My first pc was : Intel Celeron 900 mhz and later clocked to 1200 mhz 128 mb sdram 20 gb 5400 rpm Soyo motherboard Cd-rom with 54x (yes yes) 15" from dtk intel 815 graphic card and later geforce 2 mx 64 mb Pretty good

I haven't seen mac os but I would like, in fact I haven't used it But now I've seen mandrake and debian distributions closely and (not that I am suse fan) I can't say that they are soo good. Mandrake is pretty good when comparing with suse, maybe better in some things but debian, hm... no But then windows is pretty fast if we looking boot but this is because windows first boot up and then search for new hardware etc. and linux do all those thing before they come with desktop, it's hard to compare but linux need just some time, nothing else now WIN XP 51% LINUX 73% This is my opinion

Let's start!First thing to know about suse is that this is linux So please if you have conexant or some other modems like this (you probably heard about them) and if you don't want to mess with installation of them then buy a new one, they are not expensive! Now, installation is simple enough, if you want to have win and Suse first install windows and then linux because linux boot don't recognize the linux so you will lost linux on boot! Just insert cd or dvd and then follow the words Choose the language and everything and be careful about partitioning because if you are not careful you might lose your windows or other os if you have it! Also choose the packages that you want and all that you don't And also I suggest KDE and not gnoome, KDE is nicer After installation you just need to configure everything how you want!Choose one desktop, this is enough Then if you have ati, drivers for your card download from suse page because they are better and you can easily configure you 3d acceleration. Now, games, there is some games that are good and you can play it on linux without emulation, you probably know about that but always is good to mention, ut2004 really good game, you can find more games on google, on tucows all software that you need, you know that linux has many programs for everything so you should not mess with new programs! Also if you want windows programs and games as you know just get cedega or wine! Phpopen source programs! Open office is like word on windows There are also many browsers. And as you can see when you finish with installation you are almost finish with everything, you just need to get games and other stuff like new programs!

Mambo You can intergrate it with IPB with no problems You just need some component wich you can download from http://www.mamboportal.com/ and installation is very simple There is also one italian portal wich has that option for intergration in installation, very nice and easy but i don't remeber what is his name

I have both of them and Norton is very good, many utilities for fixing your computer, but if we talk about scan and that well...Norton is very slow when we compare it with nod32 and I have no problems when I scan with nod32, it's fast and find every virus, same as norton wich is much slower :angry:If you need to choose then I say NOD32 and ofkors it is smaller

Firefox because it displays some pages what opera don't, also displays editors and other stuff, some problems when I click back is slow because of reloading and sometimes I just want to go back on same page :angry:Opera- in most situation is faster but because of "indexing" page i usually have many problems :blink:There is no way to compare them :ph34r:One is faster the other have great stability and so :)Person choice

I have problems with my keyboard so i can't use print screen many of keys are not recognized This is because my keyboard is old and there is no name on it and the linux has't recognized it very well

(Xbox is really god but the biggest problem here in croatia(my city) is that the games for xbox are really expensive and here is only one store with Xbox games, but in Zagreb there is more games but like I say it's expensive and there is almost no way to get it ilegal to my city SO I will download all games trough wireless )

Nothing will go wrong with that optimization, is work like thisYour computer wait about 20 seconds to start killling unrespoded programs and if you do this it will start killing programs when you decide (1000) :angry:There is many optimizations for everything, to speed up computer you can clean prefetch folder(everyone know this ) just use google

We must think about that that we have many programs on linux who are like comercial one for windows but we don't pay anything fot themOpenOffice like MS office you need to pay, except WIn, for MS Office and then for photoshop and for everything if you want to do something, and on linux you have all programs alredy for install or installed with no additional cost SO is much better You can't do anything with installed windows xp for example, if you want to crate some photos you can s*** on paint you need to pay for one program and on linux is enough to install it and you are ready to go

I suggest Adware, Spybot is god and SpySweeper but is not free, I have adware professioanal and SpySweeper!SpySweeper has many god addons like startpu shield, realtime protector and Adware professional has almost same thing!Spysweeper is "bigger" so i reccomend it because of that but Adware is "easier" I mean "faster" and just lighter

NOD32 How you forgot to add it?Is the fastest antivirus what I have seen and is very god :DAlso I like norton because of utilities but it takes so many resources and pc-cilin because I got it with my computer :DMcAfee is god but I had many problems with installation so i don't use it Sophos is popular in croatia but even I am from croatia I don't think that is so useful After that NOD32 is NO1 is fast really god working, no problems with viruses and great stability I recommend it to everyone
