From what I've seen ATI starts to kill on higher resolutions. Nvidia is head to head or leads in lower resolutions but the higher you go the further behind Nvidia gets. And the point to video cards is higher resolutions/better graphics right? I would go with ATI. Personally there was one thing that made me hate Nvidia. I forget when it was but ATI came out with a new card and Nvidia responded by overclocking one of their old cards. Then they sold the damn thing for like $100 more when it just had a bigger heat sink on it. Nvidia ended up losing the high resolution benchmarks again anyway. But I have known people who buy certain model Nvidia cards and overclock them. They seemed pretty happy but I figure you could do the same with ATI. You can go check out a program called ATITool but don’t break or burn your video card.

Don't Overclock Your Notebook! instead, down-volt it

Errrmmm... I didn't read the instructions but most new laptops come with features for this type of thing... -
Bah with all of that. If your gonna do something I say go all out. Damn it, what socket is that processor? Half of em have 462 pins and the other half has 754. Well if it's socket 754... http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ Lol that might be a little too much for the normal user but maybe you should get a new one if the old one is giving you trouble. Hmmmm... Maybe it's just the fan that broke. You could take off the old fan and replace it with a high rpm fan. If the thing still gives you trouble you could keep the new fan and get a new heat sink to match it. I think that's the best advice I can give without being there.

What Is The Best RPG You Have Ever Played RPG=role playing game

Mario RPG!!! -
I'm not going to read through all five pages but there is no better. It all depends on price vs performance and you have to compare too much. Intel wins some and AMD wins some. It all depends on what you are using and how your computer is configured.

You have AGP don't you... If only you had PCI Express noooo... http://imptestrm.com/rg-erdr.php?_dnm=www.zipzoomfly.com&_cfrg=1&_drid=as-drid-2300300503455222 For christ sake under $100 come on. You got to give me more to work with. If you had $121 you could get a Doom 3 worthy video card so don't be cheap. Save up $21 more dollars and get this. $118 + $3 shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Common/MessagePage.aspx?MsgCode=-1&ID=89 That is so cheap and good. Better than my video card and way better than the cards your considering. Even I'm considering getting that...

Easy way to find out stuff like this is to just hit up google. You can type in define:whatever. So... If I wanted to know what the definition for wsxga was I could type define:wsxga in the search bar at google. If you have a google toolbar or firefox it makes it even easier.

Couldn't find an edit button so I had to make another post... I'm just wondering what 64 bit gaming will do to 32 bit consoles... I think PC technology is just moving too fast for consoles... Kind of sad... I don't even like consoles anymore but it will be sad if they die...

Bittorrent Received $8.75 Million Support
ArmTheMob replied to jedipi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Bah with you. I've had it with Azureus. That unstable piece of... Thing would freeze or completely crash all the time. I use BitComet now and it's seems to be much more reliable. I have to admit that prolonged usage lags my computer but Azureus was much worse... As for private BitTorrent, I dunno the article is no longer available! Replacement link...... http://news.softpedia.com/news/BitTorrent-Gets-8-75-Million-to-Become-Legal-9469.shtml According to that BitTorrent was responsible for 30% of internet traffic in 2004 LOL! I figure the official version will be die on arrival and people will stick to the old version until another version comes out. Probably something like Kazaa Lite except it will remove regulations instead of spyware. -
For total nonsense try this... http://ww2.widowpc.com/rg-erdr.php?_rpo=t

I think the one thing I'll really miss is getting together with everyone. That was the one thing that the console was really good at. Multiplayer in the same room with a bunch of controllers. As far as emulators go you can do that with a computer but most new PC games require your friends to have another computer and LAN parties seem so overkill. I don't think me and my friends would ever do that... Maybe one day computer games will have better controller support and multiplayer. Who knows?I am considering a console but I'm not too sure. If it's good enough I might get it. The only problem is that I'm losing interest in them so I might opt for a modded console. Games cost so much and let’s face it, you don't have to pay for anything on a computer these days. The price of your console will skyrocket over a computer soon enough.Kind of off subject but there is another thing I like about computers. Dual monitors. It’s so crazy to be playing a game on one monitor and watching a show on the other. If you never tried it and you have a good enough video card you gotta do it. And don't worry, this isn't like drugs. You won’t regret it later.

I'm not too into it... The price is going to kill you too... I've also read reviews that said the x700 is more for mobility and isn't too good for performance. They said that it wasn't even good enough for full settings on Doom 3. If you’re going to dent your wallet it would probably be better to get something with an x800 or the Nvidia 7800 with raid 0. I think I've seen a few sites that offered those options but those were even more expensive. But I figure if you are going to blow you money you might as well go all out.

For the first time I think I might give up on consoles. I'm wondering if the new consoles will really be all that great. I'm not buying the hype. Think it will really be all that great? I remember before when consoles used to be state of the art. They always used to seem so amazing and cool. Remember the Super Nintendo days? These days they are starting to seem like mini custom computers. It sucks. I would rather get a computer with better performance than the console. I know you probably can't compete with their processing power but the loading and graphics can definitely be better. I think the day of the console might be dead for me...

You think that's insane? There is another company making holographic terabyte discs. The write and read speeds are insane. I figure it's because it reads multiple layers at the same time. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I think PC magazine said they might be going to go up to something like 1.6 terabytes. Can't wait for Blueray though. I'll be glad to get rid of all the junk on my hard drive. I could burn it to normal DVDs but I have so much video and it will take so long... It would be really convenient to stick everything on one disc. You could start burning and just walk away. It might be a pain to label 50 gigabytes of data on the front of one disc though...
