I use all three, Opera boasts to be the fastest, I have several firewalls on my computer so I don't have to worry about app downloading, and usually apps don't download so some pages are messed up when I view them. The only thing I don't like is Mozillas pixel count. It makes it much harder to design websites, because I do it the old fashioned way and write out all my scripts, so I have to conform my scripts so the positioning works on mozilla, and mozilla also doesn't show all the fonts as IE, or maybe my computer is just a bit dosed. And mozilla takes longer to open than IE, opera takes the shortest for me.Anyway, I use more IE, but Mozilla for certain things, and opera, because I do believe it is faster, it loads up faster, too.

I agree with boozker, Bush made terrorism a problem, he wins his elections with fear and governs the nation with fear. How do you think he wins elections? However, impeachment is not what the US needs, I think the best option is wait it out and learn from your mistakes. He only became President for the same reason he got into Yale, his dad did it before him.He insults countries by adding them to the 'axis of evil' list, provoking North Korea as if he wants them to make bombs, and gives nations in the Middle East to resort to terrorism, he's also causing problems at home racially, Middle Easterners are targetted and they are descriminated, it's not hate crimes but it's little jokes.Bush wants to monitor the internet, take off coffins in the war from television, control the media, probe anyone that wants to fly, and basically take away the freedoms that the US is known for. It's too bad I think, the US is a great country, it's just unfortunate. In addition, oil prices are up, gold prices are up. Gold, being a stable product is what investors buy in fear of an inflation in the near future, that way they know their money will be safe in the gold market, however, gold is just one of the warnings of inflation fears. But I'm sure it's not fair to pin all the economic problems on Bush, after the economy boomed under Clinton a slight depression was inevitable.Anyway, all in all, Bush is bad, but Kerry did not strike me as charismatic, and Blair, although off topic, isn't impressing me very much. Impeachment is a straight ticket to chaos, not a good idea. It's just a year or two now, if you have a problem with Bush watch the World Cup to get your mind off of it .. that is if anybody here likes football.ENGLAND MADE IT! But barely. sorry for getting off topic

Thanks so much, wow this place is really a great deal, they'll host top levels and you only lose one point a day, very nice.Kudos to XistoDumbledore, I see you're a big Harry Potter fan? Same here! Maybe we could chat about it sometime.Sorry I was pondering domains and I realised I have yet more questions! O:)Anybody here suggest a domain provider? I'm looking for, obviously, a low price, but also I want to be able to feel safe with the company, know that they won't use my information or manipulate my account or pull off any scams. All suggestions welcomed. I'm leaning towards a .net domain, the name I want is in use for .com*merged by jlhaslip*

If you think about it, most of these superstitions are sprung from the Church, which was very prominent in England, and also many of these come from the times of Elizabethan England. However, I believe every nation has large amounts of people that are superstitious, it's just you don't hear about them, the UK and US are clogging up the news these days, so there's no time to hear about the superstitious peoples in the less developed countries. I'm not superstitious, and none of my friends are, if anything, superstitions are more common in developing countries and countries that rely more on religion to govern the nation than developed countries in the West. Sorry, had to let that out. --- Anyway, as for Friday 13th, I don't think of it any different, it's just another day, the only effect it has on me is that college gets out . Which is always good news. Other than that, I don't do anything differently on that day, I don't believe in superstition at all, so if something bad happens, well then something bad happens right? I'm not against Friday 13th though, because although people are oppressed by their superstitions I get to enjoy a day off, for old witchcraft worries and frivolities that were given birth to half a millenium ago.

Hi, everyone, I've just got a couple things I need some clearing up, I'm not too acquainted with how domains and hosting configure to each other and whatnot.1) If lets say I register a top level domain https://www.domainit.com/ or whatever from any domain provider (godaddy, yahoo..), could I configure that to my Xisto free hosting account (I don't have one at the moment)? Or with Xisto hosting account am I limited only to subdomains?2) How many hosting credits do you lose if you do not post one day? I'm just wondering for the future, to make sure before I go on holiday or anything that I have adequate hosting credits.Well, that's it for now, any help is welcomed. Thanks!

Yeah, everybody is going crazy over the prime bit of triangular numbers, but they're not prime numbers, they're triangular numbers. As for that, very interesting, I learned something new today.I was thinking of where we used triangular numbers in everyday life, and it struck me that fifteen, our good friend, is used in billiards. Good fun, anybody else here like billiards?

It's not all meta tags, I have several sites that have meta tags and don't show up on google even though I've repeatedly registered them to the robot. Google uses links, if you want your site to show up in google in the first place, you need to have other sites linked to you, or else the bot will never find you. However, I don't know how the ranking works after you're in, I have never had the pleasure.I doubt it's all meta tags though, that seems old technology, anyboy can pop in a few meta tags at the top of the page, I still think it's link count. Because a website can keep the same meta tag and be first on the google search for so long, and then one day, it's second, without changing a thing, think it lost a link?As for the links, that's how sites like webrings and traffic sites work, too, they link to you, not only so other people can see your website, but it also helps you to get recognised by google, and I'm sure it helps them, too, of course probably in other ways. Now, I'm not really sure about this link theory, so if I'm completely wrong, please, cut me some slack, but I know at least getting recognised by google in the first place you need other sites linked to yours.

War In Iraq Ever Ending? bush says we may pull out troops
PmH replied to PmH's topic in General Discussion
Yes, unfortunate truly, and especially in times of war. I'm not sure if everyone else has ever thought of it this way, but especially WWII and perhaps the Cold War. For example, the Nazis, Germany was thought of as horrible, when truly it was the Nazi regime, not everyone was a Nazi, or another example is Japan during WWII, citizens are judged by the actions of politicians and generals. We are the mercy of those who govern us, but really, shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the people be telling the government to do? And I'm sure if that were the case, Americans would be telling Bush to end the war, troop withdrawls faster, too. I can't believe Blair dragged the UK into Iraq, too. Off Topic: Thanks so much , I really like it here, forums are very active and the people are very nice! -
Is Christianity Just Another Religion Or Its Superior
PmH replied to nustadventist's topic in General Discussion
Not true at all. Depends on what form of Christianity you are talking about, there are so many different kinds now, there are people, still, who repent their sins by whipping themselves, which, to me at least, doesn't sound very lenient. And, several other religions have a "manual". I can only guess that you are referring to the Bible. Don't forget Judaism: tora; Islam: Koran; Buddhism: 4 Noble Truths; 8 Fold Path; Hinduism: Andalects (although it is more holy scriptures than a guide) -
War In Iraq Ever Ending? bush says we may pull out troops
PmH replied to PmH's topic in General Discussion
Haha, I agree. And one problem with Bush is that he's hurting the US image in the international community. Europeans don't like the US as much as they used to, which is too bad because it is unfair to judge a group of people by one administration, that is clearly not representing the people. As for the link, I don't quite have a link, because I saw it on BBC this morning, but I'm sure they have a link on their site about it, I can go search for it and come back and post it here.Anyway back to the matter on hand, and yes I've been to jibjab, PURE GENIUS!I hope others will post here, too, especially those that don't agree with me, I always love hearing the other side's argument, because how can one learn if they only hear one side of everything? -
Largest Known Prime Number A very long number...
PmH replied to sonyguy's topic in General Discussion
It's fascinating, really. The realm of technology fused in with the infinite world of math, what I don't understand is what type of program they run that, and how fast that program can go through a certain set of numbers, because eventually won't it just take longer and longer to find the next prime number as they get fewer and far between? And as for $100k for a million digit prime number, I wonder how many have been found already. It seems like a pretty tough task, without the proper technology... which, I, unfortunately am not equipt with .Oh well, guess I have to get a job outside of prime numbering. -
Is Christianity Just Another Religion Or Its Superior
PmH replied to nustadventist's topic in General Discussion
True, people should be able to believe whatever they like. I don't think one religion can be superior to another. However, people look at society today and see that more western nations are stronger in the international community, the US and nations in Europe: UK, Germany to name a few. Then they see that all of these countries have some form of Christianity as its major religion, so they may come to the conclusion that it is superior. But, I do not agree with this at all! Every nation or group of nations has its limelight. Look at India, the Gupta empire, did that mean that Hinduism is superior to Christianity? not a chance! Look back at the Middle Ages, Europe was in horrible shape, does that mean Catholicism is inferior, not at all. People are set in the frame of mind that whatever standards are set today will stay. Who knows what the world will be like in a thousand years, maybe religions would have completely changed, or maybe the East will govern the world. No one really knows. On an off topic note though, there is one aspect that I have found in almost every religion that does bother me, please correct me if I'm wrong, but most religions either want to force other to join or persecute those that do not have the same beliefs, either today or in the past. I'm not going to lie, I don't look forward to those kids dressed up in tuxedos to come at my door and hand me a brochure for a church, which has happened quite often, in the past though, there are several examples of people enforcing their religion, which I do not like at all.No religion is superior to another, and no one has the right to descriminate against others because of their religious or lack of religious beliefs, and they certainly do not have the right to impose their beliefs on others; however, that does not mean they have to forfeit their own beliefs in fear of offending others.Sorry for the rant, I had to get it off my back.PS. I hope I'm not too late, I'm new -
I'm looking to start learning some PHP this summer, I've got a good grip on HTML, given that I never read a book on it, and my friend taught me. I'm good in logic and math, and taught myself CSS, I only know a tad of javascript, but now I'm getting ready to go to the real stuff. HTML and CSS don't allow me to do enough, I want to learn PHP, but I'm not sure I can teach myself off of help sites anymore, this seems a bit complicated. One of my friends is learning PHP, too, so it will be an advantage to bounce ideas off each other.Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any good books on PHP? My main goal is to learn how to program forms and forums, and I'd also like to learn how to configure apache and mysql and whatnot. Is anyone else looking to start learning PHP, too?

Now I'm sure you've all heard this before, people complaining about the Iraqi war, but I just don't understand this. At the beginning of the war Bush did not allow dead US soldiers' coffins to be televised. If you take a trip back to Vietnam, it was the televised war and coffins draped in US flags on tv that made it so unpopular. Well, it didn't seem to help this time, I guess, the war is still unpopular.I saw a news article earlier today, which said that talks will start between the US and the new government in Iraq about withdrawing troops. Then they went into explaining that withdrawl is dependent on how stable the new government and all that. Apparently the US has over 130,000 troops there, and it "may" be shaved down to 100,000 by the end of the year... END OF THE YEAR?! Hasn't it been long enough? Or am I the only one that is outraged, and if we withdraw 30,000 troops and leave the rest hanging around for two years or so, then we wouldn't be fully out of Iraq and the lack of troops problem will be even worst. I don't understand how the Bush administration will get out of this one, but I have a feeling they're just going to prolong so it'll be the next President's problem. Politics really is confuzing.Anyway, I hope I haven't offended any pro-Iraqi war people or any pro-Bush people, I dislike Kerry just as much. I don't think he could have done any better job either.Post your thoughts! I'm new, and I love talking about politics and the news.
