  1. I use Photobucket for my pictures as well. I've just logged into my account to find that they now host videos too (by the looks of it). It could become quite useful although I don't really need to host any videos at the moment.Although Photobucket is suited to my needs, I don't like fact that it decides to resize any image over 1MB as this ends up leaving many images in bad quality.
  2. Very good work, they must have taken you hours to complete. I'd never be able to dedicate myself to something for that long. I have no idea about 3D modelling but you definately have a lot of experience of it.
  3. I don't use P2P programs anymore, my computer is always getting the same virus on it whenever I use one. The first one I used was Kazaa, and that had a lot of bugs and imcomplete and/or missing files. Then I used Limewire, which worked pretty well although I can't remember why I stopped using it. After that I started to use Morpheus which offered quite high speed downloads but also tends to send you viruses.
  4. Wow, that's a lot of space. I don't think I would need that much space, ever. That's about ten times my present amount of storage space. It would be really useful for businesses I guess, what with all the documents they need to store. Does anyone even have 10,000 audio CDs? But with the new technology that is being invented everyday, 750GB hard disks could become a necessity. Also, nice find Roggle, I loved the flash -- very amusing.
  5. I agree with blogging too. Although I have never been able to keep a steady blog, the ones I have read have been everything from tragic to entertaining. Blogs can provide us with something that can keep us amused for a little while or even up to a few years and it's always interesting to read about what's going on in the world and what the writer's views on it are.Blogging can also be a way for someone to express their feelings annoymously, where as with a diary everyone knows exactly who wrote it. If someone needs help with an embarassing situation, they can talk about it on a blog and receive help and advice from people that they don't know. This could also be bad though as these people could only just get one side of the story.
  6. I got The Sims 2 quite a while ago, and have only just recently got the expansion pack, Open For Business. I love the better community based around The Sims 2, where you can share almost all of your playing experience in the form of downloads, stories and movies. The Sims 2 is much more realistic than The Sims which adds to its quality of gameplay. I like the fact that Sims are much more aware of their surroundings (especially when there's an "accidental" fire ) and are much less "stiff", for example, when two Sims are sleeping in the same bed they wont just lie on their backs, snoring like chainsaws, they'll cuddle one another instead.Open For Business, however, has added a whole new way to play The Sims 2, with Sims being able to own community lots and run home businesses. Plus, you can choose how they run these businesses with great detail, which is what I like about it. Overall, The Sims 2 is a great game but it's always nice to take breaks from it once in a while.
  7. Tibia was probably the first MMORPG that I played. But eventually I got bored of it (and I never even got out of the first island ) and started to look at others instead.Good list you've put together DefCrash, I liked the look of Survival Project (I'm a huge fan of anime ) and I'm off to try it out now.
  8. I'm currently playing Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2 for the PS2, it's pretty good even though I was expecting it to have a storyline -- I never realised it was an online game until a week after playing it. Too bad I don't have an Internet connection for the PS2, it would be nice to see how good Capcom's online gaming ideas are. My brother's got Fable: The Lost Chapters on the Xbox, so I might play that in a while. From what I've seen, it's looks like a pretty good game. Also, I'm a huge fan of the RPGs.
  9. Great tutorial Mik, very helpful. Like Burgin, I'm a beginner at web designing too and your tutorial provided me with the information I need to design a great website. One thing though, the link you provided for the colour schemes (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) does not work anymore. A updated link would be greatly appriciated. Well done again.
  10. Nice idea, although I probably wouldn't use it I'm sure there are many people that would benefit from this (such as people with sight problems). I like the fact that you can change how much it magnifies the text or whatever's underneath it. $329 is a bit too pricey for me though.
  11. I'd like to create my own designs from stratch as you receive more sense of accomplishment and orginality but I'm still learning so they don't come out as I expected them to. Instead, I go for pre-designed templates/layouts and, if possible, redesign them to my liking although I'm looking more into designing them for myself now.
  12. I prefer Verdana and Tahoma on webpages as they look nice without being too hard on the reader's eyes. Comic Sans MS doesn't bother me too much, but I can't stand the really over-the-top fonts (especially on webpages) that try to create pictures out of the letters so you can't read nor understand what has been written, unless you copy and paste it into Word and then change the font to something you can read -- but I'm too lazy to do that. As for the size of text, I don't like really large font (except for titles and headings) but I don't like really small font either, although I'm more likely to read a webpage with small font than I am large font. That being said, I prefer a balance inbetween.Another thing I can't stand about fonts, is the colour combinations. Text that is written on a dark background with a slightly lighter font is almost impossible to read, as is a white background with almost white text.
  13. This seems like a good idea, but there are some things about it that just don't fit. For one, it appears like a more lazy way to search. The keyboard is right infront of you so why not use it? Also, how accurate would it be? Something you say could come out as something completely different, especially when using accents and speech problems. But there are some good points too, like what HellFire121 mentioned about people who need to search for something while already typing something. It also offers better searching for people with typing problems and the like.I did like the idea of searching for sound files and music tracks that Vizskywalker was talking about, I think that would be quite useful.
  14. This seems like a very useful tool. I especially like the "Duplicate Check" tool which, from what I've seen, appears quite accurate. Nice find Sid.Calcutta
  15. I completely agree with being homosexual, it's up to the person themself to choose who they're "with" and that choice shouldn't affect their existing relationships in any way.Two of my friends and me were discussing homosexuality the other day and we all agreed that everyone's free to be with who they want and not who anyone else wants them to (that was including my Christian friend whose religion frowns upon homosexuality, according to her -- I have no knowledge of the Christian religion so excuse me if I'm wrong). I then asked my Christian friend why homosexuality was frowned upon in her religion and she told me, "because God created women for men and men for women." Now, I can see where she is coming from but Adam and Eves' purpose was to populate the Earth (or so I think) so it would make sense to create a woman and a man because there isn't a way for a man and a man or a woman and a woman to reproduce. That being said, God could have created mankind to be able to reproduce across the same gender.I don't agree with a person's religion choosing their sexuality for them as it leave the person with a religious dilemma if they do discover that they are homosexual.I do agree with MajesticTreeFrog though, about how our sexuality may have already been chosen for us before we are born but how we deal with that sexuality is a personal choice and should not be controlled by anyone, government, religion or otherwise.
