Your Favorite Type Of Music whats your favorite?
Mortanis replied to shamamster's topic in General Discussion
I love just about any kind of metal...Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Gothic Metal, Industrial Metal etc. Recently, though, I've been getting into Techno music as well as German Metal such as Rammstein, Megaherz, OOMPH!, and Eisbrecher. (Today's Till Lindemann, the lead singer of Rammstein's B-Day...and it's Dero Goi, the lead singer of OOMPH!'s tomorrow!) -
yeah, as I said, it'll always turn out different, with the cloud filter. And good job, dumbledore.

I was just monkeying around in photoshop, when I discovered this. It was so cool, I thought I should share it with y'all.1. Make a New Document. I used 400x100, but it really doesn't matter what you do.2. Change your foreground colour to #930606 and your background colour to #0000003. Filter -> Render -> Clouds4. Filter -> Distort -> Twirl Here I used 708 degrees, but you may have to do a little guesswork if your image size is different than mine (this applies to all of the steps from now on).5. Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap Highlight Strength: 18 Detail: 14 Smoothness: 36. Filter -> Distort -> Ripple Ammount: 100% Size: MediumAnd there it is! P.S. Don't worry if your "pool of blood" doesn't look that great; because the "cloud" feature is involved, it will always look different. Here's on I did from before:Now, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that I came up with this on my own, and any similarities to other tuts are mere coincidence. Also, this is my first tut ever, so feedback would be most welcome.

well, you just said it. If breathing the fumes damages you, how do you think sucking on lead toys would affect you? Think about how smal children suck on necklaces, marbles, etc. One highly publicized incedent concerned a 7-year-old sucking on a 100% lead pendant. She developed autism. I think that there should be warnings on items containing lead, because it's not as dangerous to adults, and possibly not dangerous at all if an adult doesn't wear it against his/her skin. But I know what you mean with transistors and stuff like that. And sodder is made of lead and some other metal (tin, right?), so yeah.

Thanks guys, the last post got it working. One more question, though... how do I log into Cpanel? It says I should get a pm or something? When I enter in the p/w I got from signing up, it's wrong.

I just signed up for a site, but when I try to get to cpanel at the link it gave me, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ , there's nothing. It just says "the page cannot be displayed." I get the same thing going to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (my domain name) Any ideas?

Latin for six is (don't laugh, if you do, you're immature) sex. one = unus two = duos three = tres four = quattor five = quinque six = sex seven = septem eight = octo nine = novem ten = decem So, yeah, a Latin scholar you are. Actually, just found out Hex is greek So I was right. EDIT: damn, I just noticed all the posts above me... I was responding to the guy who said I wasn't a latin scholar...

Well, there are a few ways to tell: if it feels heavier than it looks, if it's a dull grey in color, if it's a very bright color, or if it makes marks when scratched against a piece of paper it may contain lead. However, this isn't a for sure method of testing. Can be any ammount... I tested around 32 suspicious items; 28 came back positive, but for possibly legal ammounts of lead. (The tester I was using turned black for items with 50 ppm+, so I don't know the exact number.) \ quite

I think a lot of them are made using latin or greek terms... Hex is something for six.

Okay, I just got through getting rid of some "MovieLand" thing that installed itself onto my computer. Geez, these things bug me! According to it, because I "installed" it, I now have to pay a $90 fee to make the popups go away! I was just about ready to sue! I finally downloaded the Yahoo toolbar to get rid of it, though...But my main point here is, why do these adware people do this? Are they just genuinely slime? I mean, their entire job would be making other people's life miserable, so that they can advertise for some company! Now the last thing I want to do is go out and buy winfixer, or anything else I heard about through adware!

A lot of people don't think about what they're buying when they're getting their dollar-store jewellery, but I did some research into this, and here's what I got: First of all, I'm from Canada, so most (if not all of this stuff) applies to Canada only. I think the lead regulations are controlled by the individual states in the US, though. Lead is a toxic heavy metal, normally bluey-grey, until exposed to oxygen, when it turns to a dark grey. It is poisonous even in very low quantities, and it can bee leeched either by way of the skin pores or by directly sucking. Lead used to be used quite a bit in many places, especially in paint. Other places include Mexican Candy (it's used as a sweetener), spaghetti bracelets (it's used to keep it soft, yet strong), and glass (obviously to keep it solid) However, around 20 years ago, the government of canada released the Hazardous Products Act, which contained regulations concerning lead useage. This webpage contains the information inside of the Hazardous Products Act. Then, around 5 years ago, Health Canada released an amendment to the act, with childrens jewellery items included. The regulations were and are: 600 ppm (aka mg/kg) of total lead content, and 90 ppm (aka mg/kg) of leachable lead content. So yeah, I'm getting a little tired of writing; I'll probably come and edit this with more information later. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic title and description modified.

Hey, my name's Graham. (Though I'm ALWAYS mortanis in everything on the computer...) I'm still in school; take french immersion. So you might have guessed I'm from Canada. Winnipeg (aka Winterpeg), Manitoba, Canada to be exact. I like to complain, research things that interest me, etc. My current favourite game is ogame (https://en.ogame.gameforge.com/, a massive online real-time stategy game), but Starcraft and Age of Empires are right up there. So yeah. I can't think of anything else to say, atm.

Hey, I'm using (sorta) Visual Basic Express Edition Beta 2 (long name, eh?), but I can't find any good tutorials on it; all of them are for visual basic.net... Is this the same thing? I don't think so, and if I'm right, where can I go to get help for it?

Mortanis replied to quiksilver's topic in Computer Gaming
lol, I'm practically addicted to ogame... I have 81 000 points in uni 2 and I'm in the IFA alliance. I gotta say, though, ogame is WICKED. Practically all the stuff in it is real, such as plasma technology and deuterium (heavy hydrogen). If you want, you can IM me in ogame... my name's Mortanis
