Huh? The tabs work in Firefox 2... And you mean ALPHA. Minefield isn't BETA yet. Also, I don't recommend Minefield for regular browsing. The tiny extra features aren't worth the many bugs that come packaged inside that thing, and most good extensions aren't compatible with it. I know there's a way to disable compatibility check, but it still isn't worth it.

Yea, I have a new one, but it would be better if I had that one working. And I know it isn't speed related because it's only 1 brand that it burns to.Thanks for the help, but I think xboxrulz might be right.

I have a Samsung RW CD burner in my desktop. The model number is too hard to get right now, but I'll get it later.Anyways... The problem is that it will only burn to one type of CD... a cheapo, slow, 4X CD.I've tried official Samsung CDs, many different burning programs, and I've even tried updating the firmware.Any help?

The Palm T|X is affordable and has decent features. It has all those features except a camera, a phone, or a GPS. There are also some decent emulators for it.But remember, only use an emulator if you already own the actual game AND console.

Yea, to not sound like a know-it-all, I didn't really know any of those version numbers, I only knew Vista was still built from NT. I can't wait to see if Microsoft does something right with Vienna.

The only thing I can recommend is the Steam built-in messenger. Xfire isn't an option because it is known to cause massive FPS drops and errors. I stopped using it long ago.

Whoa... my ISP sells decent Dial-Up for about $8.00 USD per month. My dad works at my ISP, so I get about 10Mb download and .8Mb upload for free. That's higher than their highest plane.

CCleaner is a very nice program. The name isn't that professional, but it sure is useful. I've used it many times before. The best thing about it is that it isn't annoying at all. Nothing running in the background, no random notices, and it only asks you to update when you start it. After running it, you can definitely feel a difference is speed.I give CCleaner a 4.9/5 for the unprofessional name. (5/5 would be perfect, so 4.9 seems more suitable of a rating.)

I disagree. It's still the same structure as Windows XP. The completely rewritten Windows will be "Vienna". I have Vista, but only because Half-Life 2 based games will only work in Vista on my laptop, and because I might get Halo 2 for PC later. Between the 2, I prefer Windows XP, but out of all OSes, I think PCLinuxOS could very possibly be the best.

What's with the spoiler-hiding black things? It's not like Master Chief is a secret...But... I only have Halo 1, and I'd have to say the Needler is the best. I like it because it's rapid fire, it has exploding bullets, and it's auto-guided.My favorite character is Cortona... she is a bad... yea... I mean, how cool is it that she's a holographic AI that mimics human personality flawlessly?

I recommend PCLinuxOS, it's free, easy, and it is loaded down with features. It has that previously mentioned graphical package manager, Synaptic. It also comes with Firefox pre-installed. I would be using it right now, but my laptop hates Linux

I think it all really depends on what kind of situation you are in.If you have the ability to buy IPB, then do so, but if not, go with phpBB.

I saw spellcheck (Wow... It's saying spellcheck is misspelled, how ironic.) coming in the alpha version, Minefield. It is a very nice feature and it's somewhat of a coincidence that I was just thinking about it before I saw this thread

But, more on that later :rolleyes:I've been a member of, ran, and owned many different forums. I've been administrator for a host and moderator for 2 others. As you can tell, I have a little bit of experience with these things.So, now I hope to become an active member of this nice looking community and get some hosting for my idea-of-a-website.
