Right I will explain the concept of different hats concerning hackers,A white hat hacker is a computer expert that uses his/her skills to help companys as in testing their security by trying to get past it or designing the security themselves and for this obviously they get paid. A black hat hacker is another computer expert but they are not employed by a company(yet they test companys security anyway heh) and they hack into others computer without consent of the owner, they sometimes deface website and display them as trophies on certain websites, the stereotype black hat hacker is a microsoft hating, linux using, computer genius although there are many exceptions.The grey hat hacker is usually a white hat hacker who still is a "part time" black hat except they usually play funny pranks or use their hacking skills to get a message across.

Wow a load of people looked at this poll yet no one posted in it,anyway yeah I agree with you ronin because some of these hackers just hack innocent peoples without anybody provoking them and then they just destroy the persons stuff and that is just being a *BLEEP*

Hmm..interesting so far,I suppose it is safer to not be a hacker because microsoft consider most hackers their enemies, as black hats consider microsoft as their enemies because microsoft are anti-open source and such like.But being a white hat must be pretty good as you are being paid to do something that gives you the thrill and paid well at that and of course its all legal.As for the grey hats they have a bit of fun and pranks as well as being paid to be "good" hackers.

I am just interested in the online community of Trap 17 and if you want to print why you are the certain kind of hacker then go ahead by all means.Who knows, someone might hire you (unless you are a dedicated black hat).

Yeah i don't really care about whats on the drive so thanks alot for the advicei will just install windows again on the drive again.

it cuts out just after I log in, so i can't defragment the drive, all i can think of is installing windows on my other drive and wiping the one that is giving problems

I have an Xbox and a Ps2 and I have to say that Xbox is better, mainly because of the games, Sony have to now share Gta with Xbox and Gta is the reason I bought the Ps2 in the first place, Xbox had the right idea of keeping games like halo(except on P.C. later) and halo2 to xbox only and this is the reason I bought the Xbox, to be able to play these games.But the thing that annoyed me about Xbox is that you have to buy a dvd kit before it runs dvds whereasPs2 is dvd ready straight off the shelf.I don't know much about Xbox live as I live in a non broadband area in Ireland but I have heard it is good.Even though I like Xbox better it is by a narrow margin

A great game only bad thing is that the main quest is way too short or easyyet I still recommend buying it because it has a high replay value for those boring rainy days.I still think morrowind is better

To all you computer experts out there:I have a windows 98 packard computer and my c: disk is full(well nearly) and just when i want to format it, now it cuts out every time I log in, as in the computer appears to be on yet the screen is not getting any signal from itso can anyone help me?

In my school we got a new principal about 2 years agoand since then he has:-banned chewing gum completely-banned eating food inside the school-banned older students from buying other student food from the shop across the road from our school (younger student aren't allowed over)-banned female students from playing same sports as male-banned moblie phones-using school soccer and basketball courts after school hours-given many student evening students evening detention for:turning away from him,opening windows and other stupid stuff like thatDoes anyone else have a principal like this?

Nah, i ain't too suprised at this combination, a few people i know like both. Linkin park and slipknot are popular choices in Ireland. Bad thing about my class(in school) is that they're are all farmers and don't know most of these bands with the exception of the really mainstream bands like red hot chili's and evanescene or u2, so if i did this survey in my school they probaly be the top 3.Just a small minority of the students would know the less mainstream bands.(so thanks for your replies) does any one like the pixies or radiohead?

Well I am doing transition year which is savage(slang for really good)I live in Ireland by the way,But this is a pretty easy going year where you go on a small trip a week(swimming,horseriding or whatever)and 1 long trip per month.It's generally easy going so life is good for me at the momentWe went on a trip to some adventure centre for three days recently whichwas great craic (sorry for being stereo typical).So anybody in Ireland who has the choice to do this year should do it.

Yeah I love sci-fi but it is more of a sci-fi movie fetish rather than series like the twilight zone or the outer limits.I love all the star wars movies (even episode one), the matrix and reloaded (revolutions was ok)minority report, alien , predator and much more.Don't like star trek that muchbut i'd watch it over alot of other programmes.

I think people who use this language let others know whether they arefairly new to computers so it's easy to know the veteran from the noviceso it's kinda handy for them to use that kind of talk

Well windows xp is pretty user friendly butit is a too user friendly because it is a little too easy to get past the passwords even for someone with only a fairly good knowledge of computers.
