  1. Ohh... I actually didn't know you could do that! I would have done it if I had known. Sorry!
  2. While it lasted, Animal Crossing was a fun game. Here's my review: Pros: You don't have to play every single day, because it lets you reset the date and time. If you don't play for a month, you can go back in time so your animal friends won't hate you and wonder where you've been. You can play with your friends who also have Animal Crossing. It's a pretty addicting game for the first while. You can make cool designs with your gameboy or in the game at the Able Sisters. The game makes good use of the gameboy, I think. When you reset the game without saving, you get Resetti yelling at you when you come back. It's hilarious! If you're all about winning, cheats are all over the internet for you. This game is VERY easy to win with cheats! It ALMOST seems like a real town with all the events and happenings. Cons: The main point of the game is flawed. You have to get money to pay off your rent to Tom Nook. But the only way to get the money (besides cheats and getting really lucky at games with your neighbors) is to sell things to Tom Nook! It's like a cycle. You sell Tom Nook an item, you get money, you pay off your house, he gets money, you want a bigger house, you sell something else to Nook, you get money, you pay off your house, he gets money. YOU SEE?! IT MAKES NO SENSE!! Whenever you write a letter to a person, even if you say the sweetest thing in the world, they can take it as an insult. Only one person can play at a time, so unless you have two gamecubes, when your friend comes over to play Animal Crossing in each other's town, one of you will be bored. The game can last FOREVER and when you finally beat it, all you get is a stupid statue in front of the train station. When you first start out, doing work for Nook can be a PAIN. When you do jobs for other animals, THEY can be a PAIN! The jobs can last FOREVER because some animal lent it to another animal, who lost it at this other animal's house, who found it and gave it to the wrong animal, who took it and also lost it, and this animal found it and gave it as a gift to the next animal, who now has it. See how careless your fellow citizens are? Unless your town is very convenient as far as the terrain goes and where places are, you're going to hate running errands and going to events. Sure, your character never gets tired, but your thumbs will. It's a very fun game, despite the cons. Especially when you don't think about them! I rate the game 8 stars of 10.
  3. Here's a funny beggar story. When I visited Paris with People to People, there were a lot of Muslim looking women who ALL asked the same question. "Do you speak English?" If you said "Yes", they would hand you a piece of paper with a sad story written in English so you would feel sorry for them and their made up life and donate money to them. One was about how her brother had died and now their family was somehow poorer. That doesn't make sense to me... how could one less mouth to feed make a family ever more poor? Anyway, we all knew they were fakes. Here's the funny part though. Once, a woman came up asking the question while we were having a conversation... IN ENGLISH! One of my friends said, "Uh... no hablo ingles." in his very real sounding Mexican accent. And she responded in Spanish. We were like, "Oh, crap..." and we just had to walk away cause we had run out of non English languages. I could've done some German, but I didn't feel like it. She probably knew that language too.
  4. Create an Animation With Powerpoint Get your idea for the animation. Estimate how long this story will take you and how many slides it will be and see if you still feel like doing it. If you still want to try, create the layout for the first scene. Draw whatever background is necessary for your story. Create/Draw the character(s). For the second slide, you don't have to redraw the whole thing. Just duplicate the slide and move whatever needs to be moved for the desired animation! Continue duplicating and repeating these steps for however many scenes you have. Watch your animation often to make sure it is exactly the way you want it and you didn't mess up somewhere. Watch it by holding down the space bar or the right arrow key. You will see each frame in succession. (If you have a slow computer, it may look choppy. Choppy animations can be fixed later though. If your computer is very fast, you might want to add extra frames so you can read any text you might have your characters saying and it won't look like everything is rushed.) When it is done, call your family into the room to marvel at your work! If you just want to leave it at that, fine. If you want it on Youtube, however, you can download "Cam Studio". Cam Studio records your computer screen and it can ever record sound! If you have a webcam, the sound recording feature can be very useful! Tell Cam Studio to start recording then click "View Slideshow". Then play your slideshow animation by holding the spacebar until it is done, then stop recording. If you want your characters to have voices, you can set Cam Studio to record the sound from your webcam. When the animation is over, stop recording and wait for Cam Studio to process it. Ones with sound will take a little longer. Watch and edit it. You can edit out the part where you are clicking "View Slideshow" and the black screen when it is over. Also if your animation was super fast, you can slow it down. You don't need a complex multi-million dollar movie editor for this. You can use Windows Movie Maker, which is what I did. Then you can put it on Youtube for all to see! If yours is especially long, you can upload it to Google, which is what I did with one of my extremely long ones. Here it is by the way, if you want an example: http://static.googleusercontent.com/media/video.google.com/en//googleplayer.swf?d=en&fs=true It is an animation about British Slang that I did for my People to People project. Enjoy!
  5. I've made a number of Jeopardy games for class with powerpoint and everyone always absolutely loves them. Unless there's some kind of coding I don't know about for Powerpoint, I can't imagine making tic tac toe or anything where Powerpoint would have to remember things like where Player One put their X and where Player Two put two Os. With Powerpoint, I can't imagine making anything more complicated than a Jeopardy game, a Choose Your Own Adventure game, a comic strip/slide story, an animation (I'll explain how to do these), or a drawing game (I'll explain this too, although it is much less complicated). Create a Drawing Game With Powerpoint This is all too simple. All you really need is one slide and a pretty background for people to draw on, but that part is optional. After you have ONE SLIDE just click "View Slideshow" and go to the bottom left corner and select a drawing utensil. DRAW YOUR HEART OUT!
  6. Won't being too close to a screen for so long damage your eyes? I mean, you can't be 5 feet from the screen and still touch it.
  7. Ohh, that meas sence. Otherwise... that WOULD get really crazy!! Zoho is free (the majority of it is, at least) so I think I might check it out a little more sometime. My Microsoft Office trial ran out about two weeks ago. Thanks!
  8. HAPPY CANADA DAY! HAPPY CANADA DAY! HAPPY CANADA DAY! OH NO! I MISSED CANADA DAY!! Well, I kind of had my own celebration going on (My dad's birthday) but next year, I will not forget!! HAPPY CANADA DAY! HAPPY CANADA DAY! HAPPY CANADA DAY!
  9. OK, I've heard about the new car that uses water for fuel instead of gas, and I think it's a great idea. It's just that... it releases water vapor into the air, I believe, and won't that cause it to rain a lot? It could quite possibly drown us all!! So I have a modification to this car that could possibly make it a little better.Alright... this invention would use the same concept as the water vapor making car, only it also cleans the water making it able to be drunk by who ever is in the car. This car uses dirty water, salt water, contaminated water, tap water, or whatever kind of water you want it to use. The engine gets its power from the water purifier inside the car that cleans the water and the energy from it powers the engine and runs the car. The purified water is shot up through a tube into the seating area inside the car into a water cooler like jug. Then the driver of the car may enjoy a nice drink of water while he or she drives! One other thing. What happens to the contamination from the water after it is cleaned? This is what happens to the contamination from the water after it is cleaned. It could be sent to its own chamber to be burned for more fuel! Although, that would mean the smoke would have to come out of the car and into the air and up to the o-zone eventually, which is definitely not what we want. Perhaps the contamination bits are just thrown away? Not exactly sure how we'd get rid of it in an efficient way... If you have an idea for it, please post it here and we can discuss it!This car may help solve a lot of problems. The gas shortage and terribly high price problem, the dirty, polluted water problem, and most importantly... drivers could get a nice drink whenever they needed it!If you find any flaws with my car invention, please post them here! Also, tell me how you liked it, if it was too complex, too simple, or whatever you can find wrong with it!!
  10. I live in America, and while we were studying the Cold War this year, I was wondering why America was interfering so much with other governments... And honestly I thought it wouldn't have been a problem to leave the other countries alone. We kind of had a few unnecessary wars (by the way, we're only 400 years old and we've probably gotten into more wars than a lot of older countries combined!!!) because we wanted everywhere to be like America. There would be no culture then! These are the views of a 14 year old that probably doesn't fully understand whatever we're talking about!! Please don't yell at her if she doesn't completely understand!!
  11. I remember seeing a math equation that confirmed money was the root of all evil...
  12. This looks like a really, really awesome thing! I would like to try it... Where can I download it? Does anyone have the link?
  13. Yep, thanks for leaving that thread here. I too may need a WAV editor. I hope I know how to use it and that it's free. Thanks!
