AOL is the world's 2nd most used search engine.Remember that you've got to build better SEO'd sites than your competitors for a keyword on order to rank above them.

HI,My windows xp crashed while I was playing a DVD. It was "16 blocks" so I guess my pc just couldn't handle looking at bruse willis and decided to end its life :)Anyway, upon restart I get the usual dell loading screen and then a screen with several options on it - start windows normally, from the last good save, or in safe mode. None of these options work. They all result in a blank screen or lines of code.I have a dimension 5150 pc. I was not supplied with any windows XP cds.I have data on the PC I'd rather not lose.Any ideas of what I can do?Thanks,Andy

cell-phone internet usage may not have taken not taken off... yet!But I think it will. At the moment I've only got a phone that will access the net but the screen is to small to really make it worthwhile. it was given to me in xmas 2004. I'm going to be getting a new phone this xmas or january wit an internet capability and a bigger screen. i'm NOT joking. it takes at least 8-12 weeks.after 8 weeks most search engines will just have your index page on fil weeks 8-12 they add the other pages. it can take longer for the whole site to be indexed.

the .mobi domain is beign launched in 7 days - 26th of spetember. have you pre-ordered yours yet? I think that with the url being an important factor in the Search engine positioning of websites you really have to consider getting in on the ground floor of this new domain. keep in mind that there are already more mobile phones than TVs!!! in 1-3 years I think most people will use their mobiles to surf the net as well. I bet internet ready phones will be sold in in the 100,000s this christmas!Next may also sees the publishing of the .tel domain - another domain aimed at mobile phones. not only that but alot of the major search engiens are already experimenting with pay-per-call advertising systems, another website-mobile phone targeted market.So what'd you think?

google is the worl'd best known search engine, that's for sure. people have got it into their heads that they use google.com to search the net. the other top 2 search engines Yahoo! and MSN are used to search the web by the users of their free email services @yahoo.com and @hotmail.com and microsoft have even added msn into the internet explorer to give it more searchers.Google doesn;t need to have other services available for people to use it though they are starting to go that way - gmail, etc.

- Google is just a search engine. people search it coz they know its NAME. yahoo and MSN offer other SERVICES such as email and internet explorer and people use them to search the web because it is convienent (the search box is right there!).

Competions between the SE's is important to webmasters as it can affect how much traffic your site gets as your rankings for keywords will vary from each of them.

no offense. that sounds very racist. to describe frace as "fading fast" due to its large muslim population completely ignores the fact that french muslims are not radical but rather peaceful french citizens. I've heard about this directory that doesn't want your home pages, but your content pages submitted to it. You can submit as many content pages as you like from your site, as long as they are relevant to the categoy you are submitting to. Blog articles as well!

It's kinda like a search engine crossed with one of thse hit exchange programs. What I love about ti is its a great way to find sites that you would never have thought of searchign for before!Excellent!

to get more visitors your domain name should include your keywords i.e. http://luckily.com/ or whatever.Shorter domain names have less keywords in them (yours didn;t have any) so it was actually worse for SEO purposes. I think it was the imporved content and links that got you more visitors. or maybe the SE's were going to imporve the ranking of your site anyway.

I'm telling you, it is a must to have your site included in google sitemaps to get ranked in google nowadays.

Sitemaps is a free membership based submission program where google will give you stats on your website - last time it was crawled, any errors found, keywords it's ranked for.
