  1. What are the methods from the "Time" class in the RPG Maker XP. Is it native from Ruby? Since it's not open for editing, I don't now what are the methods I can use with it. What are the options I have for "comparing dates" there?
  2. I'm have already switched back to SuSE 10.0, just because ZSnes didn't run on 10.1, but I can use the 10.1 DVD as a source to install and update some packages. But now with the APT running and well, I guess I'll not use the YaST to install thing anymore .
  3. It sholdn't be called "web host", but "crazy host". Too much expensive for nothing!! LOL
  4. Well, I've researched a lot, and found out that newer ( >= 10.0) versions of SuSE does not have great repositories as the older versions. And I've installed the version 10.1 and it even doens't have APT anymore in the distro packages. The packages will be maintained mainly by Four4s, YPM and YOU.
  5. Well, you sure helped me out. So SuSE is more powerful using the "old and good debian like APT" ? Then, what the heck happened to the YaST ?? I've got some server, but they seem not to attend my needs due to constant dependency problems. If you say that APT is ruling over SuSE too, then I can use the front-ends (APTITUDE and Synaptic) as well, right? Well, you seem to know a lot about linux too, then answer my question: Was the APT system developed by the Debian team or not?? And how can I have PostgreSQL working properly under SuSE ??
  6. Then I not a lucky one... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  7. !! It's for SuSE users !! Which are the best repositories for Yum and YaST on SuSE ?? Where can I find a repositorie with A LOT of LIBS that are needed commonly ? Is there a repository with packages such as PostgreSQL, PHP5, Mplayer, Lame, DVD::RIP, and many other apps for SuSE ? Are those rpm for Fedora compatible with SuSE ? And what about Mandrake RPMs ?
  8. How can I install PostgreSQL onto an Open SuSE 10.0 ? And after install, how can I put a daemon to run (like mysqld) ?? I tried to install it here using those fedora-core 5 rpms from the PostgreSQL official website, then got dependencie problems like that "libpam", that I already had it in "/lib" dir, then installed with "--nodeps" option. Now I'm getting this error: postmaster: /lib/libpam.so.0: no version information available (required by postmaster) Is there any other way to install this junk more easily ? What about from source ?? Isn't there any YaST or Yum repositories ??? HELP!!!
  9. try out running: "postgres". if you got errors, then report then here. Anyway, what is you distribution? I'm trying to make this junk work under Open SuSE 10.0, but without luck.
  10. Well, in the main page, they say that it supports JSP pages. Well, this is the main reason that I have come to here. If it can't, then I guess I'll have to find another Free Java Server.

  12. Currently playing "Dragon Quest V" on ZSNES with the DeJAP patch!! Nice game! I have a Slime Knight in my group !
  13. Never played the Windwaker, but have seem it many times, and I liked it! But the version of my life is the classic "A Link To The Past", and the "Link's Awakening" is very good too! What about that Minish Cap?
  14. The SNES version ever! Nice grafics, and the soundtrack is cool too!
  15. And how can I install the version 7 of the IE ? On a Open SuSE 10.0 box, please!
  16. Well, I'm don't recomend SuSE this much to beginners, but the YaST tool sure is a "blast in the bucket" !! There is many other more "beginner like" distro. The only tool that can be compared to YaST is the APT tool from Debian. Right now I'm on Open SuSE 10.0 in the WindowMaker manager.
  17. Never tested the Vista, but Windows XP with SP2 is the best way to have a safe place to work. And I do remember the old days I used to spend in Windows 3.1, I was only 9 those days! Kept all day long playing in the PBrush and other strange apps.
  18. It works!! Nice!! I put my "Start" to "Sleep", because my start menu is taking too much time to appear!!
  19. I would recomend Kubuntu, wich has the KDE interface. If not, get SuSE and configure your YaST system to the mirrors, it can help you install some junky libs.
  20. I've moved to linux because it has lots of applications beign developed exclusively to it. But the main reason is that I am too curious with OS and its capabilities. Then I just can't use the WInXP anymore, because of the VIRUS and SPYWARE problems. You can't open anything safely in a Windows system. Right now I'm using Open SuSE 10.0. I were using Debian 3.1 Sarge, and Slackware 10.2. Disliked Debian, but still, my main option is the Slackware. But I'm getting along well with this SuSE.
  21. Well, it would be a really curious thing to make an OS in JAVA. I've heard about one being developed, but it is still too cold. I guess that lately we do not need more OS than MAC, WIN and *NUX, since all the software developed these days are for those three main OS s. But if you do so, you have to make it with a few ready software like an "office" package, a subtitle editor, a video player compatilble with all know codecs, a audio player that is good enough to handle mass of files, just to name a few. An OS sure means "LOTTA WORK TO DO".
  22. Menuet OS really is nice! So small and cool. But there are some Linux on Floppy too!
  23. Yeah!!! It can't!! You said so: they could develop an option to compile firefox using qt!! Also, I'm using that junk thing that enables gtk apps to use the QT theme (not so cool as qt. things like those keramik animated progress bar aren't animated!! ). But still is somewhat slow aside of an pure qt app.
  24. Really amazing! Maybe it can be improved using AJAX!! Isen't there a windowmaker version ???
