ya, but to use mysql you need a bit of php knowlege as well. And i personally find php kinda advanced and frustrating lol

Ya i'm dualbooting windows and linux right now and i find myself using windows more because i like my games

ya just make sure you are very organized and get a good group of starting members. you should be fine from tehre. oh and use vent or teamspeak works great to bring the team together.

I personally love conuterstrike:source. For the footsteps i dont know what i would do without them people would sneek up on u all the time. and the buy menu i dont even use before. Just get a buy script that binds the weaps and other stuff u need to ur number pad lots faster

I play source alot, but i got addicted and my parents got mad and now i cant play as much great game tho but once u get competitive it takes up alot of time

I love ubuntu to bad it doesnt work with my computer very well =( so i'm using linux mint instead wich is based of ubuntu its a great distro also. Its all about trying a bunch out. I have to agree with polar kde is way better than gnome looks so much nicer

great beginner tutorial i would also suggest that people go out and buy a book i find that one of the best ways to learn the language.

the gimp is good, but the layout of it bugs me probally because i'm used to photoshop

If i could play my computer games on it (so i guess talkin more desktop here) i would give mac a shot, but since most games only work on windows, and now with all this games for windwos *BLEEP* comming out i guess i have to stick to windows. this is my same problem w/ linux

heres what i find a bit amusing. the 16GB ipod touch goes for more money that the 160BG ipod classic. Thats is 10X the size for less money. Does a touch screen really matter that much? Seeing i would never need 160GB of storage on an ipod i could go to 80GB or whatever the next lowest is and save even more money. lol could you be any more ridiculous for buying an ipod touch?

Ok i have not tried vista and dont plan to anytime soon. I here it is still kinda buggy and not much better than xp so why waste my money? I have also tried linux and i LOVE it excpt for one small thing... i cant play my games =(. I know that it is possible by using cedega, or wine but its still not as smooth as running them on windows so looks like i cant drop windows yet. Also some1 mentioned open office. I agree open office is great, but i dont know if it completly out does microsoft office i think that they are more or less the same and i know my way around microsoft offices stuff a bit better so i guess i stick to that too.

Ok as people have mentioned already that if its for a group a forums system/message board is a great idea and i strongly recommend SMF as a free one, you can download it at http://www.simplemachines.org/. If you want more features to add to that to make it more like a webpage and less of just a forum you can download tinyportal wich is a portal software that adds many features to smf. Now if you want to make more advanced websites in the future i strongly recommend LEARNING html, xhtml, css to start then after you have that down look into php, javascript, and other programing languages. Dreamweaver works great but i personally perfer to code my sites from scratch, even tho they dont always turn out that great i learn to know why somthing is wrong... well good luck with you website creation

who would pay for someone to play a game for them. I do NOT play wow, not really my type of game and i dont entirely agree with paying to play a game in general. But the idea of paying someone to play a game for you is outrageous. But might be a fun job hmmmm lol well thats my oppinion on this.
