  1. Never mind about the config file you can edit the controls for the game within its menus. Guess I over looked it I would recommend changing the controls since the default ones aren't very good.
  2. Cool, hope you like it. The screen shots are nice. Theres even an add on from the developer to make the graphics better and make them look "crisper". Although I think its in the testing phase right now. I ahven't tried the add-on yet. I've mainly jsut been testing the game. On the forum it claims a few maps have a few vehicles. I've only played on a few maps so I've haven't seen them yet. And you'll probably need to adjust your controls. You can do it in game. But if you want extra like change weapons with the mouse wheel you'll need to edit the control config file. IF your not sure how, just let me know and I'll give you the instructions.
  3. Well I was looking at some free FPS games. And since there are very few FPS game I would consider good. This one gets a 7 out of 10 from me. Its based on the CRX engine, which is based on the Id GPL source code. The graphics are pretty good for the engine. The community, while it is small (the game is only a few months old) is very friendly. The gameplay is good. Very smooth online even with dail-up. It has built in bots, 25 levels, five different game modes (Dm,CTF,etc). It has 9 different chracters to choose from and 8 diffrent guns. There is also a lot of pick ups in game. The developer of the game is very active, and he plays it so any issues with them game gets fixed much faster than you would expect. The game is open source. And for Windows and Linux. I'm thinking that if this game gets more press fromt he freeware sites and a bigger user base it might become pretty popular for freeware. Well enough of me explaining it try it out for yourself. http://red.planetarena.org/ You need to download the full game and the patch.
  4. Hmm lets see. I can't say I fully know everything about HTML I know enough to make me dangerous Currently trying to learn CSS and PHP both of them are kick my butt though lol.
  5. Thanks for the scripts. I'm for sure going to use a few of them.
  6. People have tried to stop hurricanes for many years now. And most of the ideas are pretty stupid. Peter Cordani invented Dyn-O-Mat. Which is the powder mention in this thread. He hasn't tested it yet in a hurricane. But he claims he tried it on a thunder-storm and it made it "disappear" But he did say he didn't think it would stop a hurricane but lower it maybe 10-15 MPH.
  7. Wow, and I thought I had bad luck with electronics. I have nver had a problem with my Hp all-in-one printer though. Working great for 2 years now (Knock on wood). Although Hps customer service isn't all that great. My sister bought a All-In-One Lexmar printer and well.... that thing isn't good for anything. The scanner dosen't work right. It uses ink like no tommorow. Thats even with setting the ink usage to "low". Although it prints far better pictures than my Hp though. I've always been a fan of Hp because everything I get from them seems to last for a while. I guess the most recent thing I had from them to go bad was a 8 year old monitor.
  8. Thanks for the tips. Firefox has always been slower for me than IE. I'm going to give this a try once I get home. My main problem with firefox was it is slower on displaying images. That always irritated me. On Dail-up it can be a good thing though because it loads text quicker than IE. So I would just read the text while the images loaded. On IE it loads in a uniform fashion so it takes longer to display the site since it loads from the top down. And when it comes to a site with a lot of images it could take forever and a week for it to load on dail-up through IE. Plus the features in Firefox are far better than IE, I mean IE dosen't even have tabs. Although you can get tabs for IE if you use the msn toolbar...
  9. My brother quit smoking. He did it cold turkey which seem to work well for him. If I remember right He tried the patches and gum... and well he wasted money on those. I'm currently trying to quit. I couldn't do cold turkey. So I use the cut back method. I smoke less and less each week. Once my body gets used to lets 6 ciggarettes a day I cut back to 3 or 4 a day. Currently I smoke around 1 to 2 ciggarettes a day now. And going to try to give it up for good next week.
  10. Hmm is there no way to edit a post? Anyway after rereading the first post I seen"Ricky Martin, Life (Columbia) (labeled as XCP, but, oddly, our disc had no protection)"So does that mean they put the XCP in writing visable on the disks? If so that might cover them from lawsuits maybe.
  11. Well Sony has jsut lost respect from. I do think music piracy needs to stop. But Sony came at it the wrong way. Did they not think someone would find it out? I haven't bought none of those cd's but I imagine there probably is quite a few people out there that did. Guessing people can sue for invasion of privacy of so degree? As you can tell I'm not a lawyer THey could of atleast stated it contains a root kit on the cd package some where. It didn't even have to visable without searching for it. Atleast that way the could cover themself from getting sued. With that said anyone here bought or knows some who bought one of those Cds?
  12. Wow thanks for sharing. I've been looking for something like this. I know little about it. Thats why I wanted to get my feet wet before I went off and bought a program. Right now I'm fooling around with it... I have no clue what I'm doing but going to give it a shot lol. Don't you just love learning new things so you can feel like a complete moron
  13. Ahh yes, telemarketers. This truely has to be one of the most annoying things in mylife lol. It seems they really jsut like to annoy. I use the do not call program but it seems to me that one telemarketing company still has my number But its strange they aren't even wanting to talk to me... They are looking to talk to the old residents that used to leave at my house (just moved here a month or 2 ago) Which dosen't even make since to me because my phone number shouldn't be the same as the old residents. I kindly tell the telemarketers that He/She dosen't leave here any longer. Then about a few hours later they are calling again. And sometimes I tend to get a little hatefull towards them. I wonder how much virbal abuse these guys get a day? Also makes me think they must get paid sort of good to take that virbal abuse
  14. I was just thinking about this game today. I formatted my PC a few months back and haven't downloaded it because I'm on dail-up and well 250 megs download on dail-up isn't fun But jeez what a great game. The classes are wonderful. And if killing is your thing be a medic or engineer just to help your team. Engineers building bridges etc to advance your team really is cool. Hmm, thinking about it I might ask a friend to download and burn it to a disk for me. Also there is going to be Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Sounds really interesting. Screen shots of it here. http://de.ign.com/ alexia Here is 45 screen shots of Enemy Territory as you can see the graphics are ok. Good for the time went the game was released. http://www.firingsquad.com/media/gallery_image.asp/69/1
  15. Yea, I like looking up at the sky from time to time and it certainly is a great time of the year to do so. Luckly I live away from the city so there is no lights to make it harder to see. Only thing affecting me right now is it has been cloudy lately.
