Do You Have Stairs In Your House? I am protected.
pandacakes replied to Velveteen's topic in General Discussion
We have 2 small sets of stairs. When you enter the house there's a small foyer with a game room (we consider this the main level). Then there's about 6 steps for going upstairs and 6 for going downstairs. So I guess it's 2.5 stories. -
Oh jeez, this reminds me of the trauma I had less than a week ago. My family and I were taking a road trip and the A/C broke in the middle of Kansas (because our family has a jinx where EVERY time we drive through there something on the car breaks). So naturally we're in the middle of nowhere with nothing but nasty warm water. It took FOREVER to find a gas station to buy 4 gigantic soft drinks. The gas station happened to have a digital thermometer outside. The temperature? 112 degrees Fahrenheit. NOT FUN.

You could attempt to demolish organized religion, but people will still believe what they want to believe. Religion isn't the same as faith. People's sense of morality would greatly decrease, and almost every behavior would be accepted. As far as war is concerned, there will always be war over something.

Anything's possible, eh? I would totally buy that if it existed (and was reasonably priced). I can never remember my dreams no matter how hard I try. I've been told that I talk in my sleep, but I never remember having a dream at all when I do. It'd be interesting to see it all like a movie, and see how long it takes to actually dream your dreams. Cool idea!

Music Genome Project Discover more music that you may like
pandacakes replied to FLaKes's topic in General Discussion
I absoultely love Pandora. I've found tons of music I love that I wouldn't have even considered listening to before. For the most part, the music suggestions seemed to match up with what I like. But then occassionally a song would come up that was nothing like what I wanted. That's easily solved by giving it a thumbs down though. The more music you listen to and rate, the more accurately it works. Definitely good if you seem to be stuck in a music rut. -
I find the really "elementary kids on the playground" ones to be really annoying. (Stuff like "your mom", "your face", "no, YOU are!", "shut up!") It's really pathetic to hear people say stuff like that. I mean, if you can't think of a good comeback, it's better to just look at them and laugh or something instead of making a fool out of yourself. Because I know I'm highly amused when I hear people say stuff like that!

What Is Lucid Dreaming? And how to do it
pandacakes replied to TheArrow's topic in General Discussion
I've always wanted to try lucid dreaming, but the idea kinda freaks me out for some reason. I guess it's because my dreams usually seem to show me something, and if I controlled them I'd feel like I was missing something (if that makes any sense at all.) It does seem like it'd be great to control your actions and make your dreams more pleasant. -
Oh, thanks for that script! I've been looking for something simple like that for a long time. Every script I found through Google was so dang complicated! Thanks!

I primarily use Juno. Don't know why, I just have for about 5 years. I also have Hotmail and Yahoo which I pretty much only use because of the handy new mail alerts. Then I have a Gmail account which I got when not everybody in the world had one, but I never use it.

Yeah, I agree about it being a novelty idea. It would be fun to watch people's reaction when you write it out for them. I wouldn't use it as an actual email address though. You sure as heck would have to have cookies enabled if you ever wanted to log into it without spending 5 minutes typing it out every time.

Thanks! Haha It's pretty cutesy for my taste, but I lack in username creativity so I had a friend come up with one for me a while back. Now I just use it everywhere without even thinking about it.

What Would You Do If There Was No Internet? hmm...
pandacakes replied to whyme's topic in Science and Technology
I'd probably go through withdrawal for a while, but eventually I'd move on with my life. Actually, I'd probably be better off without the internet, since I waste so much time on it. If it wasn't for the fact that I desperately need search engines to find school help sites, I could probably give it up all together. But since it's so easily available, I'll continue to be the internet addict I am. -
Firefox Or Internet Explorer that is the question...
pandacakes replied to Judman's topic in The Internet
Firefox for me, definitely. For a while, I had no idea any browser existed other than IE, but then I discovered Netscape, Opera, etc. They were okay, but about a year ago I switched to Firefox and I can't imagine using anything else. It's so customizable, tons of great plugins, and the pop up blocker is by far the best ever. I'm glad people are starting to configure their sites for Firefox more than before. -

Thank you to everyone who posted this. I have not tried the other versions that have been posted, but this one worked for me. It's definitely loading pages much faster now! Thanks! -
Hello there everyone. I just registered here today after finding Xisto through Google. I was looking for a free, reliable web host with no banners, and Xisto sounded like the best deal by far! I'll try my best to be as active as I can on here, and I hope to meet lots of you!
