  1. Now whatever i write here is from my high school bio classes. Our blood has antibodies and antigens, these antigens cause action from antibodies, antibodies will kill red blood cells with the same type of antigen and will form klumps. there are three basic antigensO typeA typeB TypeIf your blood type is A - you have A anitgen, and B antibodies, so giving you B blood will cause klumps and you will die.Similarly if you have B, you have B antigen and A antibody, so giving A blood will kill you.You have O type, it means you have both A and B antibodies nut neither antigen, that means you can basicallygive blood to anyone , but in the modern scenario such chances arent taken.Rh factor is also very important for blood classification, if you have Rh factor antigen you are Rh positive, if you don't, you are Rh Negative. if a Rh- woman is pregnant with a Rh positive foetus, it can cause the death of the baby, as his/her mother's antibodies will attack his red blood corpuscles.A blood test is done by applying your blood with antigens and then seeing if your blood reacts, the test is simple enough and i think the chances of the test being wrong are equal to your sample being exchanged.

  2. Popular indian channels like Channel V, B4U , Balle Balle, MTV , iTV and MH1 were reprimanded for broadcasting raunchy music videos. This apparently violates the Programme Code under the Cable TV Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. The information and broadcasting ministry has asked the channels not to show these videos and also to air apologies that they had broken the law and will be more careful in the future. This brings us to a very important question, why is this happening, it should be upto an individual to watch whatever he wants to and whenever he wants to, why censor them. A person who is hurt by these can simply watch another channel. Someone who like to watch such music videos watches it, others simply don't.There are a thousand and one problems plaguing our country ( ranging from corruption to crime to declining sex ratio )and the government instead of tackling issues which really matter is wasting its time on such trivial pursuits. We friends (from the school) had a huge discussion on this and we all came to one conclusion that we all can use our discretion to censor videos using what is called in plain english a remote and the Government doesnt need to poke its nose into every other thing. What does everyone else think about this ?

  3. I forgot my english language !!! I must learn english as quick as possible :D:angry:

Its quite easy to understand english, even if it is broken or even if the grammar is not right, hence dont worry (thats its advantage), just keep coming here and you will be a pro in no times :D .

  4. hi friend. i am using lg fat monitor 15 inches. but now i want to change my monitor. i wanna change it with LCD monitor. so can you please suggess me which monitor should i buy. i want 17 inches monitor. monitor which u are using is that good. what about its graphics. please tell me all the details. and if u have any website on which i can know about the monitors then tell me.

As you live in delhi, i reccomend you go to Nehru Place, check out the LCD monitors at the big shops, there is one Benq showroom which has all their monitors running at display. Check out the ones from LG, Samsung , Sony and Benq. The one which suits your budget and the one which you feel has good functionality is the one you need to buy.

  5. Although death is scary, I would like to die while still on my feet, not on the bed with others having to take care of me. The worst is when you become dependant on others for even going to the toile, its much better to die then. The best way to die would be a painless and effortless death, without me knowing that i am dying, because if i am aware that i am dying, i would be terrified.

  6. its only natural to have fights with your parents. I have them all the time, then we come together and forget all about it. Yes these fights can be hurtful at times, but never take them to your heart (Never). You should understand whatever they say , they say it for your benefit , they would never want anything bad for their children. When they shout, never ever shout back it will only make matters worse. Hope this helps you.

  7. This raises an interesting question. What is an Indian IT professional to do, stay in India where work is in abundance for less pay or move to a western country where work might be a bit harder to come by but the pay is higher? Obviously for some people the question will be easy to answer as they have no desire to move to another country, for others I think it would be a difficult choice. What do our Indian members think about this?

Well this has failed to remain a question, prmiaryly because of so many visa restrictions. And i dont think Indians find it hard to find jobs even in the US, on the contrary good jobs in India are hard to come by. Take a look at our population growth and you will see. Its only people who study from good colleges with good grades who get such good jobs. Unlike America, college education is not as expensive in India, however a seat in a good college is hard to come by.This can be estimated from the fact that about 3 lakh students (approx) alone try for 4000 seats in the prestigious Indian Institues of Technology.

  8. Not all forms of hacking is bad. It all depends on how people use it. But, as for the book, i didnt know it taught such stuff. Seems interesting.

Hacking is not bad. Hacking is the acquiring of advanced computer knowledge, without any malicious intent. They even render their services to companies helping them with network security by finding flaws in their networks. Its cracking however which is using this knowledge for playing pranks or stealing data or destroying data. Its a common misconception of people who confuse between hackers and crackers. And also i read somewhere that any hacking related talk wasnt allowed on the forum.

  9. i have a sony ericsson K700i, which allows you to watch streaming TV, and my mobile service provider gives 2 channels for free. CNBC and a news channel. the picture quality aint great but the sound quality is bearable, so i can listen to CNBC on the phone using a headset. And there is a 5 second time lag too from the Television, which is not much. The service however is not very reliable, it takes some time to form a stable connection, and then too the connection is disturbed in about 10 minutes so you have to reconnect.

  10. So i am getting a laser printer free with my monitor, so i reckoned i might write about how lasers compare with their inky counterparts , these are things i knowLaserjet--- a laser shines onto a drum, the drum gets charged, attracts toner, and is applied to paper at high temperature and pressure. Thats why the paper is warm when it comes out.Pros - Faster printingBetter QualityIdeal for high volume printingMost have inbuilt bigger buffer memoryCons-ExpensiveToner expensiveColour versions really expensiveverdict - Ideal for Office or SOHO and also if you have to many bucks to count. However the cost of toner might kill you.Inkjets- As the name suggests they spray ink onto paper, or in case of bubblejet , a bubble is made which bursts to put the ink on paper. They use movable heads to spray Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black ( commonly CMYK) colors. Inkjets combine these colors to make any shade possible.Pros-Much CheaperColor printing cheapConsumables cheaper ( i say cheaper and not cheap as as the cost of cartridges outweighs the cost of the printer in a few years)Cons - Lesser QualitySlower speedVerdict - ideal for low volume home printing, or color prints when the budget is tight.I dont guarantee the technical accuracy of all this info, however all this is true to the best of my knowledgeIn both types of printers i see that the cost of cartridges/toners is quite large, so is refilling a good choice. Its cheap true, but the ink quality is bad. Moreover some companies revoke warranty if you dont use original consumables. Addon something productive if you know more about it or correct me if i am wrong somewhere.

  11. i absolutely loved the Age of empires, liked Age of Empires2 and the Rise of Rome. Age of Mythology was also good. So i was waiting for Age Of Empires 3. When i finally got my hands on it,It stinked big time. The only thing good was its pre-game video. The game obviously lets down the name of its predecessors. The game runs so slow, the characters look like trees and when a fight is taking place on water, the system will hang unless you move to a non-battle location. so AOE 3 gets my vote for the least favorite strategy game i have played

  12. Even i had read it in the newspaper, but i believe that cellphones do pose a risk. Anything which exposes you to radio waves does harm you in the long term, cell phones even decrease sperm count. Your best bet is to use many wave stopping thing available in the market. And when you are not outside, dont keep the phone in your pocket , keep it away from your body. Whenever possible, use a landline.

  13. it was about 7-8 years ago, i think. I and my brother pestered my dad for a computer. my dad was very much computer litterate with his DBASE and Wordstar. So we convinced him to buy us a computer. Our 1st computer was a Pentium 2, 233MHz, 32MB Ram,creative infra Cd rom drive (one of the best that existed, came with a IR remote),a floppy drive( i stilll have the same one),Yamaha sound card. Later we bought an epson 640 stylus which was to be my 1st printer. this computer although primitive now actually cost us a bomb.
