  1. I have an AMD 2000+ running at 70 degrees when the case is closed when i take off the case and am leaving open it falls to 63 degrees so i leave the case always open. you can also do something like this:you can open the case and put a normal fan in front of itin that way the temp. will drop by 5 to 10 degrees. Also you can take off the cooler from the cpu and clean the dust that it is in the cooler.the dust can make the cpu run in higher temperatures due to low air intake
  2. Notice from jlhaslip: Please list the specs of your machine inside quote tags. There is a policy about using quote tags to avoid receiving cedits for long lists which adds no value to the forum content. verbal warning only.
  3. An amd cpu like sempron 3100 runs at 1800 gh but this speed can not be compared with an intel's cpu.Amd's CPUs run much faster than thier clock speed that is recognised by the computer. When you want to compare two different cpus of intel and amd you should better compare them by using programs like Benchmark 5 e.t.c.For example an Amd CPU can be better than an INTEL's one in video proccesing but it can be worst in games to say the truth it the other way round.Furthermore an AMD's CPU has greater potentials of getting overclocked in order to achieve higher speeds.
  4. hdd0 is you main hard disk(it depends on how the hard disk are connected on the motherboard)hdd2 is your second in order hard disk
  5. General/Summary:star wars battle front is one of the best games that have been made on Ps2. It is not only fro star wars fans, it is also a great shoot em up game with heaps of different weapns and players to play as,worth paying the money for.Gameplay:THe game play is excellent, it is like an unreal tournament game, with all your favourite star wars characters, you can play as the CIS, the clones, the republic or the rebels. GREAT GAMEPLAY!Graphics:the best aspect of this game is definately the graphics, the humans are so life like, and all the cute little animals from the movies are crawling around at your feet and the look very similar to in the movies. And the cut scenes are to die for.Sound:The sound in the game are good, though it is hard to hear anything going on because the only sound that you hear are guns firing, but the sound of the guns are very real.-------------------------------------------------by arispap2003
  6. My review :General/Summary:One of the most funniest game i have played, but also the most boring. I would'nt call this a mmorpg.. When I played the WoW beta i got to lvl 8 and i loved it, it was so much fun. But at the end i felt like there was something missing. I started playing Everquest 2 for awhile and loved it even more, but after 3 months i wanted to try WoW again. Gameplay:The world is really cool, you can go anywhere you want. Every race have their own starting city which makes the world feel huge and makes it fun to explore. There are lots of fun thing you can do, but the problem is that no one want to group. You solo all the way to lvl 60 if you want, but what's the fun in that? This is a mmorpg not a singleplayer game. Tradeskill is easy and everyone can do it, find a tiger slay it and you got a new pair of boots. The quests are all the same, Kill X monsters, and there is hardly never a challenging quest. This game really feel like a job to me, login...pick a quest..grind...lvl....logout.. I tried to explore the world and kill some monsters on the way. That was fun at first, but i was leveling very slowly. Every cave i entered it looked all the same.. Some say that the fun starts at lvl 40, so should i grind and be bored for 40 levels and then have 20 levels of fun? no way! it's not worth it. The NPC's is really boring, only the one's with a ! over their head will talk to you and give you quests.Graphics:The graphics are not so good, but the cartoonish style makes it look cool. If i take the nightelfs as an example, they got like 8 face textures and 4-5 hair styles. The problem is that everyone pics the same hairstyle and often the same face because they are the only one that don't look ugly. Imo there was to much colors sometimes, i just felt like i was playing a game from Disney. I really liked the look of stormwind and ironforge.Sound:The sound is nice, the music fits perfect to the surroundings--------------------------------------------------------------------by arispap2003
  7. A good and small review of a good game (Age of Empiries III) I thing is nessesery :<<<The original Age of Empires packed a stunning visual punch and backed it up with solid gameplay. Back at a time where most strategy games were chunky and 2D, the first Age game pulled aside the curtain to reveal a world that was sunny, animated, colorful and lifelike. Strategy games were never the same. Age of Empires III presents a similar leap forward for real-time strategy fans. As Half-Life 2 did for first-person shooters, AoE III shows just how inspiring these games can be when lovingly crafted with outstanding artistry and solid gameplay fundamentals.Age of Empires III doesn't redefine real-time strategy gameplay. You're still scurrying to collect more resources than your opponents and rushing to field a giant army, and the game still rewards frantic clicking and unit management. But the presentation is unmatched, and even though the game is rooted in RTS conventions, there are enough new elements and strategic variations here to addict even grizzled veterans. If you're a fan of the genre, you owe it to yourself to check this game out. And if you've never played a real-time game before, this is the place to start.andGraphically, the engine that powers Age of Empires III has a laundry list of the latest graphics technology: real-time shadows, high dynamic range lighting, you name it. There's even bump-mapping on the barrels of the cannons. But the real impressive thing about the technology isn't that it's there, it's that you don't notice it. From the moment your Home City first appears on the menu screen, or a new map loads up to reveal pale grey waters lapping quietly against rocky New England shores, you become lost in the game world. The latest in technology is coupled with truly beautiful art.Age III pulls out all the stops to depict the sweeping majesty of the old west or the unspoiled beauty of the colonial-era Americas. One of the single-player campaign cutscenes, done in the game engine, pans across rolling hills of golden grass while huge herds of buffalo amble along like waves of water. Another level depicts a small Caribbean port picking up the pieces after a devastating hurricane, with citizens milling about amidst wrecked ships and broken docks. Yet another level has you picking your way through a dense swamp looking for the ruins of Spanish treasure ships half-buried in the mud and dripping with gold doubloons. You're never lacking for eye candy. The music is equally impressive. Done in full orchestra, it moves effortlessly from majestic scores highlighting the beauty of the landscape to pounding battle drums accenting the fury of battle.Of course, the combat is equally spectacular. The goal of the game is to devastate your opponents, and said devastation is accompanied by deeply satisfying images of destruction. A large part of this has to do with the real physics incorporated onto the game engine. You can feel the impact when a cannonball shatters into a wooden frontier building, breaking it into pieces that fly off in macabre arcs. Smoke billows from muskets, cannons leap back as they expel their fury, building spires burst into flame and collapse into themselves, and the masts of ships crash to the deck as the vessel shudders with the impact of enemy fire. Every game of Age of Empires III drips with spectacle.>>>
  8. Here is a good microreview of Xbox 360 :<<The good: All games in high-definition; excellent user-friendly Dashboard interface; built-in support for wireless controllers; excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live; backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles; doubles as superior digital media hub and Windows Media extender; $399 bundle includes key accessories. The bad: First wave of games is somewhat anemic; noisy exhaust fan; no built-in wireless networking; only three USB ports; no support for next-gen HD movie discs; no DVI or HDMI output; doesn't upscale DVDs to HD resolution; gigantic oversize power supply; price will almost certainly drop. The bottom line: While it's missing a couple of potentially important features at launch, the Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features.>>
  9. Here are some things that you must know : <<<Research on mobile phones is difficult to interpretThe jury is still out on whether mobile phones harm users' health, according to an investigation by the New Scientist. The report comes as new research is expected to show improved reaction times for people who use mobile phones.A study by the University of Bristol, to be published in the International Journal of Radiation Biology on Thursday, suggests mobile phone users have reaction times which are around 4% faster than non-users.Alan Preece, who led the research, speculates that it could be that the microwaves from the phones speed up the flow of electrical signals through a part of the brain which connects areas related to vision and language. But he does not know why they might do this and what the long-term effects might be.Nematode wormsDavid Concar of the New Scientist says other studies of mobile phones have come up with similar surprising results.Research by the University of Nottingham found that nematode worms exposed to microwaves grew 5% faster than normal. This suggested that microwaves increased cell division, leading to fears of links between mobile phones and cancer. However, David de Pomerai, who led the research, says there is no reason to panic."Exposing a nematode worm to microwaves overnight is like exposing a human continuously for an entire decade," he stated. The team are trying to figure out what causes the changes. They believe they may be related to stress.Henry Lai at the University of Washington found that rats exposed to microwaves showed signs of stress. For example, they produced natural painkillers called endorphins.Other research suggests that microwaves may impair the electrical activity of rat's brains and weaken their reactions. But David Concar says the implications are not clear because the research, by John Tattersall at the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, only looked at microwaves' effect on cells from deep within the brain.Mobile phones would be unlikely to affect brain cells at such a level, says Mr Concar.CancerOther studies have suggested mobile phones could increase the risk of cancer. But all have been difficult to substantiate. For example, an Australian study of mice which suggested microwaves from the phones increased the likelihood of developing lymphoma. But the results have been impossible to reproduce.Meanwhile, a US study found that mice exposed to microwaves for two hours a day were less likely to develop brain tumours when they were fed a cancer-causing chemical.Mr Concar says the discrepancy between studies suggests that any cancerous effect mobile phones may have is likely to be tiny. However, he adds that it is still too early to know whether the phones can cause changes to brain activity and memory. The World Health Organisation is finalising plans for the biggest ever study of mobile phones and their health effects. The $6m study, which is partly funded by mobile phone firms, will compare the mobile phone use of around 3,000 Europeans with brain tumours with a control group without tumours. However, there are concerns that the study's results will be difficult to interpret, for example, because brain tumours can take years to develop.ShieldsThe New Scientist has also investigated whether devices for shielding people from microwaves are effective. It found that performance depended on the type of phone.Hands-free mobiles were the least likely to cause radiation problems.Meanwhile, researchers at the University of Surrey are developing a smart antenna which directs microwaves away from the head. >>> (BBC news)
  10. Yes, there is possibly some small risk from using mobile phones. It is vastly lower than the risks from smoking, driving or crossing the road, and probably significantly lower than the risk from TVs and TV transmitters. After many years of research, there is still no clear proof of any risk at all. Statistics show that you are more likely to win a lottery jackpot, be struck by lightning, or even spontaneously combust than you are to be damaged by using a mobile phone! You are very likely to injure yourself as a result of tripping over the wire loop of a fixed phone(!). This is a frequent cause of accidents!!It may seem that mobile phones cause negligible radiation in comparison to microwave ovens but a simple calculation will show you the opposite. If you talk on the cellular phone just one hour a day the whole radiation is as follows:1 hr a day x 365 days a year = 365 hours365 hours x 3 watts = 1095 watts1095 watts x 10 years = 10950 watts!!!10.000 watts radiation of cellular phone (ten times more powerfull than microwaves ovens) is as if you would put your head in a microwaves oven. You can imagine what would happen to you... you would burn like a sausage. Cell phone can do biological damage through heating effects >>>> This causes: headaches, earaches, blurring of vision, short-term memory loss, numbing, tingling, and burning sensations, bad sleep. And my certain answer is::::::::I was in charge of a research one year before. The results was 50-50I mean that if you have a mobile with Bluetooth then you have bigger problem than when you call somebody. It is also another microwaves than they haven't passed from your mind : the WLAN (g and b protocols)So the general result was : the mobile has the less radio from any other things in your home.......
  11. First of all i would like to inform that the server has got some several problemsbecause when i tried to add a new topic i see a message with server error or something like that .By the way I like the movies which has suspence and show .For example the lord of the rings or the matrix had special effects then you can say that the guys did good work , they have passed the first and they exploit the benefits of our days. good work.arispap2003
  12. I suggest not to use frames because of their properties. I mean that if you want to move your site to another host maybe some add ons will destroy your page 100%....I have a special experiance on unlucky things...Try to use layer on your page with JavaScript ......Good luckarispap2003
