  3. hahah...i've never heard also about bill gates windows edition, i also think that is some kind of transformation skin for windows xp, like windows blinds or somethinh similar to that...hehe, i think bill gates doesn't have computer, i think he have some kind of mobile phone computer with windows ce...or something like that...
  4. PHP is extension name for recursion acronym Php Hypertext Preprocessor.Or speaking in human language, PHP is Preprocessing language, like CGI (common gateway interface)...more like Python..anyway, with PHP u can process and write data, HTML, CSS, on server side... U can write other data structured files, like XML...or make PDF. .php is file extension in wich u have php script witch executes on server side and gives u a result in your browser window...So with php functions u can access databases, like mysql, fetch data and reform it, and then result is going as we expect in HTML format in client browser...So php i scripting language witch is poweful like CGI, and have many functions for databases and many addons, like GD addon for working with graphic files... also u can make PDF files with php..i think i give u some hint about php.
  5. Yes, that i was to say also....hey u guys u cannot compare those two languages...HTML is Hyper Text Markup Language, those means that HTML markup things, first of all markup text, then u can markup graphic files, like put some images like links within image markup tags. So u have Bold and things, PHP is PHP Hypertext Preprocessor and why it is preprocessor, it first processes php files then returns result to the browser. HTML returns result on client side, and processes on client side, and HTML is poor, it is used to design data, not to process data...so u cannot realy compare those two languages.. Because we miss here CSS, wich is better way to design HTML...and the power is in HTML-CSS-Javascript, here goes DHTML...but when u put it with PHP in combinations with MYSQL database u get right thing!! So, this discussion have sense only if u are begginer, OK, then u can say HTML is better than PHP because to you is simpler to learn and understand (and it is right to first learn) HTML than PHP... And here goes my recipe in order: 1. Learn HTML / HTML4.0/4.1 2. Learn CSS 3. Learn Javascript 4. Learn XML/XSL-T 5. Learn PHP/ASP 6. Learn SQL databases (Mysql, Posgresql, MSSQL or other) 7. Learn Java, JSP, ASPX, XML-FO...
  6. differences are in OBJECT level of programing...in Visual Basic you have objects. So you are programing in OOP (Object Oriented Programing). Like you have form, so you say in VB: form1.show=true or form1.enabled=true form1 is object, show or enabled is atributes of object...and so on if u get the picture..In simple BASIC like QBASIC you have just variables and functions, and that's it...and you make calls for functions, and u use variables... In Visual basic you have also predefined functions, and globals, and of course same old variables...In addition you get object and u work with object witch are stored in programing language like some sort of classes (In C), and that 'quazi classes' or 'so called classes' are using atributes to define the object that they making... so GENERALY... speaking hardcore, differences are LOT, but it's very easy to use to it, and MAN u will like it to make your first program VISUAL. I suggest you to learn VB, and then to try other sort of VISUAL languages like VISUAL C, or JBUILDER (for java)..
  7. Can u tell me where i can get free decent xml tree editor...I need editor that when he process xml file, he show me the content of xml in a tree format, something like InternetExplorer when he parsses the xml file and you can browse the structure, and i want it when i click on some xml tag on the left, that he opens me on the right content for each tag, so i can edit it...i know it's sound silly, but i need it for some simple things
  8. U can professinaly learn xml only at professional xml sites... look for recomendations on http://www.w3.org/ if u are beginner look at: xml.org site resources ...also you can try a google for many many good tutorials on xml... i sugest to learn other things about xml like: DTD, Namespaces, XSL, XSL-T, XPath, XQuery and XSL-FO. xml is used to store data in described format, xml is describing data, it is not designer to showing data, html is. Other tehniques are used for describing, designing and processing data like: CSS, XSL and other listed here on top....
  9. Also u have many linux distributions, every of that distributions do their job very good...Like live distributions KNOPPIX. Slackware, RedHat (FC2), then Mandrake (graphic is very good), then Debian (wich comes with most packages...then Suse (wich is commercial), then if u like wireless wardriving, Warlinux...and so on, so on... try to look on some desktops: linux desktop or this is novells commercial linux, wich is good also: novell linux desktop
  10. yes, that's true, because unix is like windows, commercial os, but what da hek u talking about that linux is no so much stable like unix?? MacOS X uses linux kernel? how come that they decided to use linux kernel instead of using some commercial kernels? because linux supported G4 and other processors, so it's all about support for devices, processors, linux is much unix like, it has all funcionality like unix, the only difference is that u don't have some commercial aplications for linux, like MS office for linux. Once i installed MS Explorer, on Solaris (SUN OS 5.6), and it's worked better than Netscape Navigator. It was 5 years ago, Netscape didn't supported CSS, and Explorer did, and Explorer really worked better and faster than Netscape navigator on unix. So, it's all about writing good software, i use evry kind of OS, windows is most common, but i also like very much linux, for networking, and unix. MAC OS for graphic, because it's made for DTP , and really great for that
  11. use switch, switch is better than hub, because it switch is smart and he switches packet, he remembers ip adresess, so it is faster than dumb hub. I now use wireless, because there is no wire , and it is good for me because i am mobile. Speed is good enogh and so on. I use usb wireless adapter that works well. You can buy one access point and one adapter, or 2 usb adapters and connect 2 computer at 11MBit or 54MBit in AD-HOC modes. I use this adapter dlink dwl-122: and also using this great asus wl-130b , great wireless card for low prize. I love it.
  12. he could put a aquarium and fishes, he would achive a right temperature for tropic fishes
  13. hahahahah.... these guy is maaad haha

I will open here croatian blender community on Xisto, and also english version with my work...
