  1. ... place in the target. Far more consistently than you. Normally around second to third place. Good job man, good job.
  2. Actually, it isn't all that hard to smuggle. >_> I mean, it's not like they'd notice a laptop sitting underneath the table... XP They haven't noticed it before, at le-I mean, WHAT cheating? >_> You heard nothing.
  3. Yeah, that's fine, as long as you don't steal my idea. >_> 'Cause that would be pretty eeeeeeeevil of you.
  4. Second'D. Zonelabs has actually a fairly nice firewall up their sleeves. >_> Or sleeve.
  5. Well then you should learn more php and java, eh? Maybe brush up a bit on more basic topics, as well.
  6. I wish I had my old 89 back again... ;_;But then again, an 86 suffices for now. Add to that the fact that I've got TI Toshiba back on my side, and you've got... one helluva ragtag team. But a fun, math competition-pwning ragtag team!
  7. Actually, SP2's firewall isn't all that great. There's been quite a few exploits and bugs discovered since its release. I mean, I hate to say it, but anything released by Windows tends to be fairly unsecured. Generally, if you're a huge company, either someone from the inside leaks code and exploits or you just attract so much attention that someone finding a bug in your code is inevitable.
  8. PHP is very logical, actually. I mean, if someone like me can understand coding in PHP, then it's gotta be really, really logical. Or, ya know, just plain BASIC. XD But seriously, PHP is very logical. I'm just having a brain fart here, and don't know why my login thingy isn't working. >_>
  9. Lbl ArandInt(0,69)->noobIf noob>42 thenDisp noobStopEndIfGoto A
  10. Indeed, you are. ;; But yeah, not many of our friends know php, eh? I've asked... like... EVERYONE I KNOW, and nobody seems to know anything about it. Which sucks when it comes to something technical and not something I can pick out logically.
  11. You know, if you go to the library and check out a couple of books on PHP and MySQL books... such as "PHP & MySQL For Dummies", you might learn quite a bit as well, without spending too much time on it.At least, that's how I'm learning it. And don't discount friends and acquaintances, as well. They can be very helpful if you know the right people.
  12. I beg to differ. If you're smart enough and have both the time and resources to devote to the project, you may be able to work on it alone, depending on what kind of a MMORPG you're trying to create here. Plus, you can consult various sources and not necessarily have them on your team, i.e. working with you at every step of the way.
  13. I'm not sure it necessarily promotes a positive environment. I mean, it's not really hard to get to ten decent posts and all, but as you said, it does promote many more "freeloaders" who post ten times decently, get an account, and leave the boards permanently. Hopefully many of these people are caught and kicked from the system, but I'm sure at least a few of them slip by unnoticed.In addition, the posting incentive induces a sense of obligation. After awhile, people may start posting simply to maintain their account. A lower limit to posting should never be declared, since that would only allow them to post the absolute minimum and hang on by a thread to their accounts. Instead, the administrators and moderators should look at each poster's recent posting history in detail, and judge whether or not they deserve to keep their account. Everyone deserves a chance to defend themselves, as well, so they should contact the user and request that they post more often personally. If they do not present a decent argument as to why they should not be kicked from the system, then they deserve to be kicked.Besides, if colleges posted an absolute minimum requirement level to get in and accepted everyone who applied with those minimums, pretty soon you'd have Ivy-League colleges overflowing with people who are willing to do only the absolute minimum to be guaranteed success- not the people who are actually willing to work as hard as they can in order to achieve the highest level of success possible.I'm sure this has already been considered and put into place somewhat... but yeah, something doesn't sit well with me and the posting incentive. At least remove the minimum posting rule so that people are left guessing as to how often and how good their posts should be. Only then will you have people actually contributing valuable opinions.
  14. Well, that's your opinion. Personally, I moved past Linkin Park awhile ago, after I got over all those things I call teenage hormones. >_> Nowadays I listen more to, say, Seether, Crossfade, or Thornley. >_>
  15. If you have a long download, though, you might as well disable your virus protection and let it sit there. >_> 'Cause, you know, nobody will try to break into your computer. People are too nice for that. xPBut yeah, I find bittorrent to be particularly helpful... as well as GetRight. >_> Though it only allows 5 simultaneous connections to one source....
  16. Windows works well enough for me that I haven't found a reason to switch to Linux yet. I mean, I've heard it's good and all, but I'd have to have my computer infected with dozens of viruses due to Microsoft's incompetence in order to be convinced to switch to Linux.
  17. I switched from IE to Firefox recently... but I still have to open up IE once in awhile due to compatibility errors. >_> But yeah, since my memory is low anyways, I really don't notice much of a difference whether I have 10 windows of Firefox open or 10 windows of IE. XPTHe thing I don't like about Firefox is that it doesn't let me use GetRight automatically. ;_;
  18. O_o;; I think it goes without saying that the bigger the corporation releasing the software, the more vulnerable it is. They can't be very efficient or secure with that large of a company, so they just do the best they can for as little money spent as possible.Which is why I'm not using IE, I'm using Firefox.
  19. Well, yes, of course Gmail is full of bugs at the moment. It's only in the beta stages, and the whole point of launching a beta test is to find flaws in your system and guard against those when the actual thing comes out. One of the things I find most frustrating about Gmail is that it doesn't have a rich-text editor. >_> And the other day I got about 10 spam messages. First time that's happened for me on Gmail.
  20. Yeah, a friend of mine (actually probably a couple friends of mine) has it... though he says it's not the best game graphics-wise, the concept of the game is a new one for the Star Wars game series. I mean, you're supposed to be able to fight at any level of combat on several famous battles, right?It's worth getting, if only to check out a new direction in thought. >_>
  21. Ah, don't bring that here, EtM. Seriously, you know how that'll end up. >_>And as of now, I'm listening to "Echo" by Trapt... yeah, I'm into rock. >_> What?
  22. Yes, it really does depend on the person. I personally got sick all of the time when I was little, so it definitely paid off for me. I mean, everyone gets sick. If you're willing to take the chance and be fickle about your spendings, then I guess it's justified. But there's always that chance you'll come down with something...
  23. Yes, if you're using Apache, Linux is the way to go.However, in terms of help and ease in troubleshooting, Windows is definitely much better. So many more people use Windows than Linux, so you've got a lot of people to ask from.
