What Office Suite Do You Use On You Mac?
rockershive replied to jedipi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I want to install Office Mac 2004 on my Mac 10.4.7 but i cannot install it at all. Word, Excel, Entourage, and PowerPoint icons has 'exec' on it, this must be a Windows executable file. I'm a bit confused here, I cannot find the 'Office Setup Assistant'... -
I Hear A Sound Inside My System Unit. Somethings wrong with my pc.
rockershive replied to kxrain's topic in Hardware Workshop
Check if there are loosen screws inside the system. Screws might be tight enough to hold the devices for a long time. for example, hard disks vibrate hard and fast each time you use your computer, cooling fans vibrate too. -
More people prefer iPod than Zune, the reason is that iPod has established it's product brand in the market more than the Zune. When a person come to think of buying a mobile gadget it's in his mindset that iPod will be his pick, and maybe majority of us as well. Not to mention the overwhelming product awareness which Apple has done to iPod, in fairness to Microsoft on its Zune. iPod has become a 'norm' or 'standard' when comparing these kinds of gadget. I witnessed a Toshiba user (Toshiba has had a product like an iPod) who came to a computer shop to have his gadget loaded with mp3's and talk to the technician in charged, "Man, can you load mp3 songs into my iPod -this is a 40Gb one." And the person in charged answered, "Yes sir, no problem. What is that iPod, what's the brand name?"

I am using the AVG Free Edition. It takes care of my system, especially when enter 'illegitimate' sites. I don't have the complete package protection from AVG coz it's quite expensive. But the Free Edition assures me of unwanted and harmful threats in the Internet. -

There is no doubt Firefox is the best! I am using Mozilla Firefox for 2 years already and all I can say is that Firefox is fast, reliable, and safe. That's most people say on the Internet! You've got lots of Add-ons for Firefox -especially security Add-ons. Mozilla has just updated it's Firefox version to 2.0.0.7, update now!

Speed Up Your Connection In Windows XP
rockershive replied to soleimanian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey, how do you 'tune up' your emule...it takes a month to download a 700MB movie -AVI format. I put my TCP port to 46089 and UDP port 8239. With 'no download limits' set up and 23kbps upload speed. The movie has 43 sources. I got 1Mbps broadband connection. Anything you can suggest, it's very annoying! The downloads are not consistent, it starts for 5 mins and it's gone again, and start again.... -
I agree with you. I think I should never give Google a 10, that would mean perfect. Yahoo's far more better I think in different aspect. Who was first to appear on the Web?... Why won't we try Microsoft's Windows Live?

Protecting The User From Visiting Some Websites
rockershive replied to mortalmatt's topic in Search Engines
In order to have additional security protection from phishing websites I use Phishing Blaster, you must update it regularly. Phishing Blaster is bundled with WEB Protection and E-MAIL Protection which are hassle free -just set it up, automatically runs every time you boot up your PC. -

rockershive replied to kerouac's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I am just so curious, I have not tried both PCBSD anf FREE BSD. How does it differ in the 'visual' way? Which is more preferrable? Does PCBSD looks and feels good than FREE BSD? -

Somebody here already played Crysis Game? Really good! Look at the graphics very high quality, but requires high-end hardware though.
