-background dancer who has fathered 4 children and has no REAL income. It's sad.....really sad.

 

So has anyone read this book? I had to read it last year for one of my english classes and was blown away. We had to read a lot of other books but none stood out and entertained me as much as this one did. Kurt Vonnegut is a crazy dude and this book is a great example of his intelligence. He parodies a lot of different topics like war, science, and religion. Bokononism is the one religion on the island towards the end and it's great IMO. The whole story, involving ICE-9, a chemical that could potentially end the world if it were to get into the wrong hands. What it does is freeze any water that it touches, and if someone were to let it go in the ocean....well you knwo what would happen.

 

 

So.....thoughts? Comments? If you haven't read it I suggest you go out and get it. It's a really easy read and was funny and intriguing.

I was talking with my professor and advisor at school and he was telling us about some hackers that got into and almost crippled the internet. He said something like there is a place htat has huge servers and computers that run the internet. There is something like 14 computers that do it all and some hackers were able to get in to 3 of them. That's pretty scary when you think about it. One thing's for sure...if someone were to take out the internet....somebody would work harder just to get it back up and running. It'll be interesting to see if anything crazy happens in the next few years with these e-terrorists lol.

Forgive me for asking.....but I'm new to these content management systems. Is it possible to have it so I can just post news/updates for my site and have it publish it (showing date and author and maintain a font style). I dont know if that sounds weird or not. I remember years ago someone helped me out and set up Newsboard (or something like that) and it was a cgi script. All i had to do was fill in the fields and click post and it would automatically update a certain page with what i just wrote. It sounds a little similar to what the OP was askign about. I know it's like a blog.....but without all the extra links and options. Can anyone suggest something for this?

A hypercube or Tesseract. I'm just guessing based on my knowledge of the movie Cube 2: Hypercube. Quite the interesting movie. Horrible acting but pretty cool story/effects. Anyway my friend could explain this better but I believe he said something like the fourth dimension is sound or something weird like that. I can't be too sure. It has to do with us only being able to physically see 3 dimensions....but there are actually multiple dimensions after that - that we can't experience.Sorry I couldn't help....but most the people here seem to have good answers.

I'm a little nervous about getting robots as slaves. I've seen the Matrix.....i've watched the movie "I, Robot".....it's pretty scary to think that machines would have so much control over us. I guess i'm a little nervous about getting to the point where we as humans rely too much on help from machines. It's scary. Maybe if there were ways to definitely control them.If you think about it we already have robot slaves.......they just do separate tasks. The Roomba or whatever it's called is a vacuum cleaner that guides it's way around your house and sucks up stuff. There's also tivo which is a machine that will record your programs. And your electric can opener will open your cans.I don't know when we'll see robot slaves. But I'm in no hurry to get there.

I'm just guessing it is a mixture of drugs. I've also already read that she may have had some heart defect (similar to her son) who died when mixing prescription drugs. It's really a shock that she has died because she just had a child who is now left behind with nothing. Nobody. I suspect her attorney is involved in someway. Howard K. Stern (not the radio guy) always seemed a little sketchy and I dunno if i'd trust him. Anyway sad news for her.....but I wasn't much of a fan so it doesn't affect me.

I don't remember specifics (I was young at the time) but I do know that it was just a basic Gateway machine. I don't know what caused it to be so bad...whether it was me downloading music or just our family's lack of computer knowledge.I moved onto an emachines with basic capabilities. It was around 500 bucks at the time and I really loved it. Looking back it's easy to see that it wasn't htat great but all i really used it for was typing and music listening. Since then i've gone through a laptop (with low space and memory) that didn't do too much to get me to where I am now.

Make sure you put it in either the public_html folder or the www folder. It doesnt matter which one you put it in.

I know this may sound really easy....but why can't I view my site. I'm not used to such an extensive host since i've only been hosted at other free subdomains that have been pretty simple. I've made my index.html page and everything but it won't show up. I don't know if there's something specific I need to do in order to get it off of the original introductory page that tells me the steps I need to take (which i've done). When I view it in the cpanel I see the html working but my images not showing up. I'm sorry if this sounds stupid. I guess i'm just a little overwhelmed at the directories and stuff. I just uploaded my files to the file manager....do i need to have them in a certain folder or directory? Can anyone help me out with this?

I'm a student too.....and have a job, but I don't consider it to be a "real" job. I basically work 7 hours on the weekend sitting in a gym checking ID's of other students. It's pretty easy and I don't really do much but read and do homework. Of course this is only when i'm at school. Over the summer and long breaks I do work regularly. I used to work for Quizno's (the sub place) and that was a really fun job. Recently i've been working for my local town tho. I got in because my mom works there and it's pretty easy.

Definitely Super Smash Bros. Melee. That and then probably a tie between Soul Caliber and Mario Kart Double Dash. I love those games. My friends and I would gather together....pass a bong or a blunt around and get a little lifted. Then we'd proceed to demolish each other via the Nintendo Gamecube. I'm still waiting on a new Mario Kart or Smash Bros. I know they're working on a new Smash Bros. for the Wii that looks amazing and has Solid Snake from Metal gear solid.Other than those I can't think of too many games. I didn't play Gamecube too much but when we were in a group...it was great for multiplayer use. I'm a PS2 owner myself.....but am looking into getting a nintendo system soon. THey've got a ton of great games imo.

I've played it yea. My roomate has the wii....and although he only has one controller i've found time to get a chance at it. I really liked the tennis and the baseball. Bowling was pretty easy.....and i can see why people were losing control of the wiimote and damaging televisions and ceilings. The boxing was pretty good....but I thought it was a little tough at first. It's amazing how revolutionary the wii really is. I mean it seems so basic but when you actually think about it...nintendo just changed the way people can play games and the way game designers will create games. It's a step forward in the journey to virtual reality. We've talked about the Wii in some of my digital media classes and there are articles now out there that discuss how playing the wii will help keep kids in shape. Now kids will get some exercise while playing games that cause them to get up and move around. Also...the wii is being used as a therapeutic (spelling?) device for people with disabilities. I can't recall the exact disease or disability....but it has something to do with working on getting one hand better with coordination and strength.Wii sports is revolutionary....even if it looks and seems pretty basic.

I don't know how many of you have experienced it.....but I sure have. It's usually from a dream that I ahve and anywhere from 1-6 months after that dream I will be in a situation where I feel like i've been doing or seeing it before. Like at one moment....everything just clicks. All the angles and views, the action that is going on.....sometimes even the discussion. It's crazy but i've felt deja vu. Now IDK if it's all in my head or what....but i've felt it and it's pretty neat. I like it and just smile whenever it occurs. I try to explain to people but they're just like yea whatever.
