yes, but remember the age between the forums. Mercury Board's history is only 2 years old, and QSF is built on top of MercuryBoard, which totals up to be about 3 years old. They've been working really hard. Version 1.2 is due soon and I can't give insider info :)xboxrulz

try to wiggle your DVI/VGA port, I tried that before on my old school's PCs, people vandalized it, so I have to keep wiggle until I get the correct colours back. Also, as stated above, remove and reinsert your graphics card and check is there enough ventilation available in your computer.xboxrulz

the empty calorie, I love to use CLI, I use it on occasions like compilation or computer maintenace, or even system recovery. I'm not scared of the CLI whatsoever. I was already prepared with the CLI since I moved over to Linux. I was already using "CLI" in Windows.Debian as a old timer, (as in stable is still around kernel 2.4.x is quite ridiculous) needs to get refresh, needs to stop overriding people's settings, and allow people to open a new X server on command (Debian requires you to be root in order to do so, but that's annoying). Plus, the DEB package system annoys me. dpkg -i, where's remove? apt-get remove, that seem to work?I rather use RPM, it's simple and easy, never had a slight problem. Except sometimes the dependency drives me nuts, so I use apt-get for SuSE.This is entirely my opinionxboxrulz

stylexp, doesn't really drag your machine alot, but all Windows theming software will anyways.xboxrulz

well, PS3 is more expensive and it has a partial water cooling system, why? because of the processor, not to rip your money.xboxrulz

I've heard about SLI laptops couple months ago, but do I want/need it, no. It's useless to me, why? I don't need 2 graphics card, all I need is a battery that lasts me 24 hrs.xboxrulz

no, but it just drags down the speed a lil'xboxrulz

well, Ubuntu is harder to use than SuSE, I must say, because it keeps overriding my settings and it really pisses me off. I don't like any Debian-base distribution. It pisses me off.xboxrulz

well, in that case, kwin.xboxrulz

I'm also smelling another election soon. Plus, it's like the American elections, all we know is that there are 2 sides, Republican and I forogt what was the other one, but anyways, Liberals and the Conservatives are the big 2, third is the NDP, then the Bloc Quebecois, then the Green Party. I was hoping the Grreen Party to get at least 2-5 seats, but my hopes were way too high.xboxrulz

I think by the time singularity comes out, Linux 3.0 would be out. Linux is taking forever to just jump major versions, it's been 10 years, but development is going 1,500 km/s...xboxrulz

I completely ditched Microsoft Office and no longer support people who uses M$ Office. (I don't even own a business, or earn money from it anyways) as part of Operation BMS (Ban Micro$oft)I like the ODF better than the MS formats, they are smaller too. As for being slower, yes they are a bit slower (especially when I run it on my laptop)xboxrulz

lol, and it's so true!Pina, you're lucky that your school runs Linux, in Canada, most schools run Windows and most people here are infested by Windows.I'm one of the lucky ones who escaped the infestation (partially).xboxrulz
