that's pretty confusing mate maybe you could rephrase it? do you use the DNS settings as a top-level domain, or is it parked on your subdomain on Xisto ?

uni.cc won't give you dns options anymore, i tried it a while ago too....you should ask Xisto admins for a subdomain (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) and then set up a redirect to the subdomain at the uni.cc thing. cya - m33

i think you can delete the index.html, because all it shows is the startpage, you can replace it with a index.php or any other file (the browser will go straight to a index.#### file, or startpage.#### so think about the title) if i were you i wouldn't mess with the other files. and yes, /www/ is the correct folder, it's just a redirect to public_html (or is it html_public ? i forget it all the time...) cya - m33

you can always pick a payed domain, for about $25 you got one for a year....free top level domains are very rare, too bad

if i disable it in the general tab (so it won't load at startup) it will load at the background for me, i'll get the message 'you have ## unread messages' and all that, but it isn't on the toolbar (at the right bottom) so i can't close it there before i open the full program (at the start menu --> all programs i think)i just don't want it to load at startup, sometimes i use 2 msns, so it's easy to use windows messenger and msn messenger (i use 7.0 beta btw )

does it happen in both browsers, or just in firefox or IE?maybe try scanning for spyware, it works all for me.

I know the problem, and it sucks.... 1dni changes the nameservers from ns1.trap17.com to NS1.TRAP17.COM (capital) which is a different IP i think, when i do a traceroute i get this: it's all in dutch <sorry for that> but it says:Tracing route to ns2.unixbsd.info [64.5.44.113] using max 30 hops: meaning the dns servers are wrong! unless you are ns2.unixbsd.info :S this is the IP i get when i save nameservers as NS1.TRAP17.COM..... (i know why it changes to that, it's ecause the first time i changed them to your servers, i copied the nameservers from the forums, where it was in capitals ) please tell me if i'm right here, or if i'm just thinking in the wrong direction. thanks - marc

well, there are people here that come here, get hosting, and never come back..... so that's probably the reason for this system, and it's a good idea to solve the problem how hard is posting, this forum is alive, and the people are nice, so what the hell!
