This is odd, i have run windows SP2 for a long time now with no real problems. Then the other day windows crashed while i was in WMP10, it said all plugins had been reset and i got a odd error, sicne i cant play any divx in WMP10 or in ares, i can use my divx player, but otherwise i dont really understand whats happend, and how to fix it.

Creating these ico files will cause errors. They also will be poor quality and especialy as icos are scaled. If you do a google search you will find a program that can make correct icos and dlls from images, and they will also indclude transparentcy.

There called Trojans and theres lots of them. The big one is Sub7. But there very easy to avoid. With simple programs that let you control ports and net conections (something windows should really let you do) You can block and get rid of any unwanted conections.But anyway its not that hard to stay safe, just becareful what you download.

Look into php & MySQL for being able to store data and retrive information on it.Photoshop 7.0 for graphics, http://www.good-tutorials.com/ has plenty of help.for php and mysql tutorials, searching google will probly bring up lots of relevant help

Thats a rather unhealthy obsession, one i would also have (if i had money). I recomend you invest in a guitar and teach yourself the songs on your CD's or write some of your own, that way you'll be able to get more out of the music you have.Out of curiosity how many cds do you have?

I dont hate school, but i dislike its educational and social systems. I can't learn in this type of enviroment where you are not given the freedom to learn independantly. College is my destination, i hear that its very much relaxed and you can be independant.The worst thing about school has to be its compulsory, there are thouse days you just really need time to yourself. And its the other people too, most of you dont want to be there, but you'll either put your head down and get on with it, or be the fool trying to crack a laugh all the time.

We all disagree with it except the vandals themselfs, i have vandalised propertie before and basicly, its a waste of everyones time.

Sure they can be a waste of time, but the idea of games is to entertain, and that is what they do. So if its dull, your bored, you can play a game to keep you entertained. I play Diablo 2 In my free time because i could sit on my *bottom* and watch a film or read a book, but id rather have some interactive entertainment.What games have you played that have given you this negative feeling?

I am into graphics and html, but nothing to serious, im good at concept design for layouts. But i dont have any qualifications for these things *yet*

It dont believe in it, but i dont close my mind from these things, there very intresting and i have tryed a "spell" of some sort, it did apear to work.

When adding in my old 40gig HD i had a lot of trouble formating it, due to the fact it had been partitioned. So i used my XP boot cd to reformat it, Somehow it added a boot option saying there was a OS on the hd. When booting up my pc i would get 2 option and would have to select the second one. I found out how to swap them so mine is the top option (Meaning i dont have to be here to change option when pc loads) but i want to know how to remove the second option. Any help would be greatly aprciated

Firstly - Longhorn comes with new PCs due to its anti piracy interogration, you cant do anything illegal on it, allthough im sure there will be holes and people who will crack it all. Secondly - Of course its going to hog more ram, if it didn't you wouldnt need to go buy ram

Best way, in my opinion (and others), is to get yourself a HTML generator, IE microsoft front page. You can create decent webpages with this and have little knowledge of html. Due to its html view, you could create a simple piece of text, view it in html and see how it works. I started of using it for websites. By creating lots of them i slowly understood it, i then took a big intrest in launguage itself and learnt very fast. I still use it now, but i use the HTML editor view a lot. Anyway good luck on learning, if you get stuck with anything search it on google
