Which forums are the best so far? I know IPB is great but costs too much. And phpBB is great and free. Which do you think are the best?

I think everyone knows that. I figured it out not to long ago.

Linux owns both. Except that Mac has a buncha tools and other stuff. Actualy...it's all in prefrence. Windows is what most people use cause of the games, and cause people don't know about other Operating Systems. Mac is used mostly by college people. And then theres awesome Linux which is used for servers and programming. My choice is Linux.

Sure Game Maker creams it but those are OPEN SOURCE OMG!!! And a buncha people work on them. It would be easy to advance them. By the way 3D in Game Maker is pretty good but takes way to long. You could read a whole C++ book by the time you finish and example or game!

I used MingW and wrote the source with: CONText...but I might be able to find out the problem. And uh...leeiah this is a C/C++ board...why would I post Java stuff here? Very hard question, eh?

That is so true. Thats why I'm 8bit. The only down side to the NES was the save part. Barely any games saved. I didn't mind it makes you better starting over. GO NINTENDO! Nintendo>All

What happens if I assigned a string to an integer? Because I used a try statement for it and the catch didn't get invoked! Does it just assign a to 0!?

What virus scanner you have? Some are stupid and say that some stuff is a virus. Use McAfee it kicks butt or look for another one cause yours must suck!

Sorry for the double post but: I DID IT! I'm on Knoppix right now! It took me a while to figure it out. I had to load the image in Roxio.

My computer is gonna beshut down before this thing ever finishes!!! Is there any other Linux distribution that runs off the CD? And all the ones at linuxiso.org run of CD right?EDIT: ...ok now for some reason when I download Knoppix from linuxiso it goes faster!

Ok I'll find a mirror for knoppix and how do you do the .iso thing so it will run? do i need to make a boot diskette?EDIT: Holy crap!! The only USA mirror is Purdue and it's in my same city but it's still gonna take a long time!

...Knoppix is gonna take a day and a half to download is there anyway I could download it faster? or at least another distrubution...

Sphere(sphere.sf.net), VERGE(verge-rpg.com), ika(ika.sf.net), same as I mentioned above these are made for RPGs with their own language. They are also great for other games. And the one dude who said the second version of his game is gonna be 3D...3D with GM sucks just use C++(kick butt!). It takes tooooo long to do 3D in GM.

I dunno why people take and old name and add a new name(GameBoy doesn't bother me cause what else is there to call it?) I mean really they have many people and all they can think of is "Xbox (insert add-on name here)"...

I think once you get 3000MB bandwidth then you'll be really lucky. Dude I use to think Opaque(I'm pretty sure he has Linux) was too cool to delete accounts. I would love to see the day where there is a sign up page where you dont have to post.

Google for the formula because ya know Google is a powerful tool. Dudes those online solving things take way too long. Once you give up take it apart and put it back together the right way.

I'm sure it's gonna be Xbox 2 Microsoft said so and then theres PS3(there are other names for console Microsoft and Sony!!!) then theres gonna be a Gamecube Next and a Nintendo Revolution...I saw someone say something about a "Xbox Next" I guess they got confused with GameCube Next.
