  1. I recommend searching for answers on Google. Hey, it works.
  2. Of course, the learning curve might be a bit steep for neophytes. But it's pooowerful.
  3. Opera is The Best. But here is a link to Fravia+'s free softwares' page. Because I'm lazy. :-) Searchlores
  4. Hah. I use Opera 7.54u1 and it passed ALL of the tests! Woohoo. I love my Opera.
  5. AOL bashers are overrated. ;)Seriously, what does it matter to you? If they are going to bankrupt, let them. Blah blah.
  6. After you've used Fluxbox, KDE and Gnome would be monstrosities.
  7. Resort. Emphasis on strategy, not graphics. Reeally text-based. It'll bring back the nostalgia. Check it out. I recommend telnet ioresort.com 2323 since it's more realistic.
  8. Where's Debian? Knoppix? Xandros? Linspire? Ubuntu? DSL?Missed a 'few' of the major distributions. You really need to add more choices.Or just add an other.
  9. As long as the library is accessible and not pay-only. But I love the idea! :-)Look at the Gutenberg Project!
  10. Goody for Linux geeks--partition/erase the disk! AND it'll look SO cool on the coffee table! Would be nice if this geek had the money...
  11. Under the GPL. "Blender is the first and only fully integrated 3D graphics creation suite allowing modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, realtime interactive 3D and game creation and playback with cross-platform compatibility - all in one tidy, easily and free downloadable package!" Amazing. It's definitely just as good (and better :-) than the expensive things on thte market. Check it out. https://www.blender.org/
  12. There is no -best- engine. If you only rely on a few mainstream engines like Google, Altavista, etc. you will never get the full potential of the web. Use different engines for different needs. But I do use Google a lot.
  13. Fluxbox is much lighter AND much prettier.I heard about a bug in the Mandrake installation. But whatever suits you. I recommend Xandros.
  14. Windows is fine if you use the right tools. Really. I run XP and I have no problems. It helps as I can be very lazy at times (but I donwanna edit the config files I just wanna point and click!)GNU/Linux or BSD is better in the long term, though. But Macs sure are pretty.
  15. Please. If you think Firefox is hard to understand, blah blah, take a look at the (far superior) Opera browser. It's about the best browser I know of ('sides Lynx:), but very advanced. Netscape? It turned me off as soon as it installed all those AIM stuff. Besides, you can get Mozilla. Anyway, if you only saw IE, you may think Firefox is the best, but I advise Opera. Also, IE isn't THAT bad. Quit surfin' the pr0n.
