  1. This is not what I think about when i think of the Patriot Act...but I guess it happens. I personally am against the Patriot Act because I think it violates my personal liberties. But that is rediclous. I mean, the lack of a SS# on file does not mean you should be put out of work. Just clear it up.
  2. I put the TOS through EULA Analyzer and it came up just fine. I have not had any problems yet.
  3. Nailed it right on the head. But Fireworks does put up good competition. And Opera for firefox. But ps3 is really the console winner. Fireworks has good userfriendliness, but if you are an expert at either, photoshop beats it out. And Opera and Firefox are very similiar, although I am a big firefox advocate.
  4. Now that is funny. Wow. That job must suck...I hope everything is sterylized then. Well, only toddlers use rectal thermometors anyway. But, still that is funny.
  5. Dell Inspiron E1505 This looks like a nice new addition to the Dell line of laptops. It will have the Intel Duo processor, and I think its specs/weight ratio is very good. But, I have to keep telling myself not to buy anything until Vista comes out. Good call, no? But yeah, Dell looks like they will continue to reel out new computers until the end of the earth. The Intel? CoreTM Duo Processor T2500 (2GHz/667MHz FSB/2MB Cache) looks like it is a very good mobile performer, and it come with a lot of internal wireless options.
  6. Home Desktop, about two years old, Dell 4550 Personal School Laptop I can see myself keeping my laptop for school for the time being...maybe this time next year I'll get a new desktop with Vista Unlimited
  7. I got an e-mail about maintenence, maybe that was it.
  8. I think it is a very complex arguement from both sides... Pro-Death Penalty Not wasting cell space Not wasting government dollars Depending on the case, the criminal getting what "s/he deserves" no possibilites of it ever happening again Anti-Death Penalty It's a life! Rehab possible If rehab is done properly, this person could become a contributer to society Part of my take is, life in prison without bail or parole is worse then death! If you are going to waste away with no chance of getting out (unless you are falsely accused, which is rare these days), then why not just die then? What's the point? Am I missing something on that? Also, because of rehab possiblites, and if no rehab is available (worse punishment then death), I vote abolishment of capital punsihment.
  9. Link to software It looks like a great package of software to me. Most of the reviews are good. But, I already use: SpyDoctor (registered) Registry Mechanic (registered) Ad-Aware SE Personal Microsoft Anti-Spyware (now "Windows Defender") Bazooka Scanner I use ThunderBird for e-mail, so I don't find a need for spam protection, and I use Mozilla Firefox, so there are fewer pieces of spyware and fewer viruses to begin with on my computer. So the question is, is this tool worth buying?
  10. I do not backup that often...when I had to reimage my HD because a surge protector failure, I purchased a 120 GB External Hard Drive. It is nice. Back to the point, I guess I should do backups more, although I am very diligent about spyware and viruses, so I guess between that and a good surge protector, the chances of sudden loss of data is low.
  11. No problem, I'll make sure to include a more descriptive topic title and description next time. Thanks for your support, and I again reiterate my pledge to be a better poster
  12. I use Google AdSense for our Congregational Website. We don't get a lot of hits, but we get lots of revenue for some reason. Yesterday, we got 76 hits and earned $4. That was our first day, so I am not sure if that's a lot or a little, but from an administrative point of view (the money not going to me), its better then nothing. I implemented the small referrals button on our forums, index header and index footer links area. No one has done anything with them yet, but I don't really understand how they work from reading the FAQ on the Google help area. It says I get $100 if someone gets a new account by being referred by my site. Is that all that really is to it? And, our site used to use GoogleSearch, and I am not sure how many hits it got, but would there be a significant change were we to switch to the ad one? Thanks, htdefiant
  13. I'd like to apoligize to Xisto, and I hope this is the right place to do it. I have been a member here for a very short time, and was very excited to get some free hosting. I made my posts, got my credits, and was denied. The reason was my posts did not have enough content. I, clearly at fault, took the Administrator's suggestions and re-read the readme and the rules. Although I don't think my posts fall under the category of spam, I do think some of them do lack content. Therefore, I will not ask again for hosting until I am at 30+ credits, and I ask that the administrators kindly disregard any of my posts written before 10:00 a.m. eastern time, February 24, 2006. Thank you, and again, I apologize. Sincerely, htdefiant Notice from mayank: Edited topic title & description
  14. I prefer standby for periods shorter then 1 hr.Hibernation is much better then shutting down, so I use it overnight.
  15. I find those Chuck Norris facts so funny :lol:They are a big hit around my high school.
  16. Well I do have faith in G-D. Just not the son of him. Yes, I am Jewish, and I am proud of it. I don't mean to offend any other other religions by saying that either htdefiant

  20. I signed up for this service months ago but I have received no word from google. I am really looking forward to this service, and hopefully we'll get it sometime soon.
  21. I speak bits and pieces...your rough translation is about right
  22. I live in Virginia...but this really matters to everyone. Look at this speech from one of our delegates: NOTE: This is a quote, a bit long, from a speech, I hope I can use it. If not please delete it and I will repost in some other form It really is a great speech. But, as I know from personal experience (intern, staff, etc.) no one will ever listen to this stuff. Which is a shame. Because it really gets to the point and shows that what the U.S. is doing about gays is plain is wrong.
  23. Well you'd think Bush would be smarter then this....well, that'd be something new. It is so stupid...we are at war. You don't just give a large port to someone who is near the war you are fighting. We don't even know if they are good or not. Its just another political move I think.
  24. It's awesome. I am the Ottomans and an ecoomic powerhouse . Great Bombards are sweet...also Imperal Monitors are the greatest unit in the game. Upgraded to the max, they can hit an outpost ONCE and knock it out. Yay
