HiI've finaly got my starterpackage, but have a couple of questions to get started.1. Do there exist an manual for Xisto hosting service? Where can I find it?2. My first problem was to set up pop3 at my e-mail client, where can I find the adresses for pop3 server and smpt server.3. To upload files. Is it possible to upload it as zipped and unzip at the server?I might have more questions as this is my first really proff hosting account, therefor if there is an manual (not just faq), then please help me to find it.ThanksBrgdsJens

Thanks for your advice. What I did was MS 101 problemsolution, reinstall os. It worked far as well, but still only "some" shared folders is working!!!??? Everything else is working fully as wished. And yes ofcause did I know about hubs and it's also what I've connected me through. I think that I'll next investigate a little into an Sygate brigde, it might works at that way. Brgds Jens

But the most of any scripts that I've been used and downloaded did I done from the most favorite place as follow: http://www.hotscripts.com/ It's a good board and if you can find what you're searching for there, is there the most of the time some reference to other sites where you can find what you're looking for. Hi,As I'm still new into this board, can't I say for sure if it dosn't allready exist. By the way did I the other day req for language files to diffrent PHP scripts. I did investigate the rplys I did get, but my conclusion was that I might do it by myself, and I'm also almost finished with it.What I would like to say is that I don't do this just for my self, and when I'm finished would I of cause share it with me to others, and why not share it to other members of this board.I don't think that it would be the last time that I'm doing surch of modifications, and I'm dayly praying the gods of GNU and if I'm doing anything that I feel that others can have use of, would I proudly share and sacrifice my outcome to the GNU heaven.I'm actualy now working on tranlations of XOOPS and several XOOPS Modules, and then also OSCommerence, PHPBB. Hi,I might be one out of many who have problems or getting trouble with MS. I've an LAN network at home set up for 3 computers, and everything is working without printersharing and filesharing.I'm using XP Pro with firewall disabled, have done everything (almost) to try to fix it out. Internetsharing is working, but I can't connect or disconnect from the client stations, and then either print from other computers in the network.I know allready, and I really wish if I sometime in the future could trash MS forever for Linux, I've tried several times but always failed to conf.Please if any could have an idea what I'm doing wrong in my network.ThanksBrgdsJens

Hi,My expirence regarding this is like that you can't do as much in PHP as you can in XOOPS. I've tried both PostNuke and PHPNuke without totaly satisfying. But if you like to personalize your site is knowlege into HTML and PHP a must.CheersJens

Hi I agree that the best php programs is as you have mentioned, and specialy XOOPS as it's very useful an you can almost do what you want with it. HiCSS is what all love to hate, and specialy regarding the browser war. I would like to start an discussion about crossbrowser CSS styles. Is it possible or do you really have to make 3-4 diffrent CSS file everytime you create a site using CSS for both OS and browsers?Ex. IE for MS Windows vs IE for MACorMozilla for MS Windows vs Linux vs MACThe further more. Hi,My favorite tool is almost about what kind of page that I'm doing. When I was born into the webdesigning world does there only exist one editor, notepad, but after a while came several editors, and I did started with HomeSite which was the bridge for me into the world of Macromedia. Then was I only working with basic html sites.Today when I've learned the basic of PHP is it back to past again, not notepad but HTMLKit. I'm awaiting for the day when someone have find the ultimate wysiwyg editor for PHP sites (Dreamweaver isn't good enough yet).So my question to answer is: Dreamweaver for basic webdesign and HTMLKit for PHP.CheersBrgdsJens

Hi there,An comment here..:-)Funny to see that I'm not alone to have find out that PHP is more logical that ASP and ASP dot Net, and then either that PHP is the most popular.I'm self learnd into both basic html for arround 10-12 years ago, and did get bored and interested into creating dynamical pages, and did waste alot of time to try to getting wise on ASP.
