  1. Would this key be somewhat akin to the system being used on the newer model mercedes cars? but hell yeah I'll take 74 foot pounds per wheel =)
  2. I belive it is a path of no-return, one can only hope that technology will one day help man to live closer to nature.
  3. Is one able to buy a lifetime subsription like tivo?
  4. Theres been talk that they're able to fit in the radio chasis of a car, that should make them very popular with the "pimp my ride" crowd.
  5. I hear you. It's the same here, in SoCal the smog and light polouition are so bad one can barely see the sky at night.
  6. Interesting, sounds like something they'd do in japan. Any sort of specific stimuli that triggers the decompositon? Or is it just an issue of time?
  7. While I've always professed that idiot proofing everything will just breed a better idiot, this seems like a very good idea, mainly because the people I live with NEVER clean out their fridge, it's gotten so bad that I've actually found bad FROZEN food in the freezer. I've learned to just stay away from perishibles in the house all together. Got any links? I'll set them as my roomates' homepages...
  8. The essay makes a good point, the as joy of our sucesses becomes greater so does the agony of defeat. Quite frankly I belive mankind has over-extended its tecnological nessesity. peoples lives although broad and interesting have become over-complex and frustrating as well. I too would much rather live in a time where man toiled in the feild to feed himself and his family than the time where man toils in the office to pay for gas, electicity, cell phones, newcars, morgatges... but I'm afraid we can never go back. If I may offer some criticizm I found the introduction somewhat boring, the first line seemed over-used, as a result I wound up skimming through most of the introduction. I dunno, just my thoughts.
  9. I've been reading up on bmws new 545i it uses a new variable valve lift system called valvetroinc, somehow it allows bmw to avoid the use of throttle bodies all together, this along with their variable length intake runners and vanos make the new engine very inruiging, it must have a very flat torque curve. but I am still uncertain about how the valvetronic system works, I am already aware how cam-switchover vvl systems like hondas vtec and toyotas vvtli work, but this is completly different. does anyone have any good info on how this system works?
  10. I used that md-deck sony came out with like five years ago, its for in car use, records off the radio, mdx-800 or something, I used to be really into electronics, now im kinda out of touch. its a pretty cool deck if you like md's but I crashed my car a while ago so it's pretty much useless to me now.
