Playing It is what I and many other modders only do half the time. I can agree that playing gets boring after a week or two but modding and adding your own content makes it fun again. First moddling and texturing the object can take a lot of time and then you have to make sure it has a small enough polygon count for it to still let the game run smoothly. You then have to program it into SIM PE to tell the game what the object is and animate, it can be a lengthy process but does keep you occupied.I can't wait for the new expansion pack to come out though. Sims 2 Open For Business looks great and you finally get to build and run your own businesses be it a lemonade stand to a large scale resturant. The other expansion packs have been good, University got us getting the 'Young Adults' extra jobs (For people who like quick and un-repeating processes do not get this expansion, it can take up to four hours to get your Uni student to pass Uni with a decent score.)Nightlife also brought us something many players had been wanting CARS!. This game iis mainly Hot Date all over again but Is still an excelliant expansion, I have been trying desperately to make a car work properly that I have created, many other modders have been successful.Check out http://www.modthesims.info/ to see what you can do to the game.thewebber1988- - - - - - - - - - - Are You Local? - The League Of Gentlemen

5.1 Sound System Problems Need help...
thewebber1988 replied to adriantc's topic in Hardware Workshop
Glad I Could Help, Windows Media Player is only limited to 2 channels and it will play the identical stereo in the back speakers. It you want extra bass in Windows Media Player try changing the first 2-3 bars on the Graphic Equaliser upwards and that should Improve it, you have to fiddle around to get the right sound though. Have fun with your new surround sound. thewebber1988 -

Apperantly With this game the copy protection is too good for itself it not even accepting the original disk on older drives. Read that on another forum. Cariba-creek-blast have you got a new copy and if so would you recommend buying it?thewebber1988- - - - - - - - - - - Are You Local? - The League Of Gentlemen -

To reset the ride all you had to do was press the red traffic light. Quick Question :Which Version of RollerCoaster Tycoon do you like the best Number 1 With Expansions, Number 2 With Expansions or Number 3 With Expansions. In My Personal Opinion I Perferred Number 1 the best as it was original and you couldn't do what ever you like (e.g. Sandbox), you had to do the scenario. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is great though after you get all the patches put on for all the bugs. thewebber1988 - - - - - - - - - - - Are You Local? - The League Of Gentlemen -

What program are you using to play DVD's. If you use PowerDVD version 5.0 go into configure, sound, select 6 speakers and then choose and audio expander, I use Dolby Pro Logic Movie Mode. This is the only version of PowerDVD or any DVD player for that manner that works with mine, if you use the later versions I had really big troubles and got rid of it.This has me puzzled but I will try as much as I can to help. Also go into Device Manager and check what the Status of the Device is by going into properties. Otherwise try e-mailing NVIDIA's support. Another problem that I had with my card was that Windows Installed the wrong drivers so it thought it was a 4 channel card, check that on yours. Hope This Helps. thewebber1988 -
5.1 Sound System Problems Need help...

In my eyes your lucky, i can not get my subwoofer to be quiet.I have had the same problem but with different chipsets, thinking that you are running Windows XP go into Control Panel then go into Sound and Audio Devices, look at the bottom of the General Tab and you should see Speaker Volume and Advanced. First Click on Advanced and set the computer to what sound system best suits you. Then go into Speaker Volume and configure the volumes for each channel and test. Then again, your computer might be like mine and not show the six channels, only the left and right. If that doesn't work go into the Audio tab and make sure the default device is the one you are using, adjust the other ones if the sound card also does their job.If that doesn't work I find a reinstall of drivers is a good fixer of these kind of problems, make sure you have a copy of the drivers though before you uninstall them as you wont have sound at all, if that is the case just use System Restore located in Accessories. It is always wise to create a restore point before you do anything like this just incase any thing goes wrong. To Reinstall Drivers:1. Right Click the My Computer Button and click on Properties.2. Click the tab 'Hardware' and go into Device Manager.3. Go into the Sound, Video and Game Controllers Sub-Menu right click your sound card and click uninstall, click yes when it asks you if you're sure and then restart. Either it will reinstall the drivers during the restart and you should hear the Windows Startup Music on the next startup, if it doesn't install the drivers though the copies of the drivers.Hope This Helpsthewebber1988P.S. The reinstall could be an ideal oppertunity to upgrade the drivers, go to the manufactuers website and download them there. -
Most likely your main hard disk is the one that Windows is booting off, if you want to find out which one is which if you have two hards drives listen to the different hard drives to find out which one is more active when Windows is on it's bootscreen, this is a possible solution but can be wrong.

Macromedia Flash Who has ever used Macromedia Flash?
thewebber1988 replied to mystmag's topic in Programming
Hello Everyone, I have a lot easier way than using the Adobe version of Flash to make Flash. Check out http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Their programs do everything in just a few clicks, have a few hundred ready made effects that you can put on anything. Also you can put it's files into Flash if you need to do something that it can't do (very, very unlikely) and vice versa. It uses it's own programming language called 'SwishScript' which is a lot like Java but for you who don't know Java it has a guided function, it is very quick to learn and it adds a whole lot more interactivity into you site. There is a fifteen day trial on their webpage if you want to check it out. They also have programs like SwishVideo which makes video files into a Flash document to prevent copying, SwishPublisher and a plug in for PowerPoint if you want to convert a PPT presentation to Flash.Hope This Helps. The Webber- - - - - - - - - - - - - - Are You Local? - The League Of Gentlemen -

Download the two programs Google Earth and the Microsoft Version (I couldn't find what they name it )If you have a look at the Macintosh Headquarters in America on Google you will see that the building is there but if you try to find it on the Microsoft version you will not have much luck as they have covered it over with a field. The same is for Area 51. On the version that I saw Micosoft Covers It Up with Teal Boxes but Google once again shows all.The third thing that I have noticed is that Google Earth shows all the Military Bases around the world but the Microsoft one covers them up.I'll try and find examples for this, I haven't used the programs in a while.
