I use a lot of background lines in my own graphics work. I feel that as long as they are put into an image that looks good with them, they look fine. I have to say I like 1 more.

Losing Quality With Animations. Question.
Adobemedia replied to savge17's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
|yuup unfortunately that is the drawback to gifs unless you have flash software.|And flash files are 2-3mb in size, and most forums don't allow them. NEVER use flash for sigs. For an example of how flash is supposed to be used, check out (with a DSL,Cable, or BrodBand modem.) http://www.2advanced.com/ -
Nope. I don't think SWFs are allowed here. They are to big.

Programs used to create cool sigs and animation?
Adobemedia replied to brautigam's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Nope. No flash. Infact, NEVER use flash for sigs, considering the files are huge. Flash is a program from Adobe that enables you to creat interactive animation. For a good example of what you use flash for, go to 2advanced.com. The entire site is in flash, and will give you an example of what to use flash for. PS. Don't go to the site if you have dial-up. As said the gimp is a very good FREE program. Download it at https://www.gimp.org/. Hope this helps, -Aaron -
|Because I have had problems with this in some computers where they have flash player 7 and the page just looks awfull because it doesnt have flash 8, and they dont even know why, and flash doesnt automatically update its player anymore.... I kind of remember that it used to do that? |Flash 8 has some speacial effects, that requires Flash Player 8. These include text, and the new flash 8 filters. In flash, go to File > Publish Settings, and click the HTML tab. Make sure the Detect Flash Version checkbox is checked. This will check the version of flash the user has, if it is version 8, it will go on to your site, but if they don't have 8 it will show a HTML page telling them to download flash.I hope this helps you,-AaronEDIT: I just realized what epox had posted. Myy post will explain what will happen.Sorry,Aaron
