  1. I think this race is wide open with at least 5-6 contenders able to win it. Basso, Cunego, Simoni, Savodelli, Di Luca and Rujano can win it. With only 38km of TTT and 56 km of ITTs in total, the pure mountain goats like Cunego, Simoni and Rujano won't be at much disadvantages, and i can't help but tend to think that Savo and Di Luca will struggle in the steepest mountains. Regarding thier teams, CSC probably has the strongest team but they will need that because everyone will expect them to work. Discovery also sends a strong team. They owed it to Paolo after last year's Giro really. In Danielson, they also have an extra tactical card to play. Lampre has the strongest mountain support, on paper at least. On the other hand, Rujano clearly has disadvantages here. He didn't really need his team that much last time, but this time he can't hide and will be marked. I'd really like Savodelli to win because he's one of my favourite riders, but i think it's unlikely given the course. My prediction for top three is Basso, Simoni, Cunego... Stage one. 6.2 km Individual time trial.... This short prologue doesn't tell much how contenders will fare in this long Giro, but it provided some indicaion on riders' conditions. 1. Great ride by Savodelli, he's clearly on top of his form after some stomach concern at last week's Tour de Romandie, where he had to pull off after three stages. 2. I'm surprised that Basso did not place in the top 10. He should have done a lot better in my opinion. 3. Di Luca proved he had improved in time trial. I think he will be either 3rd or 4th come the end of the race. He can clim well and TT well, but just not great in any areas to finish top. 4. Cunego and Simoni did their damage limitation well. Will be intereseting to see how they fare in the longer TT and the team time trial. Stage 2 well, Petacchi had his train up and running well until the last 250m. Apparently he just didn't have the leg to do it. Great decision by McEwen though. Hanging on Ale Jet's wheel then change to Pollock's at teh right moment. Stage 3 Built forclassic rider like Bettini and Rebellin to fight it out. bettini did try before the last hill but couldn't get clear. Chechu surprised a few by attacking the last climb alone, but Schumacher did very well to bridge up and sprint past him. Schumacher is now in pink. Disco boys will be pleased as they won't have to work too hard tomorrow. Bad news for petacchi though... someone crashe into him 50km before the finish and despite carried on to finish, he won't be starting tomorrow's stage as it was revealed the he has broken his kneecap. (ouch...and he still rode 50km after that... these cyclist are tough!) Ok that's first three wrap up from me. Any opinions are welcome! Btw, Basso, Di luca and Cunego lost 13 secs to Savo today as there was some congestion before te last climb. Simoni lost 20 and Rujano lost almost a minute! My heart says Savo can win this again! My head starts to say (1st to third) Cunego, Basso, Savodelli
  2. I forget what is the seires number of my Nokia, but it is the one of the 3G phone with big colour screen and two camera, one on the front and one at the back. I don't really like it that much now because it's quite big, and i hardly use most of the function avaialbe anyway. I only use the internet option to check football score when I am not at home sometimes but that's about it. Other entertainment online, such as watching film trailers, football highlights, extra games, downloading music all cost extra money which is not that cheap. There is also only one game pre-installed in the phone. Snake game which is not as fun as the old ones. So It's overall offer much less time-killing entertainment than my old ones. And because i travel on trains quite a bit, i have to carry a book instead.
  3. Hey, I like it...but they just cut out a lot of stories and characters. Hermione, for example, could have more parts here during the tr-wizard tournament in helping Harry and stuff. Also, how about the servant, who was supposed to be caught at the scene of the Quiditch World Cup. He turned out to be an important character in the next book and everything. Why did they leave he out? My boyfriend, who hadn't read the book when we went to see it, was lost somewhere towards the end because they seem to have cut out soooo much. And I admit that I wouldn't have understood something too if I hadn't read the books. So yeah...I think it was excellent and I like it a lot...But they cut out too much (ahh well, had they not cut out this much, the film would have been sooo long though ) Yeah I agree
  4. I agree. She must be somewhat interested in you. I think, however, that she might feel a bit awkward to date someone her close friend has dated. I don't know....It used to happen in my school..when a guy dated a girl (I'm calling this person girl1)...and after they broke up for a while, that guy then dated another girl(girl2), who is a close friend of girl 1... Then girl 1 got very upset after that.
  5. I think....for this kind of thing...it's never too late. When you have realised you have made a mistake, why not rectify it?It's hard to find the right one...and it's silly to let it go away so easily.
  6. Yeah...I think that's generally the case...the longer, the more credit you get.
  7. I love 'musical' (Broadway or Westend) music...i.e. half-pop and half- classical.I like certain kind of classical when I wanna relax.Usually, though, I tend towards pop and musical.
  8. hmmm...when I was at secondary school, a boy was after me. And another boy in the same gang also fancied me. There was a romour for a bit that they stopped being friends because of me.However, in the end, the second boy came to me (although he had never talked to me before...I just knew from friends that he fancied me) and said 'sorry I 'm not going after you anymore because I don't wanna have to argue with my close friend. If there was really argument, it would have been for nothing really...because I didn't go for either of them anyway....Well, just consider what you care more..friends or the girl.
  9. Yeah I never actuallly felt much about family ties until I came to study abroad. I guess it's definitely true to say ''absence makes the hearts grow fonder''.But yeah....I now realise I have a good fallback, if I fall. And my family always help with a lot of things (which they have always done, but I might not have realised before.) Anyway, say, I have my final exams coming up (which will count for 100% of my law degree)....The exams are really hard...To illustrate, we have 10 exams on 10 consecutive days, no break. The exams are on everything we have covereed in three years. A lot of my friends' family members are coming to stay with them for that exam period. So is my little sister, who is coming to help prepare food and stuff for me. This is so that I can just concentrate on my exams etc. To be honest, I think I would do the same for her if she had to do this kinda thing. But yeah.....when you are in hardship, you see who really cares for you.
  10. hmm happy birthday!I don't usually yahoo.....But I used yahoo online photo album. To be honest, it's not the best because I can only put small photos (i.e. small resolution) in, if I wanna make it public....But I'm quite happy with it otherwise. That's why I'm still stuck there.
  11. haha it actually depends1. IF you are on internet the whole day, playing online games etc, yes it can make you stupid.2. If you use internet to communicate: neutral3. If you use internet to read the news and find out some information, makes you more clever.4. If you use internet to chat, may broaden your horizon.5. Beware, many people lie on the internet etc. Lots of news on pedophile using the net to lure the children to come out and see them. Or some people get tricked by people in chatroom etc.So I guess, it all depends how you use it.Of course it's good. But it can soo easily be exploited
  12. haha that's funny. I think it's really hard to tell. But I''m more prone to say that it's not something unnatural. Probably some scientific/provable effect of eyes, light, and brain.
  13. well, I'm not gonna comment on the possibility or plausibility of this theory. But I hope not. It's the last day of my final exams...so I'm finishing my degree on that day.Hopefully, I'll have a chance to enjoy life after uni, graduation and stuff before
  14. I jsut wanna be me and be with everyone I love again...eg. my family and friend.I'm just happy with what I am and people around me already....
  15. I don't know actually. When I went to A-level school, definitely every wednesday some of my teachers play football. Now at uni, I think most tutors do their own research or marking. Also since I do law, many of my tutors are also solicitors or barristers. And so they go to court to advocate or advise parties on the phone. And I guess tey play with their kids too. I bumped into my tutor with her kids at the musuem once.
