I tried to learn how to code with Faux Columns but it was to comlicating for me and I just couldn't get it. So I was wondering if someone else could code the layout for me? If you could that'd be awesome! All I basically want is so I can edit in each of the 3 columns and edit the logo if need be, also have it have Faux Columns. (I think thats what they are called, where they go down with the content of the page) >S_Naruto Layout< If someone could do this great!

I was wondering if someone could make me a website layout? It is for a Star Wars website that is doin' great and it has only had pre-made templates lately and getting a layout specially made for it would be awesome and very much appreciated! Also, I was wondering if you could make it so that the page expands with the ammount of content that is on the page. So instead of it being the current height which would limit me to only that much content I would be able to put unlimited content on it. Mich's is also very cool, I love the animation used but to me it seems crowded. Truefusions's is good but seems a bit to plain and didn't catch my eye right away. randomdood's is to blank and Idle's looks good but seems over crowded to me.

This tutorial is not mine, it was made by a good friend called Feck who is letting me repost it as long as I give him credit. Tutorial: Fecks Filter Tutorial Program: Adobe Photoshop Fecks Filter Tutorial In this tutorial you will be learning all you need to know to make signatures like these: The first step to this tutorial is of course to open up a new document. I'm using the size 340x120 but you can use whatever size you like best. Everyone has their favorites after all... Once you open your new document, fill it with a dark grey or black. [Edit >> Fill] Now go to Filter >> Render >> Lens Flare. Set the brightness to 120 - 150% and pick a spot on your signature to place it, preferbly somewhere where it will be behind your rence once we put that in. Now that we have out the Lens Flare and its done. Its time to stick our render in there, place your render over where you just put your lense flare. Now that we have our render in there, we want to duplicate it (CTRL+J) 3 times. This sho uld give us four render layers to work with. Hide the top 3 and go back to your original render layer. What we are going to do on this one is smudge around the outside of the render. Just do this with your favorite smudge brush and your favorite settings. The brush you use and the settings you use will be different to mine and will also make your outcome more indivual. Once you have done that, unhide your next render layer adn do the same thing. Smudge around the outside of your render. This time, however, instead of leaving the layer set to normal 100% opacity. We want to change that to Color Dodge 100%. You should have something like this. Next thing we want to do is unhide your next render layer. On this one we wnat to do a wave so go to Filter >> Distort >> Wave. Just keep clicking randomize until you get something that you think will add good flow to your signature. Now finally unhide your top render layer and blend it in a bit. I did this using a technique that was taught to me a while ago. How I did my blending is to get the LASSO TOOL and go right around the outside of your render. Follow the outline closely, but not to close. If doesn't matter if it is rough. Once you have gone the whole way around your render, hit CTRL+I to invert what you selected with the lasso tool. Now hit CTRL+D and feather to 15px. NOw just press your DELETE key until you think your render is blended enough. What we want to do next is add some EFFECT C4D's to the signature. Open up a couple of nice colored ones, preferbly onces of a similar color to a color in your render. Add your first effect c4d to your signature and set it to Linear Dodge. Move it around utnil its in a nice spot. Erase any parts covering the render. Add your second effect crd and again set to linear dodge and move it around until its in a good spot. Erase any parts covering up parts of the render. Now you should have your very top layer selected so hit CTRL+E to merge the layer down. What we are doing here is merging all the c4d layers togeather. Now that we have all the c4ds on one layer go to Filter >> DIstort >> Wave and click randomize until you get something you like. This will lwave your c4ds, what we want to do is add a little more flow. Erase any parts on the render that you don't like. Now create a new layer (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+N) and go to Image >> Apply Image. Once you have done that go to Filter >> Distort >> ZigZag. Set the ammount to 100. The ridges to 1. And the style to Pond Ripples. Once you have done that take out a 100px soft brush and 50% opacity and erase away most of the layer. Leaving only parts to add to the flow. Create a new layer again and apply the image once more. This time go to Filter >> Distort >> Wave. Like before continue clicking randomize until you get something nice. As with the previous layer, erase away a lot leaving only parts to add flow. Again, create a new layer and apply the image. We will be using a different filter again this time. Go to Filter >> Distort >> Glass I used these settings, Distortion 12. Smoothing 10. Texture Tiny Lens. Scaling 190%. Erase most of the layer leaving only touches to add a nice effect. Now what we want to do is go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Gradient Map. Use the black to white gradient map and set it to Multiply 48%. Next go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Gradient Map. Use the orange and purple one this time. Set the layer to screen and 54% Opacity 69% Fill. Now that we have done that we need a Curves layer. To do this go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Curves. Play around with the settings until you get something that looks good. Everyone will have different settings because everyones signature will be different. Create a new layer and apply the image. Now go to Filter >> BLur >> Motion Blur. Yes thats right motion blur. Many people you will see use a Guassian Blur for this but I felt like being a little different. Set the Motion Blur Angle to as close to the angle of your flow as you can. Set the distance to 75px. Now set this layer to Soft Light with 100% opacity. Now create a new layer and apply the image once more. Now go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Sharpen. You should only need to sharpen your signature once. But just sharpen it until it looks good. Finally add some text and your border and we are done. You will notice that mine I chose a simple 1px black border and some small p izel font text that I moved somewhere so it wasn't really in the road. There it is, also I'd like to once again thank Feck for allowing me to post his tutorial!

Yeah, like randomdood said, the background isn't transparent in internet explorer but is in the other browsers. You can save it as a .gif and make it invisible in internet explorer but it loses quality. Anyways I'll be sure to relay your comment about it to Lysander.

Tutorial: Slanted Pictures Program: Adobe Photoshop Example: Ok make a new document any size. Mine is 350x140. Fill the background with Black. Get some brushes and brush with white. Then make a new layer and brush with black. Repeat this process switching between Black and White. Grab a render and place it into your sig. Resize it using CTRL + T. Once your happy with the size press CTRL + U and set the saturation level to -100. Ok now we need to add color. Make a color balance layer by going to Image > Adjustments > Color balance These are the settings I used but you can do different. Midtones - 45, 26, -62 Shadow - -30, 19, -62 Highlights - 0, 0, 0 Now render clouds. Filter > Render > Clouds and make another colorbalance layer. Midtones - 47, -39, 47 Shadow - 0, 0, 0 Highlights - 39, -43, 34 And redner clouds again and make a final colorbalance layer. Midtones - -29, -31, 20 Shadow - 0, 0, 0 Highlights - 0, 0, 0 And render clouds. Ok now add a border. Make a new layer and press CTRL + A and then goto Edit > Stroke > 3pxl > Black > ok Then Edit > Stroke > 2pxl > White > ok Then Edit > Stroke > 1xl > Black > ok Set that layer to Soft light Now add some text. Once your happy we can make the signature slanted. Click the top layer and press CTRL + SHIFT + E to merge all layers. Press CTRL + A to select the whole image and then copy it. Open a new document the same size but 20pxl wider and higher. Paste the signature into this document (transparent) Go to Edit > Transform > Distort Move the corners around untill you have a slanted look. Right click the layer and set these blending options. Drop shadow - Distance 8, Spread 31, Size 0. Now goto File > Save as Make sure it is saved as a .PNG file. There it is, also I'd like to once again thank Lysander for allowing me to post his tutorial!

Tutorial: Fancy lines in signature Program: Adobe Photoshop Example: And here is the tutorial. For this example I have used a base background image with width 500px and height 100px. It can be easily adapted for other sizes. 1. First thing you need to do is get the correct tool. It is normally pre-set as the rectangle tool. As such from the options on the top row you need to pick line. Then give it a weight of 0.1cm. 2. When this is done draw you first horizontal line. 3. This creates the shape you are going to use. For the rest of the lines you must select the add to shape area option in order for it to function properly. Once this is done draw a vertical line. and another and then a diagonal and another horizontal line. 4. The next step is to double click the part where is has the name of the shape to bring up the blending options. On this window pick bevel and emboss, leaving you with this. 5. The right click on the image's layer and then duplicate it. 6. The select the image with the move tool, click the edge, then right click the edge of the picture, then choose to rotate it by 180 degrees. 7. Finally move both of you bits in to the opposite corners and you have your borders. Just a little note. I saved these screenshots as Gifs as it makes the file smaller. Here is the finished product as a JPEG. There it is, also I'd like to once again thank Apodae Swift for allowing me to post his tutorial!

This tutorial is not mine! A friend I know made it and is allowing me to repost it as long as I give him credit. Name: Beveled Inner Glow borders Program: Adobe Photoshop Example: Tutorial: I am going to go ahead and assume you know how to open a new image in photoshop. For this test I have used a width of 500px and a height of 100px. 1. Firstly you need to select your rectangle tool. Drag it accross the picture, making sure to hug the sides of the image. 2. This is the rectangle. As you can see it hugs the edge of the picture. This is needed in order for it to work later on. Make sure it hugs the edges of the picture and doesn't spill over the sides. 3. Now you need the rectangle tool again, this time you need to choose the "subtract from shape area" option. 4. Then drag another box, this one though needs to be smaller then the one before it. I suggest using the cursor tool to actually define the width. To me it seems the perfect width, however it is a matter of choice. Anyway this gives you your basic border. 5. To make it a little more interesting double click the shapes name in the layers part to bring up the blending options. Then click the boxes to activate the "bevel and emboss" option and the "outer glow option". These can be experimented with to your hearts content. I find the standard quite nice, though I often change the outer glow colour or patter. There you have it. A nice little border for your pictures. Oh and the whole hugging the sides of the picture thing. That was because if you don't do that then I find the bevel and embross doesn't work as well as it should. There's the tutorial, once again.
