I feel Linux is better... and many use Linux with apache I feel Windows NT or other Server like 2003 advanced server is good and provides lots of functionality... and when it comes for server uptime... Linux surpass the windows counterpart... My experience says that

yes IE doesnot support favicons. I have used favicons in my site but it doesnot display. but firefox does.hence firefox is better in that context

i presume it to be inside the same folder... Coz the webpages that are viewable access the resources from the same folder where it is stored unless stated otherwise.... but be sure to maintain the same hierarchy of folders and files...that is if you have images folder inside your website folder in your local computer... then make a folder images inside www also and upload all files inside it...

hey I have installed PHP5 and know what I found that it doesnot have the inbuilt mysql support and I tried uncommenting and adding the Php_mysql.dll module but the apache server (Apache 1.3x) says could not load php_module.dll, but I have installed the module in the same folder that contains php5apache.dll and other dlls is also there...Any one tell me, What might have caused this problem and how to solve this...My web development is standing still...I used PHP4x and it had inbuilt support for mysql and I dint have the problem... but when I upgraded the PHP i got the problemmm..

I too think Firefox is uselesss... Coz I have used it and found is no good for browsing...also it has the buggy interface... All I loved about Interface was the search bar...its the coolest thing about adding search engines....Internet Explorer is good

I learned HTML myself from books that are available in the market... and the best I found is The complete Reference to HTML though you need to know the basics from other books... you can get the whole story of HTML tags in the book...Also you need to learn JavaScript or VBScript for dynamic Effects....For that you can refer Mastering JavaScript or Jscript....thats all you need to learn from client side scripting and about server side scripting you need to learn PHPand there are threads about PHP

My first Programming Language was GW-BASIC then came QuickBASIC, My first crush in Language is C and later it turned to C++ again to VB Now I am into JAVA and C#. Also PHP is my favorite Server Scripiting Language. I hate ASP but I Love ASP .NET...SO what do you think... The future is ASP.NET???
