The images are quite blurry… It seems as if they were smaller and you resized them, thus loosing some of their quality. I have to agree that what the other said was true. Sharper images would look quite better! I like the themes you chose, yet apart from the photographs you could add something more personal in those pictures! Something that will be your very own signature.

Hello, everyone! I'm dragong, yet another newbie, this one from Greece. I love living in front of my computer, and drawing (my two major hobbies/obsessions). I found this site while searching for webhosting and I liked the idea of forums with helpful tips about computer stuff. I recently started working with HTML, (not much experience in this area until now) and I've already found some helpful topics around here. And as usually I took a long tour around before posting in the welcome area... ahem. Mostly staying in the graphics section. Although I'm not very familiar with HTML I adore making graphics and the contributing to the esthetic part of a site! Anyway, it's good to be here!

Piano constructive criticism please?
dragong replied to iamrockandroll13's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I like it very much. One think you might want to keep in mind is that it’s better to offer the whole of the object in the picture and not cutting a little part if it’s in the edge. Other than that, very good job. I live the bright colors you chose. -
Yes, a life without a computer would be a life without oxygen.. Pathetic, huh?I mostly use my computer to draw and play games and, of course, for internet access. With that order. Drawing is essential to me, so it’s drawing programs I cannot live without. I have grown a little tired of gaming those past few months, so internet will come to second place of my PC priorities. However I can get internet out of home too, but it’s a little hard to draw or play anything when I’m not comfortable at home.

My First Portrait ...so be gentle with it :-P
dragong replied to Herbert1405241469's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Well the smudge tool is a powerful weapon if used correctly and you’re using it pretty good yourself. It’s a great portrait and it’s impressive given that it’s your first. As for constructive criticism, you might try to add some highlights on her hair, for a start. That will seem more natural and even if the original photo didn’t have any, this is art, meaning that the image should be more vivid than in photography. The shading is very good over all. However, when it comes to the face’s outline, it’s not very well defined and quite blurry itself. You might want to keep that in mind in the future! Maybe use the smudge tool a little less when it comes to the edge of any object or the human face. -
I think the best colors for sites are the ones who suits the site best, according to its theme. If it is a site about Heavy Metal, it would be something dark, black maybe. You get the idea. However, I think that relaxing colors are great speaking in general. “Smoky” colors too (a color mixed with grey). White is an all time classic, but it’s being used too much. I like seeing other colors in the background. It’s quite original.

Photoshop Vs Paintshoppro Which Appliction do you use
dragong replied to arunkumarhg's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I've only used Paint Shop Pro once. But Photoshop is adequate for every graphics need in my opinion. And I think it's more simple to use than Paint Shop Pro.
